It's a Greek dessert [but I got the baklava I'm currently eating at a Lebanese restaurant], made of flaky bread, pistachio, other nuts I guess, and lots of sugar.

Super sweet, especially at the bottom where all the liquid drains.. But so addictive.

CSI Girl: Pistachio is the best kind ;o

 

Mmmm that does sound good. I'll have to find the recipe to make some of my own.

I must admit, it isn't the prettiest food. See my earlier post for a description. Or just Google it.

It was drool worthy up until you mentioned it had pistachio in it >_<;

 

I'm quite fond of that phrase, 'drool worthy'. Anyway, you can't really taste the pistachios in it because they become very bland after being cooke. They're just kind of there. Like paprika on twice-baked potatoes. It seems like other kinds taste peanut buttery, which isn't very good in baklava. D:

 

Do they sell that in Australia?

It's not honey. It's just really saturated sugar.

They sell it in some bakeries- if there's a middle east or Greek restaurant by you they may have it on the dessert menu.
