how do i change this text color on vista?

i used to know how to change folder text colors on xp, but i am on vista now... and i forgot altogether
and for those who are confused, i mean i wand this text blue...

 

Vista should be similar to XP. Go to your Start, then Control Panel and then Display. It's in there.

 

there is no display in the control panel...
i checked all of these options as well but with no luck...

 

Aright, I did a little research on this, since I own Visa myself...and it turns out that you CAN'T change the desktop icon font color, unless you switch to the Windows Classic color scheme. A good alternative might be to use drop shadow for icon labels on the desktop. Go to the Visual Effects Performance Options, and check Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop. This should help make them easier to see.

Also, there are apparently separate programs available to help with such things, i.e D-Color XP 1.2 . It was made for XP, but it works fine on Vista too. Unless you want more programs in your computer, I think the drop shadow is the best option, or perhaps going by dark wallpapers that will allow you to see the icon fonts better.

 

ok. well i'm not willing to give up the visual style i had just for the folder font, and i can see it fine, i just got tired of that being the only thing on my desktop that was white...
i found that program as well, but it didnt work for me.

Good luck. You may want to also see on checking out vista themes. Maybe somewhere has some themes or desktop icons you can put in the folder of the theme you have now. Hopefully things work out for you.
