Because KHFM is much less popular and harder to modify. there are no easy to use programs to mod KHFM, meaning pretty much the only way to do it is to hex edit, or create your own programs, neither of which is easy. Plus, group mods like this usually have a lot of disagreement and argument, and if 1 person can't do their share of the work (laziness or irl problems) then the whole thing falls apart. For KH2FM, it was 1 really dedicated person ( meaning no conflict in opinion) who could create his own programs, and hex edit.

It is not playable from beginning to end, you can get through most of the game, until you receive the Oblivion Keyblade from Kairi (which is required by the story) then you get randomly teleported to "The Final Door" (a otherwise inaccessible area that is only in cut-scenes otherwise) however, if you know how to use PNACH file cheats to teleport back, and are willing to, you can complete the story. Also a similar bug, is in the coliseum, you will often be randomly teleported to the ice titan boss battle, or Sephiroth, that infinity loops every time you beat the Ice Titan/Sephiroth. There are no older versions of the patch that i know of floating around the internet, except for the one on Sora's blog, but that one has bugs of its own, bugs that can't be fixed with teleport cheats (unless you want to skip 2 story-line required boss battles). So to put it simply, your best options are: You can download the current patch, and use PNACH file cheats (if you know how, if you don't, go to the PCSX2 forums to figure out), or, you can wait.

Those are all easy to fix, what isn't easy to fix, is the random bugs. IDK how trilix managed to mess up so bad that it's impossible to beat the game due to the teleportation bug that happens when you get the Oathkeeper Keyblade.

The blog was pretty outdated anyway, besides, it's probably easier to make a new blog rather then to delete everything outdated on the old blog, then update it with the new patches.

You don't have to stop in general, just continue where Trilix left off, all you have to do is Hallow Bastion, Traverse Town, and all the strings for the Treasure Chest, I have no idea why you started over when the project was almost done. Also, i noticed you haven't made any progress with the KH2FM English patch. I understand if you have health issues and are busy irl, but that obviously hasn't completely stopped you from working on the patches, so don't completely start over when so much progress has been made and your still willing to work.

Maybe. if someone has a version of the patch from BEFORE the latest update, I can perhaps help, I know how to edit ARD files, and how to create patches (unless pathces are different from KH2FM?) But I have no idea how to fix some the game-breaking bugs, which is the most important thing.

So Trilix hasn't been online since March, this is worrying. Wonder what this will mean for the patch.

Well, as for the first bug, I encountered that to, another work around is using the "pause brings up save menu" cheat. I did not encounter problems 2 and 3, but i encountered problem #4, it prevented me from beating the game (problem #4 also applies to Ice Titan) and i did not get far enough to see any other bugs. I decided to not report them because at the time, I thought it was because the cheats i was using, But i realize now it wasn't.

Traverse Town/ Hallow Bastion, are not completed, you probably won't be able to do a normal play-trough though, you are better off playing I.5 since you apparently have it. [lucky, i don't have I.5, or a PS3, lol]

I encountered that glitch myself, i fixed it by using the save menu cheat, but that means you can't get the Oathkeeper, also, I saw some glitches where after you beat Coliseum matches, when you walk out of the Coliseum lobby, you are teleported to the last match you fought, IDK how to fix that glitch.

Well, your obviosuly in Traverse Town, Traverse Town is glitchy atm, I suggest you don't save AT ALL while in Traverse Town, same goes for Hallow Bastion

I never came across that bug, I can assure you if it ever existed, it doesn't exist in the most recent update, I tested Tarzan's world, never found any bugs in the vines section.

You can beat the game without switching, but it's harder to do Hallow Bastion and Traverse Town, and what bug in Tarzan's world?
