Hello all. Its the first time I have posted here in a while.

I finally got around to putting in II.8 HD after buying it in January just a few week ago (I don't get to play much). 25 game hours in, I am at the final save point for both Sora and Riku in The World That Never Was. And something has occurred to me- I never found myself grinding, nor was I ignoring bonding with my spirits. Yet, I made it to the end of the game only fully completing the ability link boards for 6 spirits for each character. Mostly the starting spirits you acquire in Traverse Town. My abilities for both Sora and Riku are full of holes, and there is a trophy for maxing level, so I figured that I can make a task of leveling to 100 as well as gaining all abilities/commands by making at least one of each spirit and completing their respective link board. Sounds simple enough, right?

I have noticed leveling is already slowing down and I am only about level 43 for each character. And LP seems like a huge pain to farm. I have been running back and forth along the final world defeating all the enemies, but even then the grind is slow. I have googled better methods for both- I have read having an ability that increases your experience when in critical health can help dramatically. I don't have this. As for LP, the best way is to buy a bunch of water barrels and use those, I have read. Munny isn't as readily available in this entry as it has been in the past, and to buy enough water barrels to max 2 spirits, it seems like it will cost thousands of munny. Thus, now I need a way to farm munny efficiently.

Does anyone have any advice on how to do this in a way that won't take 100 game hours? Some of these trophies seem ridiculous- level to 100 in a game that you can complete at level 40? Max out all spirits/gain all abilities when you can complete the game with 4-6 for each main character through natural progression, but then have 40 others that you will have to grind through? It just seems the game is a bit imbalanced when you compare the length of the game with the amount of post game content you must complete to Platinum the game. Drop 100 times? I just hit 22 drops.

Anyways, TL;DR, What is the best way to level up to 100 fast, complete spirit link boards, and acquire large sums of munny end game? Thanks!

    Hello all.

I have met the journal requirements for the entirety of Mushroom XIII. However, I am after the best Mushroom weapons. As you may or may not be aware, this requires a lot of luck at A rank completion, or an S rank for guaranteed drop.

I got Donald's best staff. Now, the shield for Goofy is what I am after. General internet consensus is that Mushroom II in Halloween Town is the easiest one to get an S rank on. I have been using a combination of Stitch and Reflect. However, I just cannot seem to get my score to 99. Even when I reflect every single shot, I always seem to end at 98. Is there something I am doing wrong? Perhaps there is an easier Mushroom member to get Goofy's best shield from? Anyone have experience with this? Any tips would be appreciated.

Also, is it possible to get a score of 99 if you fail to reflect even one of the projectiles? I have gotten to the point now that if I am struck even once I leave the area and try again, as my highest scores are those in which I am not hit even once. However, if I can be hit once or twice I don't want to discard a potentially fruitful attempt.

Note: I have noticed that on some occasions, if my timing is slightly off when I cast reflect the projectile doesn't hit Sora, but it doesn't bounce back to the Mushroom either. It just sort of vanishes. Perhaps this phenomena is what is holding me back from 99. I don't want to make it sound like I get 98 every time. Usually this happens a couple times each attempt I make, and my average score is 90-95. I have reflected what appears to be every projectile about 4-5 times now, resulting in a score of 98.

That being said, would I be better off just equipping Sora with as many luck boosting accessories as possible and hope that eventually it will drop the weapon one of the times I achieve A rank? I think the base rate it 10% or something. Would it be more likely with the Lucky Lucky ability equipped and 3-4 luck rings?
(For those that are curious, I have been doing this long enough without success that I have obtained 99 of every tranquil item in my inventory. I am getting very impatient., as you may understand)

    Hello all.

I remember hearing "Sanctuary" by Utada Hikaru during the opening cinematic of KH2 as a kid, and I loved it. Perhaps even more so than "Simple and Clean." I am just now starting the World That Never Was, and it occurred to me that I do not remember hearing Sanctuary when I began the game.

Sure, a simple selection of New Game at the title screen and a reset could solve this for me, but I ask you lot instead. I know that some legal matters occurred between Square and Utada some time ago, the details of which I do not know. so I thought perhaps Square lost the rights to the song or something.

So, was Sanctuary included in II.5 HD and my memory is just garbage, or wasn't it?

I just concluded the second trip to Twilight Town and the first one into Space Paranoids, thus granting me access to both Limit and Master form. This is the first time I have played KH II FM (First time ever having access to Limit Form).

Not wanting to wait until the endgame to max all my forms from level 1-max, I have been trying to level all forms up as the level cap is raised. However, Limit Form is giving me trouble for reasons I don't quite understand.

I have googled the matter, and it appears to level the form one must use one of the limits from the shortcut bar. Then, when prompted to continue the combo with the triangle button, do so to earn 1 exp.

Trouble is, I always see the triangle prompt pop up, but it is always grayed out and non-selectable for some reason. Not being able to finish the combo means no experience for me.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have leveled both Valor and Wisdom to level 6 in Agrahbah, returning to the peddler's shop when I need to use the world map to preserve the drive gauge. I am about level 33. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

So, I am a little crazy, but I have been checking Google, Amazon, Gamestop's website, etc pretty much daily for the past couple months, searching for even the faintest clue that there will be a hardcover edition game guide for KH 2.5, much in the same style as Prima did this guide for the 1.5 collection:

    http://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Heart...-1&keywords=kingdom+hearts+1.5+strategy+guide

Mind you, the above guide wasn't without flaws, but I greatly enjoyed having it as a resource for the past HD collection. If my memory serves, I pre-ordered the above guide at least a couple months before the game released. Now, we have roughly 2 weeks until 2.5 releases and I cannot find any indication that a guide covering 2.5 is going to be released.

In my depravity, I even contacted Prima Games via email regarding any possible guide in the works. I got about what i expected as a response:

"Thank you for reaching out! We’re very happy that you’ve come to us to get the most out of your game. While we’d love to be able to publish official strategy content for every major release, we do not have information on this title at this time. Stay tuned, we hope to have more information in the coming months.

    Thank you!"

This was on October 21st. I remember that guide book for the first HD collection was delayed over a month past its initial scheduled release date. Perhaps there were some issues in releasing the first guide that I am not aware of that are affecting the release of the sequel guide? Does anyone have any ideas or insight that I lack? I prefer to get as close to 100% completion in a single run through of a game as I can, and guides are usually pivotal in my doing so.

So, I was browsing my local bookstore yesterday and came across the recently released KH Final Mix manga.

    These: http://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Heart...70094933&sr=8-1&keywords=kingdom+hearts+manga

    http://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Heart...70094933&sr=8-2&keywords=kingdom+hearts+manga

Intrigued, I flipped through them, but was disappointed to find that they seem like compiled versions of the manga collection released years ago by Tokyopop, which I still own.

    This: http://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Heart...0094933&sr=8-10&keywords=kingdom+hearts+manga

Does anyone know what the differences are (if there are any), or if despite owning the previous release if this is a worthy buy? I also own the Tokyopop release of Chain of Memories, which from what I understand is set to get a another release in this same fashion soon.

I also believe KH II will finally get an uninterrupted manga release. This is the only Tokyopop release of KH I never purchased. Which I am glad I didn't, as it was cancelled anyways. So, given that I have both the original manga collection of KH and CoM, should I just skip these releases and wait for KH II? Or do these new releases have qualities that may warrant a purchase?

    Thanks.

Okay, so I realize "Ultimate" in this sense is a misnomer. I have no doubt in my mind there are players out there who have defeated Julius at level 1 on critical difficulty with Meow Wow and Komori Bat. I realize it is pretty well player preference and gameplay style that determines which party will work best for a person.

However, I am looking for which dream eaters give you the broadest coverage of abilities. I am referring to those marked with a blue dream eater logo in the abilities menu. The ones that are only present if one of your three spirit allies has them unlocked on their link board, but otherwise are removed when the dream eater is no longer in the party. As I doubt there is a combination of spirits that gives you all slots filled simultaneously, I am looking for the combination that comes closest. Any ideas? Thanks.

I am planning to carry my spirits over to a new game and play in critical difficulty.

However, I cannot seem to locate via google what handicaps are present that separate critical from proud difficulty. I want to know my limitations before I begin.

    Does anyone know? Thanks.

I am going to play through on critical, but I was wondering if anything more than spirits and recipes transfer over when you move your post game data with you to the new file? Like glossary completion to date, abilities you have gained thus far, etc.

I would hate to spend a ton of time now going after every secret portal, keyblade, defeating the post game boss and such if it will only be erased from my glossary and completion total in my new game. Aiming for 100% completion. Thanks.

I completed the game today on Proud difficulty. It was fantastic.

That aside, I finished with nine trophies. Which, the minimum number to unlock the secret movie being 5 on my chosen difficulty, I figured I was golden. However, I noticed during the credits, the game has you "dive" for the letters to spell out "secret movie unlocked" or something of that nature. I was actually annoyed when I collected every letter but the "d" at the end of "unlocked." So I thought I would have to beat the game again to unlock the secret movie in theater mode.

Yet, when I loaded up my clear data, I was informed that the secret movie was viewable in theater mode. So what gives? Is there more than one secret movie in this game? Or does collecting the letters during the credits only serve as a gimmick? Was there a purpose for diving for the letters at all? Thanks in advance.

I am still early in my game progression, and I have come to discover that the spirits I create with one character can be used by the other. However, for optimal character development, I was wondering if unlocking abilities via ability link with the spirit will grant the abilities permanently to both characters, as is the case with the combat commands, or just the character who the spirit is currently equipped with? Namely, should I create different spirits for both characters, or will Sora and Riku sharing the same spirits affect their development negatively? Thank you.

Perhaps I am thinking too far into this, but I have quickly taken to advancing with one character to a certain point, dropping before my drop gauge empties, getting to an equivalent point with the other character, and dropping again. I prefer to complete worlds with Sora first, as I feel his cut scenes happen first chronologically in the story. But there is no real proof of this, I suppose.

Is this harming me in any way aside from perhaps rarely activating bonus time or lower drop point rewards at each drop? Namely, will I end up missing out on valuable items by doing this in the long run and I should stop?

    Thanks.

Just got my copy of the MoM edition today. I am eager to start a game, but I want to know this first. In past titles, playing on Proud mode guaranteed you trophies and rewards you likely couldn't get any other way. In the most spoiler free fashion possible, can anyone tell me what rewards await me at the end of each difficulty mode? Or if playing in Proud mode is the only way to unlock everything? Thanks.

*When I say rewards, I am referring to the secret ending, trophies, and other such things.

I have been wracking my brains trying to find the name of the episode recap theme that plays at the beginning of certain episodes in the English dub of DBZ. I really have no idea what it is called, nor where I can download it. It is the background music from this recap:

Anyone know what this theme is called? Thank you.

Hello again. Since I last posted, I have in fact obtained maxed attributes in HP, Strength, Magic, and Defense. Thanks for asking. But this is a question about the speed run through Wonderland. I have seen it said in GameFaqs that I should just get the "necessary" Inklings to speed up my time. But I can't find a guide through the world for just getting the Inklings I need. All guides seem to detail every Inkling. Does anyone have a sort of list of destinations for just those inklings that I need so that I can finish in the fastest time possible? Thank you.

Hey there. I can't seem to unlock the last system sector in Traverse Town. It is the one in which the ultimate reward is the Lionheart keyblade. I have beaten the game already and saved the clear data, and I have also done all other quests for Cid. I read someplace that I need the final upgrade to the Scan ability. Is this true? If it is of any importance towards unlocking the sector, my stat matrix is not complete yet. Thanks.

Between school, homework, eating, sleeping, and work, I hardly have time to play video games these days. I knew I had the burning desire to do a 100 floor sweep of the avatar sector though. So, I plugged my DS into the charger. Over 2 days, after school and before work I toiled, repeatedly scaling floors and getting the max multiplier on every 10th floor, leaving my DS closed whenever I left for school or work and plugged in so it wouldn't power down. Then I got anxious, and started avoiding all unnecessary foes. Eventually, I spawned a giant heartless mob and got cornered. I was KO'd, and lost all my SP(I had over 3 million). And this happened on the 97th floor. Son of a B****. I went ahead and continued the last three floors and beat the last opponent anyways. It angered me more how easy he was, as I thought of how my 4 mil SP could have been 8 mil. The stat chips I could have had. The 10 game hours over 2 days I spent traversing repetitive floors over and over again. I am so disappointed. So livid. Needless to say, I will find other means of obtaining chips to fill my stat matrix. Because I am never doing that again. /End rant

I am quite surprised there isn't a topic on this already. As I have gotten older, it has come to my attention that there are many images and messages associated with various Disney media that a child would not understand. Perhaps it is slightly crude humor, maybe an image that could be seen as something inappropriate, i.e. the original cover art on the first VHS release of "The Little Mermaid." Some of these messages could simply be misconstrued accidents that were never intended to be perceived as controversial. However, some, such as a couple still frames of a topless woman in a background window in a VHS release of "The Rescuers" are undeniably and purposely placed. So, what are your thoughts? Why would these things occur in a media form clearly aimed at children? Share some known controversial Disney material you have heard of, or feel free to explain why it is all just a coincidence. This is more for my curiosity than anything. Thanks for your feedback in advance.

Hello there. I picked up Re:Coded after 6 months of not playing, and I have been looking to max out Data Sora's stats. Now I know you cannot have 100% proficiency in all attributes, and you cannot have 100% resistance in all attributes, but when it comes to attack, defense, and magic, I am aware that these max at 200 each. My question is this: Can I attain the best attributes possible in all areas without all 30 trophy chips? Thanks in advance.

So, I pre-ordered the combined soundtracks of Birth By Sleep, Days, Re:Coded, and BBS FM, and it came in the mail yesterday. Overall, I am very pleased. Before, I had a ripped soundtrack that had been pulled from the games, and many of the tracks were too short and cut off abruptly. Some of my favorites, such as "Enter the Darkness," "Dark Impetus," "Unbreakable Chains," and "Enter the Void," are close to 5 minutes in length. This gives one much time to appreciate the music. The only downside was the price. To have the soundtrack shipped from Japan all the way to North America was quite expensive. I am curious to know if anyone else has purchased the soundtrack? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
