Is this a good idea for a Final Fantasy game?

    An assassin who works for the government almost gets killed by somone on the inside. Such a tramatic experience makes him build an alter-ego he knows nothing about that hates the government and kills them one by one when he falls asleeps. So, playing as him, you will have to find the traitors, kill off who the government wants you to kill off and, at the same time, kill the government one by one when he goes into his alter ego form.

    He also builds a friendship with certain people within the government it's self and they become apart of your party. If you build a good relationship with these people in your party, you can receive a scroll from each of them that allows him to do special abilities with them and the like.

    Thoughts?

    Also, I would make this myself and probably call it 'Final Fantasy: Double-Edge" or something like that.

    This idea would work more as a stealth game than an RPG, unless you were intending to create a stealth Final Fantasy as the basis in the first place.

    Wasn't this basically the plot for "My own worst Enemy"?

    A show that looked like shit and was shit and got canceled because it was shit.
