In the background of this picture theres the symbols, key, heart, crown ect. but theres another one that doesn't look familiar. Its kinda small so that might be why but is this the dream eater symbol?

Yeah, the symbol is for dream eaters, and there's two variations

Here we have the Ally Dream Eater

Here we have the enemy Dream Eater

See how the ally dream eater has a cleaner and rouded symbol. While the enemy has a more pronged one? Well, that's the new symbol.

Correction. The first is called a ''Nightmare Dream eater''. The second one is a ''Dream Eater''
One eats dreams and the other one eats the nightmare dream eaters.

I knew the day would come, should have let Pooh have that last smackerel.

The logos look pretty sleek, but I don't know if I like the direction their going with monsters..gaint cat things to ride around on? Winnie on something oh to sweet? Just not feeling it..

    Pokémon says Hi.
But yeah, I pretty much think the same thing.

I'll be too busy using super-flashy moves and riding over poles to even look at those cute-partners thingies...
And using world characters as much as I can.

Actually, I used the term ally and enemy due to lack of specifics. But, I think it's not like that. Here's the possibly correct info:

I don't think the KH Wiki is wrong, since the sources are pretty legit. Unless it's changed for the translation. Thank you, anyhow.

Here's a bigger logo for both Spirits and Nightmares.

Yes, that was what I tried to imply. Thank you.
Be aware the terms can change with the final version, or the Localized one. (See the unbirth thing of BBS, which they were actually going to be called that, but then scrapped it and went for Unversed.)

    I shall stand corrected.

Seriously, in the trailer, you can pet the Dream Eaters and have them fly around in your pictures.

    Unversed's one?

The Nightmare symbol has more of a "bat-like" feel to it, hence, a more menacing look. Bats are oft' the archetypical figure of horror and night in general.

However, my assumption is the Spirit symbol is a more subtle variation of it. I suppose it could be logical that Nomura created the Nightmare symbol first, then made the Spirit symbol.

I'm beginning to sense a connection between these two symbols.
DDD is supposed to link to re:coded, 358/2 Days and Birth By Sleep. Maybe this is one of the connections to BBS? Maybe the Enemy Dream Eaters are manifestations of darkness or nightmares. Or it's just Vanitas spooking us.

Not really valid, my assumption is that Vanitas has nothing to do with it. If anything, it would be more of an effect to a long period of slumber, not the manifestation of negativity. As for the Dream Eater's origins, I am uncertain of that. However there are two types, ones that cause nightmares, and ones that relinquish them, so I'm sure there is a deeper meaning as an whole on these species.

The Vanitas part was a joke XD

But your theory is valid...I suppose we should wait until more info comes out.

Although this sounds farfetched and a little bit stupid, but maybe the Dream Eaters were created by Yen-Sid to help train Sora and Riku in their Test?

    I guess not.
