Kingdom Hearts Did you ever Beat Riku at Destiny Islands?

because I'm watching my friend get his ass whooped by Riku and I could never beat him myself, so i wondered if other people had trouble too.

I could never beat him. I also couldn't beat a 3 on 1 battle either...

 

I can beat him if I have enough patience. Usually I just hack and slash, but then I end up losing. But yeah, it happens occasionally.

 

I beat him all the time. xD Once you fight him a few times, his moves are very predictable. And it probably helps that I leveled myself up to about level 20 on Destiny Islands. xP

 

It'a a little tricky, but I got it a few times.

Yeah, it's not two bad if you just figure out his strategy. And once you level up a bit fighting the others he's a cinch. At level twenty he takes like 10 hits to kill.

 

I unfortunately never beat him in a race. Kind of sad because we we're bored and called it a name that I think will be censored on the site, but everytime I tried to beat him, it was called Highwind.

 

I couldnt beat him on my first playthrough. All I did was hack and slash. Second playthrew I observed his movements and beat him easily

 

Well actually i used to level up my Sora to lvl 99 fighting riku over and over again before i left Destiny Islands :P

 

doesn't that take oh i don't know, a lifetime?

 

That's a bit... odd.

 

i knw but well i was a kid back then i and i loved playing KH1 since KH2 and others weren't out back in those days soo ^^" and besides i ended the game alot of times so then i started leveling up in destiny islands rather then going to traverse town and etc. to level up :P

 

I beat him, his moves are pretty predictable after you lose a few times. And i used to do that too, i leveled up to about 30 before taking off on my first playthrough.


I was 8, I had all the time in the world. B|

He tends to give me trouble at first but once I farm with Tidus up to level 3-5 (depending on my mood that play-through) then he becomes easy enough. Though once I've beaten him a few times I go back to Tidus. It's hard to pass up getting two tech points just for deflecting an attack that early in the game.

 

No I don't think that I did. I think I tried a few times and was really keen and tried to fight him whenever I saw the chance, but always lost. I'm mm a bit too reckless me thinks.

 

I wanted to beat everyone but the fact that you lose for falling off the edge gave me a bit of trouble back in the beginning. Eventually though I did beat him.

 

Before he used to absolutely destroy me but I managed to start beating him by my second playthrough. I always wait when he starts taunting me (jumping on that branch) to start wailing on him.

Also potions are good.

 

i climbed on the trees to avoid him :lolface:
then eventually died after I started fighting again
