Is it just me or...?

Is it just annoying when people who only like (or only heard of) shonen anime that has been over-rated by idiotic fanboys (Naruto, Bleach, FMA, Rave Master etc.), and yet still call themselves anime fans? It's like the group of friends I sit with at my table. I doubt they can name 5 animes that aren't shonen. It's sooooooooo annoying. Who else feels this way?

 

I actually happen to like FMA and Rave Master (the manga, not the anime), but I do agree with you. And it's funny, because I just remembered Death Note is shonen.

 

Yeah... that's why I don't like the "anime" fans at my school because they are all Shonen junkies.

 

Well "real" anime fans are all 4channers. So I'd say both groups are petty equal in fail.

 

True, I like Rave Master and I have a few FMA manga myself, but some people just never try watching something else than Shonen.

Same for me. Although, I did see an anti-drug poster up and it said "Anime" and it had a list of a bunch of anime and not all of them was Shonen, so I was fairly surprised and I've always wanted to meet this person...

This is why I only deal with people that view hentai. They always know shit.

 

I hate it when they have only seen like two episodes and read about it on Wikpedia and they say they know everything about it. Gah I hate that!

Yeah, I read more shonen manga and watch more shonen manga than anything else but I try to read all types of manga. But since I am guy, people fighting is awesome to me.

 

Oh yeah, I hate that kind of stuff too. But normally I don't really have to deal with on account that like no one at my school even knows what an anime is. And the ones that do I have mostly got them into it.
