Just went to an anime convention yesterday...

'Twas fun.

There were free hugs, lots of Haruhi, Bleach, Naruto and Vocaloid cosplays (& more), a few anons (they were selling some anon masks and I bought one and whenever an anon would see someone else with the mask on, we'd just kind of nod to each other), plushies, cheap manga, hentai, DVDs, keychains and all of that.

I bought a Kyon cosplay (from Haruhi Suzumiya), two Gurren Lagann keychains, red color contacts, and a Haruhi Suzumiya wallscroll. I just wish I had gotten the Lucky Star messenger bag instead of the color contacts. BUt meh. I enjoyed myself.

I wanted to have my friend who was with me to buy the Haruhi cosplay so that we can both go to school wearing the cosplays to school. But she was like "EWWW SKIRTS." And I was disappointed. But meh, she probably can't pull it off anyway.

Oh, and the cast of Soul Eater was there, too

 

That sounds like fun, I was supposed to go to an anime convention, but when It came up my parents didn't allow me to go...I had a cosplay and everything....

how much money did you spend?

 

Errr, a lot. Probably a little over $100. Not including the tickets.

 

I go to conventions. The only things I buy there now a days are messenger bags, wallets, and ramune.

 

It would've been smart of me to have followed you.

This is why i don't go to those things.

Yep, I was supposed to go as sasuke from naruto...my friend was makeing me be him....

Agh was it the Anime Festival in NYC?
If so I was supposed to go to that, except I ran out of money before I bought a ticket. .-.

Plus I didn't have time to make the costume I wanted to, though I'm pushing that back for Halloween instead. xD

Oh I know some people that went to that, assuming it's the local one that was happening soon.

I've never been to one, I'd like to go though.

But no, i didn't take pictures due to the fact that my bro wouldn't let me have his camera to use.

Speaking of which, I remember one girl dressed up as misty and used as minimal substances as possible, and it still looked amazing.

Anime Cons are always fun. 2 years ago, Spike Spencer dropped by and gave us all a lesson on voice-acting, and last year I met Johnny Yong Bosch and gave him a Trigun keychain.

There was also Comic-Con last week where I met Brad Swaille. We were all bored, so me and some friends took him out for diner in the evening. It was awesome :)

 

Would've been awesomer if I knew who any of those people were. :D
