I almost died yesterday. =D

I was away on our freshmen retreat (for 'teambuilding' or some bullsh*t like that), and we went on a night hike last night.
It was at about 9 PM, so it was pretty dark. Aside from the fact that people were trying to scare me, saying things like "JASON'S COMING FOR YOU!!!" or "Leatherface is over there!", I couldn't see a thing. My vision's bad as is.

Not to mention I'm a total klutz.

Anyway. We walk along a trail made of large rocks, roots, random trees, and since I'm half blind, people. Not fun.

We get to a clearing, and we play some stupid games. Then we moved on to marshmallow roasting.
I, being the pyro, stick my first marshmallow right into the flames, and the marshmallow soon is flaming. But since I half fell backwards, the marshmallow goes flying off the stick...
...
And right into the nearby lake. xD
The second one was more successful, as in I didn't fling it into a lake, but it was quite crispy. On the way to the benches, I tripped on a rock and came very close to falling into the fire. Face first, too.
That wouldn't have been as bad as losing a perfectly good charred marshmallow, though. =/
I did all of that, and several more hikes, went canoeing, and climbed a rock wall, all with a badly scraped knee. =D

It's not the first time I've almost gotten killed, though. It's weird. I'm used to close encounters.

 

You seriously wouldn't have died from falling face-first into a fire.

Unless you fell and decided to lay in it for about 15 seconds.

I also noticed that, unlike most of my other threads, this one says, "I almost died" and it has many more views. I'm not sure if that's good or not. xD

 

What would get even more views is if you wrote "I died".
