Help Email Issues

At first I thought it might have been our e-mail server having temporary issues again like last time, but I'm getting e-mails from XenForo Community, SEGA Forum, etc. just fine. However, I am not getting any e-mails from KH-Vids.

The last KH-Vids e-mail I got was Monday at 3:24 PM (PDT) for a reply made to the Most Overrated thread.

 

@Misty: Is there possibly something in the server error logs related to e-mails?

 

I'm still not receiving any e-mails from KH-Vids.

Any feedback on this? :)

 

Actually, this is happening to me too. Haven't been getting any emails. Anyone know why??

 

Yeah I just got a chance to test and it doesn't seem to be working. I'll take a look at error logs & email Jon hopefully tonight.

 

Made some changes & tested it with a watched forum -- let me know if it is working for you all again (@Mako and @Amethyst). Just make sure to check your spam folders.

 

Did not get anything for this or your reply to my Title Capitalization thread, and there is nothing in my spam folder.

@Amethyst your problem is unrelated to Amaury's. Unfortunately it appears that Hotmail blocks all emails sent from KH-Vids. I've applied to be removed from their block list, but in the meantime, you can just change to a different email provider. I've issued a notice on the site to warn all users that use a hotmail address.

@Mako I've found some error info related to you not receiving the emails and forwarded it along to Josh. Will post again when I get an update from him (should be within 24 hours).

 

I've used my Hotmail address for 6 years with no issues. Is there a reason it's suddenly blocking it?

Nope, I have no idea why Hotmail would suddenly decide to put a block on our IP address. I've applied to have it removed and been told it would be within 24 - 48 hours.

No way of knowing.

 

@Mako keep an eye on your emails over the next day or two, let me know if/when they start working again.

For hotmail users, same warning applies -- you should consider changing your email -- but we will hopefully be un-blacklisted.

Awesome, that means hotmail lifted the ban. Thanks for reporting back.

 

That just leaves me. Hopefully they start working in the next day or two (it must take time for them to start up again or something is my guess). :D

Did this affect a large number of people? I know in your first post here you said it wasn't working for you, either.

 

Your issues seem limited to your email provider and since it's an uncommon one, they seem to be only affecting you. As far as I'm aware, all other emails are working properly.

 

Ah, I see. Maybe Charter made a change or something, but like you said, no real way of knowing.
