    7.8 magnitude ... that's high.

for me.. I'm just glad my dad is okay. Though he wasn't in Sichuan, he felt it in chongqing and nothing fell there. which is good. I'm sad for all the school kids that are buried in their schools and are trying to get out. It's just so sad.

Edit: Crap... this was supposed to be in Current Events... Staffah ^^ please move this.

The main thing I'm worried about is that if anyone here is in that part of China, then he or she could've been injured or worse.......

It is depressing, but can't stop nature from doing her thing.
This only reminds me of the Tsunami devastation.

But honestly, a part of me cannot help but feel that it's a good thing that people have died... at least a LITTLE of the population will go down. <_<
Does this make me a bad person? =/ *shrugs*

It has to be over 9000 now. On a serious note though, yeah, this was a major earthquake. I haven't heard of one this strong in some time. I hope no one on the site is affected by it and that China can recover alright from the devastation. When mother nature strikes, it shows us that we are not on top of the world as some people feel.

Last i heard the death toll was closer to 12,000. Can't help but feel sorry for the folk trapped in the buildin's still. Rescuers won't reach most of 'em on time. What a horrible way to die.

Makes me glad i live in a place like the UK that doesn't suffer from such disasters.

    That is really sad.

It sucks that a place with a population as big as China's would suffer from these kinds of natural disasters.
And that all those people are trapped in buildings.
