How does Ultima Weapon own anybody in Link battles if the Large Body card makes it way too easy to not get damaged? It is fun for beating Marluxia in a really fast time when used with Berserk though.

Oh, and just in case for future reference, any Sora file can get the Ultima Weapon once Marluxia 1 is defeated (and Reverse/Rebirth has been beaten at least once).

For some good old GBA Chain of Memories vids. There's a completed "time attack" collection of boss battles for Sora, and there are some other cool vids like a Riku vs Marluxia battle.

You select your Enemy cards by pressing Select in battle, and then pressing A when you want to use an effect.

And actually, the Strike rating just shows what kind of damage the KeyBlade does when Sora swings it that way. When he does a Thrust-like motion, it does damage equivalent to the Thrust rating. Combo Finish is the kind of damage he would do when he finishes a combo, and it also does one level higher than what the journal says (A 'B' rating actually does 'B+' damage, a 'C+' actually does 'B' level damage, etc.).

Of course, Stock Techniques do way more damage and are way more effective in general.

Your strategy should work well enough. Just try to get the Crescendo card, though, so that you can win faster. Having Elixirs or Mega-Ethers too would help. Oh, and since you're at the Destiny Islands anyway, you can try getting the Key to Rewards for the Megalixir card, allowing you to use Holy.

Um, can't really say much else. If you have the Gargoyle card, use it. Large Body too if you have trouble with his regular attacks. Oh yeah, and if you have high valued TinkerBells, then you might want to add a Twinkle sleight or two, since it heals you to 100% health if it doesn't get broken.

CoM, barely. Although, neither are really hard at all. With CoM, all the bosses can die in less than a minute, and with Re:CoM, bosses can't break Stock Techniques when they're Braced, and they're even affected by Stop. Re:RR deck changes didn't really affect the difficulty too much either, imo, since the addition of the Bursts and Duels really made Riku a bit overpowered. Ansem doesn't even defend against Dark Aura, making Riku just dominate against him.

Mimic his Sleight Lock and then just spam Dark Aura sleights.

Blizzard Raid with Blue Rhapsody does a lot to him. Over half a health bar if you do it right.

His Sleights are easy to Dodge Roll through, and his regular attacks get nullified by Large Body. Gargoyle can help to escape attacks too.

Eh, I personally think the Riku card isn't really worth it since an Elixir does a better job.

    - Red Nocturne/Blue Rhapsody. Mega Flare and Blizzard Raid boosters.
    - Crescendo. Omnislash and Twinkle booster.
    - Wizard. Holy, Ragnarok, and Cure booster.
    - Search Ghost. Better than Dragon Maleficent.
    - Lexaeus. It's more for Riku's story, but it's still quite cool.
    - Larxene. Dash is more helpful than most would think.
    - Gargoyle. Dominates ingame bosses.
    - Large Body. Dominates ingame enemies in general, and this is the reason why Ultima Weapon sucks in Versus.
    - Creeper Plant. It's pretty much in every Versus deck, because it protects Cure.
    - Air Pirate. Same as Creeper Plant, only for Elixirs. It also protects Holy in Heartless battles, as well as Friend cards.
    - Genie Jafar. Protects Ars Arcanum in Heartless battles.
    - Hades. It's essential for rushing the final boss, but that's about it.

Those are in no particular order, and they're pretty much the only cards I really use.

Riku 4 dies pretty easily to Holy and Riku 2 in R/R dies pretty easily to (Sleight Locked) Dark Auras...

Eh, as far as Heartless killing decks go, mine's either Mega Flare x5 + Red Nocturne and some Blitz sleights, or Ragnarok x9 with Wizard. For Bosses, I just spam weaknesses and that pretty much destroys them. Omnislash and Holy for bosses with no weaknesses.

My Link battle deck is Wizard + Stopga + Holy + Holy. Instant kill.

It gives you Elixir, which is one of the best cards in the game, and is absolutely the best Item.

It's also the easiest way to get Moogle Points in my opinion. Just run through over and over until you get enough.

White spells? Black spells? You mean like Aero and Gravity? :p

And Dark Break and Dark Aura are hardly spin-offs of anything. The closest things to them would be like Blitz or Sonic Blade...

But nowhere near as many as Sora can have or have as many opportunities to use them.

Sora can beat all of the bosses under a minute easily (except maybe DarkSide). The fact that he can spam weaknesses and the fact that he gets such strong attacks like Blizzard Raid and OmniSlash early in the game make him pretty overpowered.

All Riku really has an advantage over Sora is maybe his light mode Dodge Jump, and the Dark Mode Stun attack and BBA. Even then, Sora gets Gargoyle, Large Body, Air Pirate, Creeper Plant, Vexen, and 0s along with Cures to make up for a worse dodging skill, and Sora's other stuff like Stop, Mega Flare, Holy, and all his other powerful attacks totally outclass Riku's attacks.

Sora's mode is twice as easy as Reverse/Rebirth. Not that either are hard in any way.
