Were you sniffing at the bowl, nosing it, shoving it? 'Cause I thought it was empty. Lord, I thought it empty. I had been scared stiff that you would be without food or water, I had hoped that perhaps you caught you some squirrel. I left the backdoor open, well you know. For once I praise your ability to sneak out undetectably, if it means you caught you some stray squirrel... Oh god, forgive me. Oh god.
