On Chesil Beach - Ian McEwan

I would just like to make a recommendation for anybody that loves litreature like I do. I am having an extension done on my house which has been going on since early summer so I have not felt comfortable in reading in ages. I picked up a book for the first time this Christmas and I really did not want to start it, I just didn't feel any desire to read it. However, eventually I started reading it and I am so glad I did.

The novel is one of the best I have ever read, it is suitable for everybody who shares strong impulses of love but especially those who have loved and lost. It is one of the most epic books I have ever read in my life. It is based on the story of two young partners on their wedding night and the fear of what must inevitably follow.

It's beautiful and it's one of the first books that has made me want to cry, I never cry and it was actually annoying that I could'nt express myself in any other way. The ending was so incredible that I could'nt get over it for several days and made me open my eyes about how I live my life. I hope others can share in the message of this book and wake up about their own lives.

Please go out and rent, borrow or buy this book because it is worth a read. I gurantee if you have ever loved somebody this book is for you and that you will realise so much about yourself and others from just a bit of paper and ink that you hold in your hands. Please if you do post here and let me know what you think because I would be genuinely interested to find out. Good luck and happy reading. :D
