A new trailer was posted on Bandai Namco's youtube and their website.

Besides the information listed in the trailer and on the website, not much else is known. More will be revealed on April 20, 2017.

Even though they said they're done with the SoulsBorne series, I have a strong suspicion it's related to it. I mean, cmon. #PreparetoDine? They're begging people to connect this in the SoulsBorne universe.

So it seems that games recently have made the transition to the lootbox system. For those who may not know, this system is where players earn/buy boxes in game that can earn them some in-game items whether it may be weapons, items, skins, and such. Mostly focused for games in the multiplayer genre.

In the current state where video games are becoming more expensive to produce, one can see this as another way of obtaining revenue. As stated, the boxes can be earned without pay albeit requiring leveling up or earning it some other way while it can easily be bought with real currency. Though even so, these boxes are all randomized on what items you get.

At the moment, I'm somewhat not all keen of this system. Since this was introduced (I don't remember when it started or was popularized. Perhaps the Battlefield 4 battlepacks?), I found the process of this more fitting in a Free-to-Play game. More time means more earning of boxes, but for those without much time, they can only get so much. As stated, it's the reason why F2P games can optimize this system. Cut down much of the time with money.

It's clear that a "completed game" is no longer worth $60 value since the rise of DLCs. I can see a bit of a reasoning of having this system with no DLCs (ex. Overwatch), but games with both DLCs and Lootboxes is slightly pushing it in my opinion (ex. Uncharted 4, Battlefield 1).

I just want to see the general opinion on how they feel about the Lootbox system. It's slightly irritating to get what you want by pure chance (I'm looking at you Overwatch even though I love you) especially when you cannot buy it directly with real currency.

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the Electronic music world, but I am a fanatic with that music genre. I love so many artists and music within this genre. One particular artist I wanna mention is Porter Robinson. Just recently (by recently, I mean today), he collaborated with Crunchyroll and A-1 Pictures to create a short MV on his song, "Shelter." And this isn't some cheap quality animation. A-1 does put out some good animations.

Surprising to say, this is actually trending quite high on Youtube. I would not expect electronic artists to be trending over the more popular music genres/artists. Not to mention the little story on the MV is quite a sad one to say as well (now I'm concerned whether this should go into the Anime section instead haha~).

But I digress. Please give it a watch and hope you enjoy it

(Before I start, I would like to mention that the documentary I'm talking about is called The Dropbox. I think it's a fantastic piece that tells not only about the issues of babies left on the streets, but of human values as well. Though I would warn if you are interested in watching, it encircles the theme of Christianity in it. So yea if you hate that kind of theme on any sort of scale, please avoid.)

Not too long ago, I watched a documentary about this one man in South Korea that created a system that let him take in rejected babies. In that country, many mothers abandon their babies whether it's because of unforseen pregnancy, disformations/mental issues, lack of money, or something else. In any case, this man made the news on how he was alert every day and night to take in the abandoned babies whenever they arrived. His influence even made other nations adopt his system to also take in rejected babies.

Of course this is something everyone can agree on. Saving children off the streets from the many dangers is something not to be scoffed at. It takes effort and willpower to take in and watch over a child that was abandoned. It's an action that deserves praise and thanks. However, as upholding as this action is, many also see this as a system people can abuse. Ignorant couples can simply drop off their babies without a second thought or glance, knowing they don't have to hold that guilt of letting their child die on the streets. Instead, they know that it'll be in good hands and they don't have to worry about it. This caused many debates whether this system actually helps the community of reducing the number of abandoned children or just simply lowering the value on children and the responsibilities the parents carry for them.

Let's not even go to a drastic action such as that. How about back home? Simply giving the homeless money is also an action of good faith, but also something that can be taken advantage of. On the news, there have been cases of people giving money to the "homeless" people on the streets when in fact, they're just people looking for easy cash and seen driving in a car some hours later with the victims angry at the fact they been cheated on.

Certainly, a solution wouldn't be to halt all actions and let those that are unfortunate to suffer. It's just what society grows naturally. There's always gonna be people that'll look around for ways to find loopholes or try to use others to relieve some of their issues or problems. I'm not gonna lie. It's normally a 50/50 for me whenever I see a homeless man on the corner of streets. Either I hands them some cash to help them out, or close up my windows, thinking to myself how they'll just spend it on drugs or alcohol. It just brings those in need of help down even further on the hierarchy scale.

How should we feel when we pass by someone that needs help? Regret? Relief? Or maybe simply nothing? I'm interested in knowing what you guys think of this topic, where good things may sound good on paper, but in practice, it also comes with its share of problems.

Quadrille Main Plaza. What was normally a rather normal area were people walked back and worth to their workplace is now a crowded center of attraction full of musicians and people bustling about. As large as the place was, it was actually almost filled to the brim. After all, it did send invitations to every region. Every building all around the square was equipped with large screens that showed many different points around the square. The air was filled with the voices of people and many instruments playing for entertainment pleasure. At the edge of the plaza there was a large platform filled with music stands and some chairs, obviously meant for the main event towards the night.

The large clock tower just passed 6 PM while the sun was now a dim yellow just about to dip below the far off mountain ranges in Ventus. It would look like about an hour before the moon would rise with the stars and start the performance.

In the middle of the square, there was a small dance going on along with people on the side cheering and clapping along to the tune. The brown haired girl gave a small bow to the crowd as she hopped out and sat on one of the chairs on the side, laughing as she grabbed a drink on the table. "Hehe that was so much fun! You should go in and dance Kiane! Don't be a poopyhead and sit here all day!"

Kiane sighed and shot a hard look at the girl next to her with her rather cold blue eyes. "I was more worried about you, Sasha. Since you jumped into that damned group, I lost sight of you. You have any idea how many girls with brown hair were in there?" She scratched her head. "I mean besides the ones without the white streaks, but you know what I mean! You need to be more careful!

Sasha pouted at Kiane. "There you go again. Always talking about how much you worry. You know how much of a downer you are? You should relax and enjoy yourself! Mr. Hawkins spent so much time making this entire event for everyone! He even invited the people of Lament! You should go and socialize instead of sitting here and sulking!"

"Look Sasha, you know these guys don't care about this event right? It's for political popularity when the next voting season happens. Why, if you just look at the news every now and then, you should know his popularity vote is over 75-"

"Blah blah politics politics. You almost sound like you're meant for a job here Kia. Shoot you really need to get your head out of current things for a bit and enjoy! Ugh I don't wanna do this, but you force me to!" She grabbed Kiane's shoulders and pushed her to her feet.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!"

"Hehe looks like you need to pump out that nasty attitude of yours into some exercise."

"Don't you dare, Sasha. You better not-"

"Too late Kia! Enjoy!" With a happy shove, she sent Kiane into the dancing crowd.

"Ooh when I get out of here, you're gonna be in so much trouble Sash! You wait young lady!" The rest of the words she said were drowned out by the crowd, probably language more on the colorful side.

Sasha giggled and picked up her violin case. "Hehe sorry Kia. I could use some breathing space." She looked up at the sky and back at the square. "Right...now to find a good spot before it starts..." She started to make her way around the square.

    Symphony OOC

Scherzo, or also known as "The Land of Harmony." The place where people from all around the world come to enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness. With a crime rate below 2% and an absolute strict law on violence and weapons only allowed on enforcement officers, it's no secret to know why people look up to Scherzo as the model country. Even though the country had to endure many harsh decades, even centuries of dark events, it all come through and created the most harmonic place in the world. Only one law exists in the country: All conflicts and disagreements are to be resolved in a symphonic battle of instruments and talent.

Just like any other nation, it's not all peace and happiness. Some people disagree with the way the country runs. The musically untalented and/or disabled are not respected properly by the majority. There are even rumors of a cult that secretly sabotage the system of the country through deceits and false senses of security, making the country collapse inwards. With a dark history behind Scherzo, it was only a matter of time before the past started to catch up again and begin the cycle that should've stayed broken.

Scherzo is a large landmass separated into 5 major sections based on their origins as well as their landform. Each section also has schools dedicated to a specific type(s) of instrument. Moving from one region to another is very easy due to many types of transportation. Each region enforces their own laws through peacekeepers.

Oman look at dem mad art skillz~

Arco is not a large piece of land, but many pieces. Arco is a large chain of islands off the coast of Scherzo. It may look rather plain on top as only a few homes and crops grow on the tropical upside, but the majority of the region is beneath. Each island contains an elevator that leads into the massive sprawling underwater city of Arco. The region is famous for their impressive visual city itself as well as home to the largest shopping and entertainment centers out of all the other regions. Some islands also serve as prisons in case major crimes occur deemed too severe for regular sentences. Arco is home to the school of string instruments.

Origo is the region of "Origins and Beginnings." In history texts, Origio was the first region to be settled due to its fertile soil and perfect temperatures of growing. For that instance, Origio provides 95% of Scherzo's food supply. It is also home to the largest zoo, ranging from thousands of species from many different biomes. Mostly farmers and students live in Orgio with the occasional folks that are retired. A great place to relax one would say if they can manage all the farm equipment and animals everywhere. The region is home to the schools of percussion and piano.

High above the clouds and mountain ranges, a plateau breaks through the clouds and holds the city of Ventus. Due to having constant storms and the difficulty of reaching Ventus by foot, monorails and air travel have been installed for safer and easier access on and off of Ventus located in all regions. Many come to Ventus for its perfect view of the stars at the night as well as airshows with their large selection of planes and fireworks. Ventus holds many mines in the mountains where they send miners to dig up many minerals. Ventus is the home to wind insturments.

Lament is the most technologically advanced region out of all other regions which can be seen visually with their countless skyscrapers and factories that light up their region. If there's a hype or need for the latest tech or gear, Lament is the region to go. Many older folks dislike Lament for not being very "traditional" to the music lineup with their introduction to electronic music and instruments they mass produce. For that reason (and also many arguments between leaders), the instruments may be used in battles, but not in official recitals or competitions. The home to electronic instruments and programs although it has not been officially allowed in recitals and competitions.

The capitol and heart of Scherzo. All four other regions blend altogether to form the capitol of Scherzo. Only the best of the best earn a spot to live and thrive in the small, but powerful region as well as important people such as government officials and competition winners. Many major events are also held in Quadrille like music competitions, anniversaries, ad much more. Each instrument has their own school in Quadrille as well as being the only region to have a vocal school.

The best way to explain how the music battle works is the following Youtube video (without the vaporization part :P)

How these battles go will depend on what instrument you play as well as what song you play. "Softer" instruments don't have as much impact, but is much easier to control while "harder instruments have higher impact, but harder to control. It's up to you whether you want to list your instrument as hard or soft, but keep it reasonable (ex. flute is not really an impacting instrument. Vice versa to an electic guitar, it's not a calm instrument)

You also have the freedom to express how your instruments express their power whether it's a shockwave or beams of concentrated music notes, it's all up to your imagination. Just make sure it's a reasonable one (ex. Nothing that shoots fish or any of that weird stuff >>")

Besides just battles, instruments can also have other effects rather than just shooting pew pews at your opponents. Maybe a flute can lull some people to sleep. Or possibly a well timed drum crash can disorientate your foes. Be mindful that these abilities can only be used probably once or twice in battle as they require some time to charge. Be creative! These abilities can also be used outside of battle, but be careful. The public may not approve of some of the actions (this is not mandatory, but if you do use it, be reasonable).

Defensive abilities are also available through it may discourage many due to the fact that they have no ability to fend for themselves in solo battles. Fear not! You can turn the tides by making the battle a test of endurance! Attacks require more effort than those defending. Meaning if you are strong enough, you can wear out your opponents.

I would also like to encourage each of you to post a video or a link to a music piece when a battle commences. It's not mandatory as you can simply write it out, but having something to listen to is a great way to visualize the battle (as well as a chance for you to share your musical favorites. There is also a rule on this below).

    1. Keep content PG-13. That includes language, violence, romance, yadda yadda yadda
-This also includes music. If your music includes explicit content whether it's language or sexual themes, you are still allowed to post it, but make sure to mark it as so.

    2. Please no godmodding. No one likes a cheater :c

    3. Stay away from the one-liners unless you hit a block. It happens to all of us

    4. This WILL be a heavily character interactive RP so please try to post frequently (probably once every few days). I don't wanna nag you, but I will if I have to.

    5. This will be a big one. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT insult another person's music tastes. This is not a music discussion thread. The last thing I wanna do is break up a fight and kick them out over difference in opinions. You will not get a warning for this violation.

    6. Since there is no "specific" goal for this RP (yet), I will be making up random events as we go along. If you wish to contribute, please post it here or contact me.

    7. Your character does not know everything so he/she shouldn't know everything.

    8. Only up to 3 instruments can be learned per character. I will make exceptions if you come to me personally and give me a good enough reason

    9. Rule can be changed/added/deleted so make sure to check every often!

    10. Stay safe and don't do drugs
    Please have fun everyone!

(Her braids aren't that long. In fact, pretend she doesn't have any :E)
      Hometown: Arco
Personality (Plz no backstory on this*): Extremely carefree person, but also smart. Very kind and generous even if it puts her on a negative spot. In battle, if tempted, she will hit those solos HARD.
      Instruments: Violin and Piano
Instrument Powers (optional): Her violin and piano notes can materialize into physical forms, floating around her opponents and distracting them. Her piano notes are slightly larger than her violin notes.
Other: Deaf in her right ear which can be noticed if looked carefully. She always plays the music on her left side. Almost never plays the piano for unknown reasons.

      Name: Kiane Yawa
      Gender: Female
      Age: 19
      Appearance:
      Hometown: Lament
Personality (Plz no backstory on this*): Tough and very pushy, but caring to those she's close to. She has the "older sister" type to her. Always plays out battles with seriousness, even in friendly fights.
Instruments: Electric Guitar and Standard Modern Drums (drums only used in team battles)
Instrument Powers (optional): Her drums, when hit hard enough, can make the ground shake just enough to stagger people around her.
Other: Sticks around with Sasha most of the time though they tend to bicker a lot due to their polar opposite natures.

    • Name: Terry Novak
      Gender: Male
      Age: 23
      Appearance: Here
      Hometown: Origo
Personality: Calm and easygoing. The only time he'll step into a conflict is it's to help a friend. He's open to meeting new people but does his best to keep them at a distance.
Instruments: Classical and Extended Range Guitars
Other: Shoots fish beams out of his guitars. N/A
    • Name: Hannah Small
      Gender: Female
      Age: 21
      Appearance:[IMG] (She's about 5'1")
      Hometown: Arco
Personality (Plz no backstory on this*): Generally happy and optimistic, fiercely protective of others, hates to see others get hurt and will sometimes put herself in harms way (neglecting her own safety) to ensure she can protect her friends.
      Instruments: Violin/electric violin.
Instrument Powers (Optional): Violin can heal minor injuries.
Other: Her violin creates shields instead of normal offensive attacks. Owns another electric violin which is 'hard' and has offensive attacks, however she strongly dislikes using it.

    • Name: Damion Haal
      Gender: Male
      Age: 18
      Appearance: The guy
      Hometown: Arco
Personality (Plz no backstory on this*): Not as cheerful as he once was, still not the most social person you'd see, but he had no problems with talking to new people. While there are still some traces of this that appears every now and then, for the most part Damion is more of a distant person with a newfound blunt way of speaking. The exception to this is his younger sister in which when she's around he's not as abrasive.
      Instruments: Electric Guitar, Violin
Instrument Powers (Optional): Both his violin and guitar can produce shock waves that can push an opposing object/target back While the guitars shock waves are stronger, it had a shorter range compared to the violin.
      Other:

      Name: Alisa Haal
      Gender: Female
      Age: 16
      Appearance: The girl
      Hometown: Arco
Personality (Plz no backstory on this*): Compared to her brother's new found personality, Alisa is pretty much the opposite. Along with her usual cheerful smile that she proudly wears on her face, she can be a bit childish at times. Heck most of the time she can find some way to brighten up a situation. Though is just what she's like on the outside. On the inside, she's worried that people close to her will get hurt.
      Instruments: Electric Bass
Instrument Powers (Optional): Her bass can numb any pain so long as the targeted person can hear the music and last until she stops playing
      Other:

      Name: Rune
      Gender: Female
      Age: 17
      Appearance: Boop
      Hometown: Quadrille
Personality (Plz no backstory on this*): While Rune can come off as being shy and or timid, that's because of her lack of confidence. If she's around someone she knows then she'll be a bit more outgoing and social and if its someone that she likes, then said person better be prepare for some teasing from her.
      Instruments: Micophone
Instrument Powers (Optional): Her mic can momentarily stun people
      Other:
    • Name: Lexi Coda
      Gender: Female
      Age: 22
      Appearance: here
      Hometown: Ventus
Personality: lazy, laidback, and sarcastic. But perhaps a little too sarcastic. Isn't one too take charge and isn't very reliable if someone wants something done quickly.
      Instruments: Trombone, Vocal [Alto]
Instrument Powers: Her trombone, despite being usually used offensively, has the tendency to affect the overall mood, usually making people feel mellow. Even if someone loses a battle, they have a chance of leaving without a grudge.
      Other: She's terrible at sight-reading.

      Name: Vanessa Andante
      Gender: Female
      Age: 17
      Appearance: here
      Hometown: Origio
Personality: Very assertive but easily distracted. She's friendly, but not an open book like her brother. She likes to make humor out of situations and keep people on their toes.
Instruments: Percussion [Snare Drum, Base Drum, and her "bag of tricks"]
Instrument Powers: Her "bag of tricks" is a bunch of secondary percussion instruments, each with a different effect [ie. her cowbell can ease sickness for whatever reason]
Other: Is protective over their little brother despite his inability to play or sing.

      Name: Jason Andante
      Gender: Male
      Age: 16
      Appearance: here
      Hometown: Origio
Personality: Very loud, wants to be heard. He's very naive but is open to learning new things, even if he can't learn it. He's also a very open book and tends to be mostly smiles and giggles.
Other: He is tone deaf and he really can't keep a beat.
    • Name: Arietta "Ari" Crawford
      Gender: Female
      Age: 17
      Appearance:
      Hometown: Origo
Personality (Plz no backstory on this*): A pretty classic introvert; she's plenty outgoing with the people she knows and is comfortable with, more reserved with people she doesn't know as well, and needing solo time to recharge regardless. She makes an effort to be friendly, though. A little lazy when it comes to things that aren't music.
Instruments: Keytar, electronic keyboard (understandably, she uses the more accessible keytar more often for battles while the keyboard stays in her pack)
Instrument Powers (Optional): She can alter people's mental states or moods with her music, e.g. whipping them into a frenzy, confusing them, calming them, etc. The keytar also shoots lasers.
Other: There may come a day when I actually write the full story she comes from. But it is not this day.

OOC is up! Head there if you wish to discuss as I'm leaving this one in the dust!

    http://kh-vids.net/threads/symphony-ooc.149286/

I've been pondering a few months about making a RP revolving around music. More along the lines of fantasy rather than a simple slice-of-life RP. These are ideas I wanna incorporate in the RP
    • Every conflict in the game will be resolved in a music battle (borrowed the idea from No Game, No Life as the anime resolves issues with a game)
    • What type of instruments will also factor in battles (ex. The more powerful the instrument, the stronger it will be, but harder to handle and control)
    • Since music is the main theme, I want to include a hierarchy system in the game where people with disabilities are discriminated and looked down upon
Thanks to some insight, this will be changed. Instead of a hierarchy, the discrimination will be more on a micro level rather than a macro level to be more realistic(ex. one person picks on another due to ect. It was originally the government splitting the two groups apart, but that just sounded silly). Also to clear up the disability stuff, it will only apply to those with disabilities that seriously affect musical performance
Ugh why is this even an idea. It's gonna be naturally implanted. Terribly sorry guys =3=
    • Setting will be on a continent split into different sections relating to musical instrument proficiency (ex. One section of the place will be dedicated to string instruments) and each part will be unique
    • Will include some sort of history and backstory explaining the birth of the continent (of course it needs a dark history)
    • Besides the music battles (and possibly other events), it will be a heavily character interactive RP
So how will the music battle work? Well I think this video should explain (except people don't vaporize like in the video :P)

Thanks to some suggestions, a link to a music piece can make a music battle much livelier. It's not required to link a piece of music as you can simply explain what's going on, but I think it's a great way for the battle to be visualized much more (not to mention show off your tastes in music ^^)
I do need some advice on the following
    • A goal of some sort. I have a few ideas, but they don't seem to fit in well (My main idea was people entering a music competition, but it sounds rather cliche. I would prefer something more fresh. Hopefully we can think one out).
    • Some sort of outside force to disrupt the peace and how will that incorporate within the RP (terrorist group or something? Probably make it related to past events)
    • And yes, I do need a title for this RP as silly as it sounds. I'm not pulling anything good at the moment
NOTICE: It has come to my attention that a previous member made an RP very similar to the information in this post 2 years ago (thank you very much Alt). I would like to say I had NO KNOWLEDGE of this prior to making this post. In fact, I may use the RP that was created as a source (with credit of course)

    RP: http://kh-vids.net/threads/synchronize.137936/

If you have any other questions of suggestions, please shout it out!

The plane that went missing earlier this week is now found...with rather unfortunate news.

Being the third airline related disaster this year (actually 2 since one of them was not a natural accident) that relates to the Southeast Asian province, I can't imagine what these people must be feeling. These people must be scarred seeing on their TVs the third time a plane flew off only to be found where it shouldn't be.

This will only apply to the mobile Youtube app on phones. It's kinda frustrating wanting to watch a video on my phone. Right after the video ends, it goes onto the next video. At least on the computer, you can turn off autoplay. Is there any way to turn off the autoplay feature on the Youtube app without downloading another app for it?

The infamously popular first-person horror game, Five Nights at Freddy's, is apparently getting a sequel according to the pictures he has released both on his website and on Tumblr.

The game is going for a 2015 release according to the first picture

Personally, I see a decent enough reason to give this game a sequel. However, I think the majority won't really get it due to the lore of the game being rather obscure. I do see some hints of new game mechanics. It seems you're going to be "hiding" now, according to the 4th picture, as you're hiding in the Freddy costume.

    "Friends"

(I was gonna post this on the Help With Life section since it's affecting me rather deeply, but I prefer to make a separate section taking about this more deeply in the HWL Fourm while this is more of a general discussion about it.)

Wherever we go in life, there's always that person that sticks to us rather close, sometimes close enough to be a brother/sister. And other times, so fragile that they forget all about you just over the span of summer. So let me ask you people, what is your definition of a "friend?" Is it someone you just know temporarily and start over once you moved up in life? Or is it someone that you'll know deeply and will know them till the end of time? Or maybe it's something more than just that?

Sometimes, movies have that small scene at the end of the long list of cast whether it's there for the sole purpose of being there or maybe a hint of an upcoming sequel to that movie. Whatever the case, is it a good idea to put a scene there? Why not just add it to the ending? Many people don't tend to stick around the entire list of credits to see one small scene. Though there are the few~

    Anyways, yay or nay?

Taking one look at my profile, I don't think anyone would say I'm the kind of person who reminds them of a rock. Inexpressive and uncaring. It does make sense seeing this is an internet fourm page where we can't meet personally, but in reality, I'm a much different person.

Just by looking at the title of this, I'm sure it's enough to tell what kind of person I am. I'm an extremely emotionless and uncaring person at most times. I tend not to get overemotional and show great amounts of feelings 99% of the time. If I recall correctly, I haven't even shed a tear since 2006 when my grandfather died. The cause is unknown, but maybe it's how I was raised. Maybe I was told men don't cry and should stop it. Maybe I stopped caring about things in life and saw them at the bare minimum. Whatever it is, that's not the reason why I wrote this. It's about how I affect others around me, especially one special person.

I have a girlfriend in real life. She's an amazing person. We have many similarities (and differences as well) and are 2.5 years in a relationship. Many of you may be scratching your head. How can a person expressive as a rock get a girlfriend? Well when stuff like that happens to you, you get a "high" on love, beeing all swoony and stuff. I was all over the place that year. After about a year or so, it wears off and you start going back to normal.

This is where stuff started to happen. I started to care less about her. I gave very simple replies to her long messages she would send me over FB. I tried to avoid speaking to her at some points. We had many arguments and fights. Some got pretty bad.

It's not that I hate her. I really love her. The thing is that I started to realize that what she was to me was a disruption of my life. Side by side, she was the complete opposite of who I am. She's very cheerful, friendly, sociable, and loveable. I'm little of the above. Half of me wants to break out of my cold, empty shell I lived for the past long years and the other half wants me to come back and stay as my pitiful, emotionless self.

In most of these fights, it's my fault it even starts. My lack of care and response to her words hurts her, but it hurts me even more. Because she loves me so much, she'll forgive me even though she knows it's gonna happen again. The worst part is that the fights and arguments get worse and worse. It's gotten to the points where even the smallest of things gets us firing shots of each other. I'm afraid I'm gonna say something that I'll regret. She's not the most stable in terms of emotion. Just one lash at her can really collapse her lifestyle.

I really need to learn to be a better person for not just me, but for her, my family, and my friends. It's just so hard to do when I lived a life where nothing matters as long as the bare minimum is enough for me. I need to stop thinking like that. Any and all advice would be more than welcomed.

Alright you beat that game after a long struggle to defeat the final boss. You finally roll trough the final cutscenes. After the credits are done, you suddenly get the information that the game has multiple endings! Maybe you need to beat the game on New Game+. Or perhaps you needed to do something specific within the game before fighting the boss. Or maybe you beaten a game with heavy plot, but you missed out on some parts and want to play through the game again to see those missing snippits.

Mainly focused within the RPG genre and other genres heavily story based, RPGs and narrative games have different endings depending on what the player does within the game. Since RPGs tend to be linear and story based, it's hard to draw players back into the game once they finished it. So to put more time, they add different endings. Usually it gives you a really meh default ending, making you crave for that better ending and work for it.

As a player, it's a good thing. Me personally, I love alternate endings. Especially if the default ending is not satisfying. I toiled hard in RPGs. They remind me of trophies. You work hard to achieve through that game, then set is aside for a long time, maybe even never touching it again. It's kind of a bittersweet moment, knowing you won't be touching that game anytime soon. Maybe a DLC could bring some spark, but worth enough to play through again? Many would disagree. A few would gladly play it over and over again.

It seems it's all positives and stuff, but is it really? I don't believe so. In terms of scoring the game, many reviewers don't usually have the time to go through all the endings and so they have to base it off the default ending or maybe one alternate. I think this is where it goes downhill. I'm gonna take the example Drakenguard 3. It was heavily panned by many review websites due to poor framerate, dated graphics, and odd storyline. I don't disagree to a sense, but I think the score could've been higher if all the endings were located and if the reviewer had a better sense of the lore. A youtuber, Demolition D talked about the game and how and why it came out the way it did (Strong language and adult humor warning)

In a sense, it's easy to see why games like this get panned by the media and get rather low sales. Games should get you quality lengths of entertainment for $60 (or your regional equivalent). Majority of gamers do not spend $60 to play a game over and over again (though one could argue the same over CoD and sports games) and rather have fun over a story driven game. Like how Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain were rated somewhat low due to lack of gameplay and MANY MANY endings depending on what the player did throughout the game. They were not JRPGs, but still had that lack of gameplay and strong narrative.

It's not to blame the people who disagree. It's a fair argument to not buy a game because it doesn't meet your worth of money. But I think media outlets should spend more time with games that rely mostly on story and plot over gameplay. I can make a whole new argument just on the bias in game reviews. These hidden gems deserve much more in the eyes of reviewers and gamers altogether. These games suffer because the reviewers don't give them a fair grade and it loses much in sales and acclaim.

There are the games that stand high in accolades and praise that won many awards, sold millions, moved people, and are awesome in every aspect overall. Then there are those that die off the start, pitiful in content, and sole bare minimum. Today though, I wanna focus on the games that belong in neither category. The games that gave you that "Ehh it looks ok I guess" feeling at first, but it then grows to you. The games that sold pretty low despite the production value yet you still decided to give it a shot. The game that had very middle-of-the-road scores and you didn't care at all.

Because I know as a gamer, not every gamer have all their favorites in the top peak of awesome games. We grab those somewhat unknown games, pop them in, and instantly love them. And I wanna hear why they are so great to you.

So what makes a game mediocre/underrated? Well here are some few qualities:
    • The game rating is between great and bad (numberwise, between 8 and 4 or whatever you define as mediocre)
    • It sold rather low
    • There was no large hype behind it
    • Friends cared little or had no care at all (or you had to look hard to find a fan for it)
    • Price dropped on the game within a few months
For specific reasons, I'm not going to allow indie titles because about 98% of hem are all either underrated or had low sales despite their excellence (except Minecraft or DayZ or any of that sandbox nonsense =3=). I wanna focus on the games made by the triple-A producers that didn't go so well with the public and had some low runs in the market. Also, PLEASE KEEP SENSITIVE INFORMATION SPOILER FREE. If you need to get unsafe info out, please use spoiler tags. Without further ado, let us begin.

    Medal of Honor: Airborne-
I remember buying this as my first PS3 game. I read a little about it and was hooked instantly. I loved the Medal of Honor games I had on the PS2 and one for the next-gen (now it's previous gen) really excited me. Though it kinda saddened me that many of my friends lad little to no care for that game and how hard it was to find a match online. But the game really hooked me in with it's parachuting mechanics, the freedom to choose how you want to complete your objectives, the polished look of the game, and just how much it reminded me why I loved these kinds of games. It's so hard to find a FPS these days that let you have a good amount of choice in your gameplay whether it be your loadouts, where to land, and which order to complete your objectives. I still have high hopes that EA (haha by high, I mean bare minimum T^T) JUST MIGHT wanna go back to their roots and bring back the WWII games I loved.

    Spec Ops: The Line-
I had the same reaction as many others when they saw this game. "Blehh...another third-person military shoot-em up. How boring and cookie-cutter." How much was I wrong. Ok fine there is some truth to that. I wasn't impressed by the gameplay or the graphical fidelity of the game, but I had never been so into a military shooter with a very heart-wrenching campaign. Being swarmed with online shooters like Call of Duty, I almost forgot that there were still military shooters that had great stories to tell, not just being a superhuman that can mow through thousands of soldiers. It's jarring how in Call of Duty, I smiled and laughed as I shot many enemies along my merry way and in Spec Ops, how much it made me cringe with some of the brutal actions you had to do in that game. As much as I didn't want to experience something this dramatic and jarring again, I also wanted to see more producers bring us less about the fun of mowing people down and more on the horror and painful choices people do in situations like this.

    Battlefield: Bad Company-
Another shooter? Yep. Off the topic of Spec Ops, Bad Company does the exact opposite. Bringing humor, sarcasm, and fun to a rather strange area. With the familiar franchise Battlefield, many veterans were confused. It played really nothing like the old Battlefield games and it was very alien. But similar to Spec Ops, the main meat was in single player. Loveable characters, expanse maps, and fun gameplay, it was a great bag of fun in a rather overlooked game. Multiplayer was also a blast to play as well. The destructible environments only added to the chaos and fun. Sure the sequel was better received and sold, but it lost much of that humor me and many others wanted in a new Bad Company game. Once again, I hope EA (why does EA love bringing misery T^T) returns back to Bad Company and bring us the third installment to the series. Being honest, I'm getting tired of the shooters they're pumping out. I really have no interest to play Hardline.

A little warning before I start. This may include NSFW content depending on people's views. So underage people may want to keep away from this thread. If pictures are used, please use spoiler tags to prevent accidentally traumatizing people. Also, put warnings next to your topics as words can be TMI for some people.

I would say title says all, but there are a lot of people who tend to group scares and disturbances in the same group. I think it's both true and false. They both put a tick inside of us. However, one is more instant and shocking while the other is a lingering feeling. Let me explain:

Scare: Ghost that pops up in front of you, sharp and sudden sound, MOTHA EFFIN SPIDERS, ect
    Disturbance: Darkness, creepy laughter, ect

Kinda see the differences? I know someone made a thread talking about fear/scares, but I dunno. I find this in the same category, but on a different level (well unless you're a mod. Feel free to merge this or somethin. I ain't gonna argue with dat :c). If that's not the case, then see it as a scare that doesn't incite a reaction at first, but it makes your insides cringe more and more the longer you're in the vicinity of that.

So the question is what disturbs you? Something as simple as the dark? Or something far more specific and sinister?

Please do not feel obligated to answer if it's something personal. I don't wanna push you out of your comfort zone to share your views on this.

    Random Sounds when Home Alone-

When I'm alone in my home and the house makes random sounds like my rice cooker going off or random creaks, it makes me jump in my seat. Maybe because I've been watching too many horror games about murders and monsters inside a person's home and trying to kill them which involves the victim running around and finding a hiding place. It does lead sometimes lead to my next two more extreme cases, but usually, it's nothing more than a jump and then a paranoiac feeling.

    Soulless/Bloody-Empty Eyes (Graphic warning?)-

These just chill me to the core. People with completely colored eyes (Completely black or white) staring right at me. It just freezes my insides badly. It's not too bad seeing them nowdays, but they still make me cringe a bit. The worse latter on this list are people with no eyes at all. Instead, they have those empty pits with blood running down them. My god those just make me wanna curl up in a corner and cry. The best example of this would be the video game The Witch's House. I couldn't sleep for days after what I experienced.

    Extreme Gore/Violent Injuries (Graphic warning)-

This isn't disturbing itself, but the concept is. It doesn't really hit me when it comes to video games, movies, anime, ect, but when seeing it in real life pictures, it makes me sick. Very sick. This applies to both animals and human beings. If it's due to objects such as large knives, chainsaws, or other objects meant for cutting, then it's not too bad, but when it's a brutal violent actions such as wild animals attacking or heavy blunt objects, it makes the scene far worse mostly because all the damage is not cleanly made so it's just...everywhere. I've seen images (thanks Facebook you scrub) of all sorts and it doesn't matter how big or small the scale it is. Every one of them horrify me and make me sick for long periods of time. Earlier, I stated that it's the concept hat disturbs me. What does that mean? I hate it, but I imagine someone close to me in that situation which makes me clench up in even higher points of fear.

    Developer: 11 bit studios
    Release: 2014
    Genre: Survival
    Platform: PC
    Publisher: 11 bit studios
    Website: http://www.thiswarofmine.com

At first glance, this looks like any normal military shooter, but I realized instead of playing a soldier, it focuses on the view of the citizens in a city besieged by war.

For me, this looks very interesting. It takes on a unique perspective in a generic setting. Though I do have my doubts. Using emotions in a teaser is a risky move. I was fooled once by Dead Island. I'll keep by before putting down my final thoughts.

School uniforms are synonymous in anime. Even if the anime isn't about school, there's always a uniform. Eventually, one catches out eye and we say to ourselves, "Man..I wish those types of uniforms existed in our school."

So...title says all. Which is your favorite? Notice it's just "school". Not High school only because I have some lower ones that are just awesome. Have one fave or a list, let me hear!

    My top favorite is~

    The World God Only Knows

    Why? BECAUSE IT'S CLASSY.

The male uniform is just so classy and clean! It's not the usual white shirt and tie like 70% of other anime has. Stands out very well.

As for the females, it shows lots of grace and fab. THE SKIRT LENGTH IS ALSO REALISTICALLY LEGAL.

    My outfit rant is done~
