I didn't really think this was a help with life thing. Anyways, I've always had this trouble since I was a kid. I really don't know what to do about this. It happens out of nowhere and I'm in college. This is really bad. Anyone have any ideas of what I should do about this? Caffeine doesn't work, don't want to take medication and my mints just aren't working for me anymore. Note: It does not have to do with me sleeping at night.
You could try those 5-hour energy drinks. You said caffeine doesn't help, but I have seen those things keep people awake no matter how tired they were. And it might just be from boredom. When I did classes like Literature and Government I went in awake and all, but after class I just wanted to go home and sleep for the rest of the day. Boredom can do a lot to you
Okay, so you don't want to take medication. Check for conditions, try energy drinks, energy shots, whatever. But if it's really causing a problem (or you do have a condition) you might have to take medication to do what you need. By the by, Bing energy drinks are the shit.
I don't like energy drinks and they're bad for you. And that would make sense if I didn't do it in classes I like. I notice sometimes but I can't stop it from happening. Oh my well I don't believe it's that bad. Though I do have a few symptoms like I'll fall asleep on the floor or something. But that's the worse of it.
get an ipod or iphone, put in your pocket, put the earbuds in your ears, set alarms for every 5 minutes, but in the meanwhile, while you dont see a doctor, try energy drinks, theyre not that bad, after the first few shots, they have no alcohol, and arent even that bad for you.
I will not resort to energy drinks. They taste horrid and are indeed bad for you if you were to look at the facts. If I'm going to drink anything for energy, it'll be a smootie of some sort. From fruits or vegetables. I don't really believe it's that much of a problem to be seeing a doctor but I believe it won't hurt.
CHOCOLATE! Or any snack to be honest. I don't know if this will work for you but usually when I'm feeling sleepy during class, it's because my blood sugar is low. So I step out(most professors don't mind or at least mine don't), go to the cafe that we have on campus and buy myself a chocolate bar to get it back up again. I usually sit back and relax a little bit before going back to class and after I go back, I usually feel more alert. You should've stayed home. If you were that tired then going to school is just a waste of energy.
Well I already do that where I step out of class. It wakes me up a bit but sometimes it isn't enough. ; ; I would buy a snack but I don't have money. I'm broke and want to save what money I have.
I'm not ruining my perfect attendance record, after getting perfect attendance sophomore and junior years, over a silly illness.
I got sick those years, but still went. I'm staying home today, though my mom had to talk me into it. I really hope excused absences don't count towards attendance, otherwise, my record for senior year is screwed.
Loving how this thread turnd into Amaury and his attendance haha Luckily I didn't put this in Help With Life
