This series has been one of my prized obsessions. The plot is captivating and the subplots help develop each girl's character even more. Although Asuna is the one who's mostly associated with Negi, my favorite girl out of the 31 students would be Chisame Hasegawa. She's typically a pragmatist and doesn't really socialize as much. However, on the internet, she's the number 1 ranked "Net Idol." She's also a gifted computer geek as well. Although she tries to stay out of the magic world as much as possible, Chisame is pretty much fated to realize that the real world is a whole lot more interesting and meaningful than whatever's on the net. I could list the other girls biographies and my opinions about them, but what say you?
OMG! I thought me and my friend where the only people in the entire would that read that book! we watch the anime, read the book, find pictures online, in other words, we're totally obessed. But wow, i never knew.... That's strange, btw, cause in the anime, it was Nogi Springfield, not Nagi, but whatev.
It's a cool manga . I've only read the first two though. TT.TT My bros. has most of them so im gonna hav to borrow * steal* them from him one of these days ^^
The best part about this series is that it's fated to go longer than any of Ken Akamastu's previous series. It's already at Chapter 200+, which might mean that the story could probably go longer than the DBZ manga. :p
Well, if you're going by official English releases, the Mahora Festival arc is starting to reach the climax. Negi had just done his Pactio with Chiu-sama. The plan for the Mahora students versus Chao's Martian army is in full effect. The Hero Units have arrived and the barrier's been deactivated by Chachamaru allowing the demon gods to be summoned. For those of you who are just sticking with what you've read up to this point, what do you think Chisame's Pactio item is and what will it do? *SPOILERS* And for those of you who like reading the scanlations (like me), we've finally met another member of Nagi's Crimson Wing. Negi's close to obtaining more power. He finally did another Pactio with another one of the girls. His students are still missing and the biggest, overpowered jerk in the manga so far frames Negi for something he didn't do. Will Negi obtain what he needs to exact his revenge? Or will something far more sinister rear its ugly head? *END SPOILERS* So, what do you think?
*has #1 - #16 of the manga, except #14* Hmm, Chisame's artifact.. At first I would think it was something used for digital means, almost as if she is wireless. But then I think about her cosplay hobby, so it might be a combination of both. It's hard to tell, I was a little surprised by Setsuna's artifact for example - it was pretty simple, yet it did it's job.
The next volume is out! Yup. Number 17 is out. And boy does it show a lot of surprises. Chisame's artifact is revealed and Magical Girls Biblion makes a comeback! Chao ups the ante by using special chrono-displacement technology. Misora actually participates! Yuna shows off her marksmanship skills. Kaede vs. Mana. Chiu vs. Chachamaru. Negi vs. Chao. Oh, and where the hell is Kotaro in all of this?! After everything is said and done, will Chao STILL leave Mahora academy? *SPOILERS BELOW* Asuna and Setsuna finally meet up with Konoka and Kaede. Yue has amnesia. Nodoka is off with a treasure hunter group and has just acquired a new artifact (NOT a Pactio one.) Kotaro's still working as a prize fighter. Ako, Akira and Natsumi can only wait for the tournament finals. And in a last ditch effort to attain enough power to defeat our increasingly annoying emo antagonist, Negi (the affinity of light) accepts Eva's test to wield the ultimate power of darkness. Oh, and Chisame's still there as acting guardian (and fanservice). Will Negi obtain what he's looking for? Or will the darkness consume him and his powers forever? *END SPOILER* Only one way to find out! Grab the manga today!
