So I went in and played CoM, and I reached level 50, but after that when I leveled up, the game completely crashed. What's going on?

Does it crash anywhere or in a certain area?

No, just when I hit level 50, wether during the Marluxia fight or just grinding.

So you're in Castle Oblivion, correct?

    That would be correct.

I'm betting that it's a coincidence, then, that it happened when you hit level 50.

Your disc is probably scratched in the area that contains the data for Castle Oblivion. Try another world and see if it still freezes; if that doesn't work, check your disc for any scratches; if there aren't any, give it a good clean; if that doesn't work, you'll need a new disc.

I'm actually playing on a emulator, and it's the gameboy version.
    Can't find a good playstation 2 emulator/Roms

Therein lies your problem, then. Not all emulated games are reliable.

Also, talking about emulations is against the rules, I believe, so I'm afraid we can't provide you with assistance here.

    Are you using any cheats?

If I recall correctly it's okay to talk about them but no links to anything.

    No, no cheats.
I only use it because I gave away my copy to a friend a couple of years ago.

Discussing emulators is fine as long as you're not linking to ROMs.

Is there any kind of way (cheats or codes or whatever) to just automatically advance to level 51? That may be worth trying. You could also try a different ROM. I dunno, I've never had problems playing COM on VisualBoyAdvanced (try a different emulator maybe?), but I never made it anywhere near level 50.

That's the emulator I used, VBA, and I could look at it, but I'm not sure if there's levels past 50 and my game's just screwing up cus it has no memory for 51.

You could always try another emulator and see if the problem occurs then.
