Yeah, pretty much EVERYONE called it. It doesn't directly come out and say it, but you can tell by the boss's stance and certain attacks he uses and the theme playing in the background that the Mysterious Figure is. . . well, just watch.

    EDIT:

I didn't watch further into the battle. THE mysterious figure appears as it goes on.

Okay, so I was watching a few battles for BBS and came across something interesting. In Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix, we get a secret episode for Aqua (who I think gets way too much screen time). As the final boss for that episode, we get what we can only assume is a heartless with glowing red eyes.

    This heartless is Vanitas. (imo)

Or at least, he has some relation to Vanitas, or he's of the same species (?) of Vanitas. In KH3D (see? The thread's on topic!) we've seen a trailer of a hooded, red-eyed figure who, by means of reading the manga, we've determined (or assumed) that he is Vanitas due to him being nothing but a red-eyed silhouette before Ven merges his heart with Sora's.

We Have Not Seen A Single Heartless With Red Eyes.

Additionally, why would Nomura throw in some random boss as the climax to Final Mix? It MUST hold some meaning, and the red eyes (which are emphasized upon many times in the battle) are the proof.

Additionally, the texture of the heartless' skin is similar to that of Vanitas' suit.

Please note that the red eyes aren't there because they're animations and not part of the model (I think)

    EDIT:

Just found a video on Red-Eyes in KH3D. Prepare for a shocker.

First of all, the texture of his coat. It obviously matches that of the Dark Hunter.

Second, his first ability is to dim the room. Just like Dark Hunter.

    Can you see the connection?

All throughout Nomura's little detour games we've been getting build up for Xehanort's return, and with KH3D it's finally upon us.

But why is it such a big deal? Terra wiped the floor with Old Man Xehanort in BBS; with him, Ven, Aqua, Roxas, Mickey, Riku and Sora, it would just be overkill this time around.

So what makes Xehanort's return equivalent to everyone's doom? That's for us to discuss here.

Personally I think Xehanort has been biding his time throughout all the games, from opening the DtD to forming Org.XIII to making his own Kingdom Hearts. It could be very likely that all of this wasn't just singular attempts to merge with Kingdom Hearts; if we've learned anything in KH it's that nothing is coincidence. The events up until now might have given Xehanort some ungodly power for all we know. In fact, that's highly likely considering the huge force Sora and the gang are rounding up.

So what are your theories on Xehanort's return? How will he be a threat to the new and awakened keybearers?

Seeing as how Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is technically the continuation of Sora's storyline, Can it technically be called Kingdom Hearts 3?

    Discuss.

Hello /khv/. After browsing through flash games in my. . . err, "spare time" at school, I came across an interesting series known as Armed With Wings. Naturally I played it until the gameplay got boring, but the story concept got me thinking. The game itself didn't emphasize so much on story as it did gameplay; the setting and conflict, however, grasped my attention even with the lack of depth. SO. . . I decided to try my hand at a novelization of this fantastic series.

Since the story lacked depth in the original concept, I decided to add a touch of my own themes. For one, the narrative will be a very (at least I hope) subtle parable on American Imperialism and the Social Darwinism present at that time. If you've played the game, you might be able to see where I'm going with this.

To be honest, I haven't had much progress in the narrative itself (it's still in the first chapter). But I have wrote a monologue for the antagonist, so I've posted this for you, /khv/, to decide if I should keep going.

    Hope you enjoy it =D

We are born - and leave this world - as blackmist.

It bathes the world to the very core and veils all to be seen in eternal night. It is the matter from which all things are made, and it is what all things inevitably return to.

And I, the superior of these lands, wield the blackmist above any other. With an iron fist I brought an empire under my rule, and with the fires of war it spread across the world.

Yet there are those who oppose my rule, peasants and village rats who preach of peace and justice. The rebel scum wander from pillar to post in an attempt to marshal an army and rise up against me, eluding capture at every turn.

But their efforts are in vain, for none can stand before my power. Only I, the enlightened one, can decide what is best for the people, for I bend the very essence of of the world to my will. I am the supreme overseer of the largest empire in existence. I am destined for godhood.

    I am Vandheer Lorde.

Hey guys, due to some problems I had to switch computers and put all of my emulator files on a flash drive. The emulator still works fine, but the recording doesn't work anymore. When I press F12 the selection thing comes up, but either I've forgotten the button to stop recording or it just won't record or stop recording. I've no idea. Any help here?

    Using 0.9.6, by the way.

So I've been trying to get this emulator to work for me all day, and I've finally gotten it to play the game I want. But now it's giving me the black screen of death problem.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure if making a thread for this is allowed, so feel free to move it if must.

I need someone to change the hair in this pic to black, the white wings and aura to a twilight-ish red-ish color, and the bandana to white.

And if you can make the barely visible cloak silver and put a red streak in the hair, that'd be appreciated.

    Argument.

Today, because he had his friends over, my brother tried to take my TV in my room and moving to his own, without anyone's consent. When I saw him with it, I immediately got up and grabbed it from him before taking it back to my room. However, my mother followed me, trying to argue that I wasn't using it and that Logan doesn't have a TV in his room; my counter argument was that I was tired of him always taking my stuff without my permission whatsoever, but she completely ignored it and continued ranting.

In the middle of this, my brother said to just forget it, and my mother left the room. After a bit, I went to the kitchen to get a drink, saw a message on the computer (my brother's computer is the only desktop with internet, and it's in the kitchen), and typed back. My mother came in, asking why I was using my brother's computer without permission. When I tried to respond, she just kept talking over me, and I lost my temper and screamed that my brother uses my TV all the time, but I never take his computer and move it somewhere else without consent. She said that's because it wouldn't work anywhere else, and I said that it was irrelevent. After a bit, I lost my patience and headed back to my room.

I don't remember exactly when, but my mother also started arguing with her boyfriend, saying that he had no right to judge how she raises her kids, and him saying that he wasn't doing that at all. The details of the argument escape me, but that was pretty much the gist of it.

Now my mother is threatening to cancel the Talladega trip for ruining her day. What do you think of this, KH-V?
