I go and see the ones my school puts on because a lot of my friends are in them, but I don't participate in the actual execution of them. I tried the whole stage crew thing once but severely injured myself removing a nail the first day and didn't go back.
What shows have you done? O: And xD Try focusing lights; it involves a fifteen foot ladder, wire cutters, and an extremely hot lamp. 8D
Last year the big one was Beauty & the Beast, and then this year there was Steel Magnolias. I don't know what the big one is going to be later in the year, I think Oklahoma? Oh god, I could never.
Oh nice. I've wanted to do a Disney show at school but we're limited to Shakespeare (for the fall) and a musical; they tend to be...dark. xD Pfft I haven't even told you about the circular saw. IT MOST CERTAINLY DOES. :'D
I saw three while I was in New York and I loved them all to pieces, so I guess I can't say I dislike them. They tend to be better performed than their movie versions, and it certainly doesn't hurt that there's almost no chance of recycled actors, which is my bane. I'm no buff, but I guess I like them quite a bit. Fyi, I saw Young Frankenstein, Avenue Q, and Spamalot. Avenue Q was my pick, so naturally it was my favorite, but Young Frankenstein was pretty clever. The Spamalot looked like it was put on by a bunch of drunk college kids, but I still had a good time. I just about lost it during the Frenchman's scene.
I like the musicals that kids at my high school do. ...You could say I'm into high school musicals...
