Death Note Saved My Arse

Funny little thing happened last Firday. I had my English mid-term exam, and for this exam we had to write a personal response on a short story called "The Possibility Of Evil".

In this story, an old lady that everybody loves and respects is running her usual rounds, but when she gets home, she starts writing these letters that talk all kinds of trash at the receivers, then sends them. She does this because she thinks she's the only one who can make a crime-free world. Sound familiar?

So, I get to the point where I have to write a media connection, and guess what I used? ;D

I laugh at the ****** that said TV and video games can't help you academically.

 

Haha, I had to do something simillar.

You know how in the 2nd episode, Light is explaining to Ryuk about how if there was a class discussion about whether bad people deserved to die or not, everyone would say the same thing?

Yeah. We actually had to write an essay on that. And because half the class are DN-freaks, our reports were riddled with DN quotes.

And we all got A's =]

That's funny! I've actually used 'FF VII Advent Children' as a referanse in an essay and my teacher LOVED it and my friends just glarred at me and were like 'You wrote about a video game...' Yepz!! *sweat-drop*

 

I had to read that same story earlier this year xD

And also, I had to write a detective story for school, so I wrote about L! xD
I got an A+ and my teacher said it was very origional especialy since I had Light kill him in the end. xD

 

same thing with death note. we were reading a play called Antigone (an-tig-oh-nee). it's about how a man created his own justice and he went against the gods.
the teacher asked us if we have any connection. i talked about death note.

 

Well the idea of a notebook of death has been around for a very long time and so has the concept of a "gray" view of the world so it's noth THAT shocking.
