Seeing as back in the day, SquareSoft was killing it with RPGs, The idea of exploring different worlds that were completely alien to the player (Not Disney) would probably work just as well, if not even better. Imagine the suspense that would bubble up inside a player when they ride in the gummi ship to the new world that they have no idea what it would be next. With the Disney focus though, you already know what to expect: a world based around a Disney film. If the gameplay would be exactly the same as it is now, I wouldn't care.
But that would mean taking out Hundred Acre Wood and Halloween Town, so maybe I care just a litle bit...

After doing a bit of research, I eventually discovered a few things. The first is that Gameshark 2 V2, the gameshark I'm using, is actually a rebranded Action Replay 2 V2. The second is that Datel encrypted the codes on the PS2. The encryption was to prevent hackers from translating the codes for use on other cheat devices, as well as to prevent the creations of a code using a template.
My question is if the master code provided is encrypted or decrypted (or if it really matters) and if there is someway to work around the encryption issue to find codes that work (maybe via a cheat code converter)

I've always loved playing KH1 on expert mode. I always get a sense of satisfaction whenever I beat that boss that was tricky to beat, and the same goes for regular enemies, especially Large Bodies. Unless, of course, the camera obscures my view in a tight space, in which that's not satisfying, that's just tedious.
I've only played Re: CoM on Normal for my first playthrough and Proud for both Sora and Riku during every other, and I gotta say, I didn't see that much of a difference, mostly because in CoM, as long as you use sleights that are both affective and have a higher card total, there's no way an enemy can break through you unless its with a larger sleight or with a 0 card. This made the game a matter of pressing triangle over and over to use and perform sleights to destroy your foes (although I still really, really like CoM despite that, but that's an entirely different discussion)
I've only played KH2 on proud mode, mostly because there is no way I'm completing Jiminy Cricket's journal to get the special ending. But yeah, I actually dies a lot in 2 on my first try. I've yet to do a 2nd playthrough to see if I can take advantage of the drive moves (because in my original playthrough, I barley used them), but for my first playthrough, I think Proud is comfortable enough.
Other than that, I haven't played any other KH game, but I have to wonder what's so tedious about Dream Drop Distance and 378/Dumb Titled Days. I know that with Days, enemies have large health bars, but DDD? I thought that the game was good.

At least I hope that the master code is the only issue, because the sooner I get to play as a Gangster Hooded Mickey Mouse fighting Sephiroth, the better. I knew Square Soft was reading my fan fictions.
Thanks for helping though, I really appreciate it.

unfortunately, the codes didn't work. I tried the codes (both at the same time and individually) in Beast's castle and Land of the Dragons.
I think it may have something to do with the master code. I tried warping to various bosses in Re: CoM, and those codes were jokered, and they worked fine. On the code page for Re: CoM, it had the master code for Gamshark 2 V2, which is the version I'm using.
It's just my guess, but I think the master code that is posted on the first page of the thread is for other versions of Gameshark besides V2. Or maybe its something else

Only specific codes need to be jokered in order to work? is there a way to know if they do or don't?

Okay, so at this year's Too Many Games Expo (had a great time) I purchased a gameshark 2 V2 (bought the cartridge, which is required, later), and after resetting the cartridge to factory settings, I got to the menu of the software. I went to page 1 of this thread, and I put in the master code (902FD330 0C0C42BD), and I also put in the code that allows you to play as hooded mickey (11C95618 0000005B). I started up kingdom Hearts II, and loaded my game which was in Beast's Castle with Peter Pan summoned, and the code didn't work.

Before I go on the whole "Why didn't my code work" question that has probably been asked several times before, here are some things to note:
    - Whenever I edit a code, change the name of a code etc. the message "please insert Gameshark2cartridge" appears (most of the time anyway). Taking the cartridge out and putting it back in works well enough, but not always. Whenever I go to the start game screen, the bar where the messages appear goes away, and now I have no idea if the Gameshark disc is recognizing the cartridge is in the console by the time I start the game. My question is if the cartridge MUST be in the console while the game is loading up.
    - I have a fat model PS2 model SCPH-39001. Taking into account I disassembled the console and cleaned it out a few months ago, there should be no disc reading problems involved with the issue.
    - I used a Gameshark for PS1 a while back to access Stormy Ascent in Crash bandicoot. I could only enter the level when the master code was off. Whether the master code is on or off on the Gamshark 2 v2, the code never works. Do I have to input a different code, like an enabler code, or are master codes and enabler codes the same thing? Do certain codes need the master code on or off?
    - My copy of Kingdom Hearts II is NTSC, black labeled.
    - No other codes on my Gameshark 2 v2 are working either. I've tried Pac-Man World 2 and Klonoa 2, and no codes are working. Is it something with the cartridge again?
Please answer back anyone reading. Thanks.
Now excuse me while I go let my fingers rest for 8 hours. Man, this post was long, and it was only my first...
