Now that all the hype has died down, I'm going to confess my true feelings.

Without Flowmotion, KH3D would have majorly sucked as a game, and the only reason for playing it would have been for the story, which still wasn't very good until the end where we got all those plot twists.

There. I said it.

 

I didn't play it, so I would not know... but I'll look foward to play as riku again.. and sure it seems a realy short game (7 worlds or a little more).
But I guess all handled games sucks in comparison with the console's game... but how would you rate it with the other "side games" ?
So far I am tied with Bbs/Chain.

yeah. Still haven't played 3D so this thread is kinda a downer. shouldn't have come.

 

I liked it, it wasn't bad. Playing from Riku's perspective was neat, though I didn't really like the spirits, I thought they were irritating. The storyline just made me hate Sora more than I did through Kingdom Hearts II. I never liked Riku before, and the game made me really feel a connection with his character, so I like Riku more now.

It wasn't so bad, all it really did was show us what was happening in between major plots.

I still liked BBS better though.

 

My main problem with Dream Eaters is that Sora and Riku shared their Dream Eater and command collections, which really broke the immersion for me. Separating them would have made switching between Sora and Riku much more meaningful gameplay wise. At the very least, they could have made Spirits and Commands equipped to Sora unavailable to Riku and vice-versa. As for Riku, he was actually the main character of this title.


And I agree that it wasn't bad, but you wouldn't have missed much if you just went straight the last world. That subplot with Maleficent and Pete only served to bring Lea into the plot and help get him (as in the character, Lea) up to speed with what's going on. They may as well have stuck him in the new organization only to betray them again and then reveal that he has a Keyblade.

 

I don't know if I read this right but are you saying that the Link attacks for all dream eaters are the same for both sora and riku?

No. I'm saying that the menu that lets you choose what Dream Eaters you want to use is the same for Sora and Riku. Any Dream Eaters that you made as Sora are also usable by Riku and vice-versa. The same goes for commands, though there are a few commands that will only work for one character.

 

I traded in my DSi and got a 3DS XL Just for KH 3D, at first I was really disappointed, I hated the spirits and the story was absolutely terrible, but when I got to the grid, I started to enjoy it a bit more, and around the symphony of sorcery, I was straight up addicted, I must have beat the game in a day and a half I played that much. It was a very short game and they could have added way more but I suppose it was just a lead up to KH3. Overall though I enjoyed it, and flowmotion was fun as heck.

 

I don't mind that your spirits and itens are shared, but I do feel It would be better if you just unlocked this when "The game was over", by one side it is dumb to need to recreat all the things you already did only to get 100% (It was the worst part of BBs in my opinion, I think even for the multiplayer aspect we should be able to import everything we made into one avatar), in other hand the game must feel much easier if you start playing the second character with all the others buff.
