One or two episodes each. Here's my thoughts, for the two or three of you awake at this hour who are bored enough to care.

Darker than Black: Yeah... This was a major let-down, especially for all the praise that's been heaped on it. The plot is pretty damn boring, and I had to watch two episodes to get to anything interesting, so the first one was pretty much useless. Matter of fact, most of the second episode was boring and useless too, except for the last part. If someone can convince me the content improves I might pick it up, but right now it's a lackluster Witch Hunter Robin clone.

Ergo Proxy: Fucking amazing. Is anyone surprised? I thought not. Unlike the above example, this one understands how to make stuff happen and still keep a steady, atmospheric pace. Characters are three-dimensional, setting is compelling, aesthetic is consistent and engrossing. It took me too damn long to get around to this, but I won't keep making that mistake.

Xam'd: Lost Memories: Goddamn, this one's got style. Looks like Eureka Seven with Da Vinci-punk flying machines, and there's no part of that I don't like the sound of. Plus the Mutant Alien Plot Bomb at the end made things even more interesting. Yeah, I think I'll follow up on this one.

Lovely Complex: First read this in a Shoujo Beat in the back of the library when I did volunteer work there. I can't say this isn't my thing, but I don't usually go for it; the characters are always so stiff. These ones actually act like human beings. And besides that, the anime is bloody hilarious. Totally on my to-do list. (Thanks for reminding me of it, Tootsie <3)

Pandora Hearts: Well... Huh. Not bad. I was kind of iffy at first, but I was egged on by the subtle hints it was dropping that shit was about to get fucked; and fucked it got. I like a series that delivers. And here I haven't even gotten to the part that is supposed to set the mood of the whole thing. I've been told the manga is better (So what's new), but I think I'll start with this.

I might watch more soon. But before that, fourthmeal time. <3
