Looks funny, but other than that I'm thinking it'll be pretty dumb. I would've prefered an actual sequel. Still looks better than Cars 2, though.
I have faith in Pixar *cough*ToyStory3*cough* more than I do in Disney itself, but I still hope they don't screw this up. This teaser had me laughing at the end, but teasers aren't going to be enough...
Not sure how to feel about it, so I'm going to withold judgement for now. With trailers like this, it's just to inform the public that it's coming out next year, so they want to create some early hype. I could have gotten the same thing from a poster. Pixar always makes good movies. Im not a fan of Monsters Inc., but it is a good movie. If it said more about te actual story, I would probably have a better idea of what to think.
It's too early to tell whether or not it'll be good. Pixar has had it's amazing sequels, and some that could have been easily forgotten. Now, we wait...
But where could they have gone with a sequel? There was a perfect sense of closure at the end, so there isn't really anything they could have done but a prequel. They should have left it alone and made a new movie instead, even if it would have taken longer than a prequel to an already existing movie.
You say perfect... But I guess you're right. I just feel like this will be disappointing. Less feeling and more bad jokes.
Can't really tell from a minute preview, and Pixar usually makes original previews; as in its a scene that never shows up in the movie itself. I will reserve judgment until actually seeing it or an actual trailer.
Well I'm quite excited for it, I think it will be quite interesting to see what the crud they do at Uni :3 /alsogoingtoUniin2013 :3
haha can you imagine them all getting drunk at a party and starting a riot. This is what i want to see from pixar/disney.
Personally I can't agree that Pixar always makes good movies after what happened last year with Cars 2 :c. On top of that, their new film Brave isn't even doing extremely well critically so far (it's definitely not doing poorly mind you, but what I've heard so far is that it's nowhere near the quality of the films that made them so great to begin with). Of course, there's still plenty of time to see how that really turns out since all of the opinions so far are from pre-screenings -- the earlybirds might just be acting nitpicky. Anyway, I can't say I'm particularly excited for Monsters University actually :c Would love it if I was proven wrong, but the first film is over ten years old and considering what happened the last time they tried to expand the universe of one of their films (Cars 2), I'm kind of getting a "you should just leave it alone" feeling here. Plus, all this sequel/prequel business kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth (ala how DreamWorks ran Shrek into the ground with sequel overload, although they've supposedly been doing better lately with the sequels for other stuff like Kung Fu Panda & Madagascar). I dunno, Monsters Inc. was never one of my top Pixar films and imo really not the best source for a prequel if they had to do one. I'd rather see something new, but I do genuinely hope it'll turn out well.
