God, life just flies right past you...

Today, I saw my old middle school, where I went...I think 4 years ago. And God, has it changed. In the worst possible ways. It's like it's been abandoned. It's fallen into complete disrepair. There's weeds growing everywhere, even up through the sand. Cracks and holes in the blacktop, paint fading away, spiderwebs all over the place. It was definitely not like that when I went there. It's depressing. Hell, it's downright creepy.

And yet that's where I had all my best friends, so many good times, my first kiss...

I feel sorry for the kids who go there now...assuming it hasn't been abandoned.

 

This faintly reminds me of earlier today. I graduated high school in June, and I past by it with a friend. All of the grass was dead. Like. Completely. It's never been like that. It weirded me out. Not to mention, seeing the place in general had me feeling pretty damn nostalgic, and it just ended.

I can't imagine visiting my middle or elementary school, though maybe I should. It's kind of sad. ​

 

You were obviously the light that kept the grass alive and green.

I've visited all of my schools at later times and... they all seem to have gotten better after I left lol, then again, they were testing out new stuff while I went to them. Like that one idiotic idea they had about having a school building with six different classes and no walls, holy crap it was always so loud.
