Is anyone else annoyed...

with all the Sicadas (sp?) now, since there all dying I see a lot on the floor and I keep stepping on them. >.< It makes chrunchy noises.

 

Cicada's are out right now? Wow, I thought they're only out every twenty years, and their last waking point was like two years ago.

And your floor? They're on your floor? UGH.

 

I HATE THEM! Thats the one thing I hate about summer! BUGS! There flying at you and then your keeping thinking there on you because of the suspense!

We don't get them here. We have torrential rain and flood warnings at present so no bugs.

Those kind are only out every 20 years.
Some hatch after 3 years, some after 7, some after 9...so yeah I guess it depends on the specific species

 

It's actually pretty nice during those hot summer nights. I personally like the atmosphere it creates.

 

I remember listening to this guy talking about the cicadas down in Chicago. Where I guess they're in plague porportions. The guy said that the people are making recipes to EAT these things since they're so prolific.

But we don't have that many around where I live. I hear a few at evening which is rather nice.

Theres no cicadas where I live.
But when I went to New York in summer...it was quite nice and I tried to catch one.

They're the ******bags of all insects.I learned that when I went to Greece 2 years ago.Besides earwigs and moquitos,those I really hate

 

cicadas r good for the wildlife and trees [when they die] o.o theyre annoying, but they cant even bite xD so other than making more of themselves and offering themselves up as food, theyre useless xD oh well, rnt we all =P
