Interesting tutorial, liking the outcome, but something of the smudging bugs me, anyways, good explained tutorial, and adding the resources was good also, I suppose I could give it a try =), but just don´t except an outcome of me ;o.

To my own surprise, I'm ACTUALLY THINKING of getting off my lazy ass and trying to DO something in gimp. hitting.buttonz.in.gmpz.iz.fun.4eva If I can figure out how to do ANYTHING I'll try this. I'm probably not going to start actually trying to work and become good at gimp until the summer when I've got more time, but I've already got a bunch of tutorials and stuff bookmarked and this was just added. How are you so damn good at gimp? Great tutorial.
xD Thanks. Well, I read A LOT of tutorials, sometimes not doing them, just taking random steps and hints and applying them to my own sigs. I also lurk some gfx forums and pick out the sigs I like and try to imitate those styles. Plus I've been doing this since December '06.
´Kayz. I tried to do it, but it seems I choosed a bad stock =/. I royally rushed in in this one, so probably I will re-do it later ;D. Also, it looks better as a B&W.
I don't have gimp, which is a real shame since I love your tutorial! And your outcome. I love it, and I'll try your colour schemes and new adjustment layers. ^^ Great Job, and it definitly did help me when it comes to changin the tone.
Okay, so when you run the Drop Shadow filter on the Yellow Smudging layer, two new layers will appear below the yellow smudging. Go into the layers dialouge, right click on the yellow smudging layer and hit "Alpha to Selection". Make the drop shadow layer active and hit "Delete" or "Ctrl+K". Do the same on the other drop shadow layer. Btw guys, I've moved to Photoshop so this might be the last Gimp you see from me. But probably not, since I can't do shat with Photoshop and I might need to do SOME graphics while I get adjusted to CS2. It's a huge jump.
