SotW Discussion [dis] SotW #52 - Soldiers Throughout Time

Well... seeing last week's... amazing turnout, I figured it was time to go back to a more straightforward theme. :v Simple enough: use any stock that involves a soldier or any kind of warrior from prehistory to the distant future. Entries are due by Sunday, January 17, 2010.

At one point I had some intricate line thing going on (oh yes I am extremely skilled with the rectangular marquee tool) but I kept going back to this. :/

 

I'll try to get something out this week and omg why is this place so dead. ;~;
Also, I haven't made anything in a long long long time so it will most likely suck. heh

@Misty: I'm liking the simplicity of it but like Renegade said it just looks too empty for me. But I don't know what to suggest though, sorry. :c

...That was my entry until my laptop got blue screen of death'd five times in like ten minutes.

So I ended up with this. Still a WIP, suggestions?

 

You've got some sexy flow going on, just run some Topaz or something on there and adjust some colors, maybe add some text and we're in business. ;o

Yeah, I was trying to figure out how I could blend it without screwing up everything else. Plus my battery was dying and I didn't want a repeat of the original. xD

 

EDIT: Nevermind, I found some images I've been looking for and could finally do what I originally intended.
Also, this is my first shot at using the liquify filter xD
