The figure is a good choice!

The background is very bland, but it does work, as well as the text. It fits, but the bottom is a bit hard to read.

My suggestion would be if you want to improve this piece, experiment with the background and the text. Give it more flare and don't be afraid to use variations of complimenting colors!

It was a good turn out nonetheless. is this your first sig?

This is pretty nice. I think that it's a bit plain, but it works with what you were doing.
You have a nice figure of Ed, and with the text, it makes it seem nice.
The red background works great with Ed, and it seems to compliment the figure

I think it's very good, if not a bit plain. As people have said, the stance is good and the colours fit, but I think you should experiment with ways of blending the stock into the background a bit more so it doesn't look like it's just sticking out. I think you should use less writing though and it should be bigger as the quality sort of renders the writing unreadable at times. The fonts go well and the name is very clear- well done.

You could blur the bits of Edward that are far away a bit so to give the tag depth- make his hand stand out by burring maybe his other arm and torso. Overall, this is very good, just a few improvements that I think would make this even better. Keep it up ^^

    It is nice.
    I will say that.
But I think I shall join the bandwagon here, and agree with the fact that it is a bit plain.
The picture is nice, colours are good, text is grand...
But the whole thing just lacks something.
Not that its bad,or not nice to look at...
    Quite the opposite in fact.
I just do think it could be better.
    But still.
    Pretty good work my dear.

I'm gonna be blunt and say that the render doesn't go with the background whatsoever. I like the quote and the render, but the render together with the background doesn't really work. Try to change the background color to something more similar, that way it'll go together better.

The first thing that you need to learn is that you should never, ever save as a .JPG. Ever. It compresses the file and creates a static like distortion that makes your picture look ugly no matter what kind of work you do. Save as .PNG in the future, and I might be able to judge your work for what went into rather than what I am seeing.

Other than that, I agree with Noroz; you took a gradient, put a render on it, added some some text, and you were done. Not as unprofessional and clashing as you can get, but close. You need something else, something that makes the render flow into the image.

    ^This.
Have you tried using stock images, brushes, and similar things?
Also, do you use Photoshop? If so, I know a couple of tricks with it that is easy (or hard, depending on what you want) and that looks good.

the quality is not very good and the background is kinda empty, but besides that you did a nice job.
