I just think that I am a decent singer and that if I could make a song that gets popular I'LL BECOME FAMOUS AND RICH AND AND. yeah.

 

You mean that if you can write a song that a big studio will buy and get put on mainstream radio you will get rich and famous. Correct?

Most artists and bands, though very skilled, are neither rich nor famous beyond having listeners and fans.

You should definitely cultivate it if you want and have talent, just do not expect to get rich and widely famous.

It is, I was just being a dork like always. Of course I'd love to have fans and people all over enjoy my music/talents.

I'm starting to experiment with music, even though art is probably my strongest talent currently. I'm also interested in acting...

You don't need perfect equipment for a decent recording. Something over $70 should be fine. But you can record in high quality MP3 no matter what microphone you use with a program like Audacity.
