So there's this kid on fox news who says Sony won't fix his dusty PS3 come to find out he's a paid actor. http://www.n4g.com/ps3/NewsCom-86637.aspx#C612444
Wow, you can even IMDB the kid's name and it comes up. Also, I have to ask WHO lets their machine get THAT much dust on it? I mean, really...that much dust would take YEARS to happen without purposeful intent. I've seen less dust in old houses that were for sale for 5 years or so. Fox really should be sued for that or make a public apology to Sony for that blunder and vicious lie. NO gaming system has EVER collected that much dust and the guy says he owned it for almost a year now. This is exactly one of the top reasons that Fox News is unreliable as a news source. They certainly went out of their way to back this claim and I'd think it was folly and skewed regardless of the console used. I really hope they have to do something in regards to this as an apology because that's just ridiculous and it's slander, as well as corrupt media coverage. Even if people hate the PS3, this was very uncalled for.
If this story is somewhat true then Sony have all the rights to say no to a free new PS3 for that problem. It is sheer neglect of care, look at the pictures it looks like it's been used as toilet paper, yes things gather dust but not to that extent so quickly. >_>
Yeah, that thing looks like it went through hell and is only 10 or 11 months old when he sent it in. It's like a -dust- magnet if it were at all true. I can see why they said the technicians couldn't clean that and it could be hazardous. I wouldn't want to do it either. Of course it's not going to work in that state. I really do want to see what Fox and Sony are going to do about this. I hope Fox loses some money or at least has to air some sort of apology.
^lol. To be extremely honest, my electronics could pretty much put that PS3 to shame, and yet they run fine. Yeah, same. It's not proper to pull this sort of ridiculous stunt.
In a business sense it makes sense not to refund a console and replace it with a brand new one all because of neglect. =/
It's really no different than buying a PS3, leaving it in the street to get hit by a car and then asking Sony for a new one. Such refunds or discounts of any kind result from when the product is faulty or the manufacturer was at fault some how.
>_>; I don't see why everyone is getting worked up about this. This is a very, VERY good thing for Sony. Do you realize how much ****in' positive publicity from this now that it's been revealed it's all been staged?
