I'm currently watching a bunch of Futurama episodes all about glorifying America/Earth.

 

Have you ever lived in America? You see the nationalistic bullshit of some people and think that it's what all of the US is like. If you actually lived here, you would see that national pride isn't even prominent, let alone nationalism.

 

It's always the dumbest people of a country that speak the loudest and those are the ones we hear.

That's so true. Everyone who says "OH! Everyone in America runs around waving flags and screaming 'murica" obviously doesn't live in the States. I didn't get what the big deal was with the whole Queen's Jubilee thing but I didn't go around dissing it. Apparently it's only okay to diss America but whatever that's how it is when you live in the land of freedom/sit at the cool kids table.

 

Still looks both ridiculous and hilarious from the outside though. Which was all I was saying. Still, I like America, but not as much as I like making fun of the american stereotype.

I hate it when my History teacher praises the US and says it's the best..... I mean it's cool that she's positive about the country but damn.
