Now that I've read the rules for about the 25th time...

... I don't see anything about gaining rep power....

So how do you gain it?

 

The more rep you have, the more rep power you have.

 

You gain it when people click on the little star to the left of your post and you can get give rep or bad rep, to see what rep you have, if you have any, click on settings at the top of the page.

 

I think it depends on how long you've been a member, how much rep you have (I find it goes up by 1 every 200 rep you recieve) and something else which I've forgotten.

For every 180 days you're here, you get 1 point.
For every 1000 posts, you get 1 point.
For every 200 reputation points, you get 1 point.

Does that take the magic out of it? haha

 

180 seems a bit random.
