Oh, I can just direct to here now instead of having to find links to the tutorials. Many Thanks. They are very useful. And with the rise in people with Vegas it's worth a sticky.

*scratches head* Is it possible to make screencaps or just still frames with Sony Vegas? I know you could in WMM but I dont know how in Vegas.

Above the video preview there should be a disk icon. Scrolling over it, it should say "Save snapshot to file" (Or you could pick the one to the left of it.)

The tut posted in my first post should help you with that one. It's really rather or not you want to pan/zoom in or just make the entire thing widescreen.

Uhh...I have Vegas Movie Studio + DVD Architect, and I cant do character (bezier?) masking, apparently because I don't have the "Full program." What is the full program, if I need it? (And I have yet to register Vegas and yet to put in the serial number for DVD Architect, incase that is important).

Sorry if we're not supposed to post questions here, btw >.>.

So are you on a free trial right now? I think you need to have the full version to be able to use all the features in Vegas. If you need a keygen, PM me and I'll try to set you up with one in the next few days here.

No, I've purchased this version, and in order to use it I typed in the included serial code. I just haven't registered it, because I'm a bit iffy about giving out my personal information to anyone that I don't know personally, including Sony. I also have DVD Architect installed, but I haven't typed the serial code in for it yet. I can't use it until I do.

What kind of registration form is it? If it doesn't involve a credit card number, you can probably just fill out some random information.

It has nothing mentioning a credit card number; Just my address and name and all that. Here's what it says:

"To receive email notifications when updates are available, and to ensure our ability to assist you in case of a misplaced serial number, please register with full and accurate contact information."

So, by the looks of it, registering shouldn't change anything in the program, it just gives them a way to get in contact with me.

Register anyways, but you can fill it out with false information as long as there is a valid e-mail. I was talking to a friend of mine who uses Vegas Studio, and he said it doesn't have masking. I don't know for sure because I have Vegas 6.0.

Oh, Vegas Studio doesn't have masking? Dang...Okay, well, thanks anyway. XD At least I can still layer, that's better that Windows Movie Maker...

And, yeah, I'll be sure and fill it out...Thank you. Who knows, maybe I can save up my money and get the real Vegas sometime. ^^;;.

Question. How different is Vegas 6 from 7? I see nothing new, except maybe Vista compatibility and more "HD"ness. Hmm...

By the way, masking seems nice, but lately. I haven't done any masking at all.

Question: How do you slow down or speed up clips?

ph the video clip, you right click on it and theres an option you select(forgot what its called)and than a line should appear, just bring that down or up.or you can just hold CTRL while your extending or squeezing the clip.a little zig zag line should appear that means its being slown or speed up.

I did once have vegas 6.0 but it was a FREE 30 day trial, but now if I want to use Vegas then I have to buy it- it's very expensive. Is it possible to get a more complex movie making programme (like Vegas) for cheaper?
