I may or may not have acquired Mine craft illegally so I am not sure if this works.

 

You have to have a "Premium" account to play online. Basically, you have to have either paid for the game or used a gift code.

The snapshots are great. Just use MagicLauncher to load the snapshot and you'll be fine.

MagicLauncher is the only reason I bother with Minecraft
