The cauldron battle or the other one? People tend to struggle with both but for entirely different reasons.

I agree with mixt, strategies depend on which battle it is with her. Personally, i struggled with the cauldron cuz i went in keyblade blazing and that doesnt do much good. Massive Ursula? Stand back and watch her cues for her moves and get a feel for her range. When she sucks in water with her mouth, use Mermaid's Kick ability for the speed to evade. Hope this helps!

It's been a while since I played through KH, so I won't be able to give you uber specific stuff like "hit with a thunder when she says [yadayada]". But for some basic strategy, if my memory serves correctly:

For the cauldron battle, Ursula is pretty much untouchable until you break the "spell". To do this, you have to attack her cauldron until you hear her let out a yell and she keels over, which means she's vulnerable. It also helps if you take out the eels, too, otherwise they will be bugging you and your party while you're trying to focus on Ursula.

For the gigantor Ursula, focus on attacking her head. And by her head, I mean the back of it, the top of it, and the upper sides; try your best to avoid her mouth, because that's where most of her atttacks will come from. She is vulnerable to some magic, if you can find a good time to attack with some. But I mostly just attack with keyblade, flee from mouth, attack with keyblade, flee from mouth, etc.

i remember from the Giant Ursula battle, go attack her from behind her face. i remember it's easier to fight her that way. also, Stop helps ALOT in this battle even though it wears off quickly but it helps.

and for the cauldron I suggest the thunder spell no need for aiming just swim above it and thunder-away and it should work out

I doubt that this thread is necessary to the thread owner anymore, but incase another member wants to look this up...
Although this will work eventually you are going to waste a lot of magic and time like that. Remember
    • Red=Fire
    • Blue=Blizzard
    • Yellow=Thunder
Usually you also have White=Meele but, if I remember correctly, in this case it just means she isn't casting anything. What you are looking to do is overload the cauldron by adding your spell to what she's doing. Look at what color the cauldron is (the contents of the cauldron changes color and it starts to emit light of that color) and cast the appropriate spell into it. Remember though that you need to cast it into the cauldron and not just hit the base. This makes thunder simple because positioning doesn't matter in the small room. For fire and blizzard you need to be above the cauldron. I personally found fire to have the highest success rate due to the spell supporting rapid-fire. Blizzard isn't as quick but has a spread effect that might be helpful. And thunder is the slowest but is effectively a garunteed hit.

Once the cauldron backfires she will be stunned an vulnerable, so just swing away. Flotsam and Jetsam can be a source of MP if needed.
