He managed to block the three lances unfortunately and had replied with an attack of his own. He seemed to utilise primarily a set of stances, and was silly enough to declare each one as he used them. That meant that it would be easy to predict each of the attacks he would unleash based on the stance that he used. One was a ferocious wind and the second employed the generation and firing of these green orbs. They posed him little trouble and he effortlessly parried the five away with Duskfall. His current combat style seemed to indicate staying fairly still and casting various spells. The lance probably had some close combat utility, however it would not be easy given the sheer size of the weapon. However, there was a fairly obvious weakness. It was a thrusting weapon meaning that it had an incredibly easy to comprehend point of attack. Not to mention that the weapon could be easily kept in check. The only problem he foresaw was the use of other stances that were hitherto unknown, but he was willing to take a bet. The wound was a concern, but the battle wouldn't be too stressful he believed.
"Am I meant to be impressed?" Kalak sneered, advancing on Reitan with Duskfall in both hands. "Your moves are very pretty, but that's about it." Kalak sped up his advance, rushing into Reitan's guard. Once he was close, it was checkmate.

Aedan, after finishing a decent course of assorted meats and greens shuffled out to go meet Sanderson by the stables as he had said. They were going to deal with a Drake problem. He didn't want to hunt them however, part of the reason that he was even going on this mission was to try and avoid that. There was always a better way than slaying the beasts. His experience with wild animals should allow them to come to another conclusions. It seemed their leader was energetic and looking forward greatly to getting out there with everyone. He could only hope that it was not an eagerness for bloodshed as well
"I assume that there are other ways of dealing with this? I would rather a non-lethal solution to the Drake issue. I am familiar with many varieties of beasts, perhaps my knowledge of their behaviour will serve well here?" Aedan spoke.

It seemed that Sanderson was going to let her into the society. Well, that suited him fine. He didn't overly care too much. Now that she was in, he had no trouble, although he wasn't going to let Sanderson know that he was just annoyed with her for wasting his time. And also that immature little bit of finger pointing.
"I have no quarrel with you now that you're a part of the society." Aston shrugged generally. They moved off, and then Kara stuck her tongue out. He rolled his eyes and sighed dramatically. So immature. "Good luck out there Sanderson!" Aston said encouragingly as Sanderson walked away. It was time for them to get going with their first expeditions. He had a good idea lined up. They were going to head down to some ruins near the Forgotten City. There was still some investigation to be done down there and it wasn't too far away from civilisation if the newbies got in trouble. Overall, it was going to be pretty good. When all the people who had signed up for the expedition were assembled he cleared his throat and began to speak.
"Hello everyone, welcome to the Adventurer's Society. If you don't remember, my name is-" The door burst open and a particularly odd looking stranger burst into the room, panting and clutching a letter in his hands.

Kellan panted as he ran for the manor. He had nicked this letter off some legitimate fellow who was talking about it at the pub. Honestly, it was so convenient that he heard the guy bragging about it drunkenly and he passed out. It was as if fate itself was on his side. He had found a group of people looking for adventure and they were new! That meant that they were going to be really, really easy to work with. Probably. He had no idea. People never seemed to like him. Then again, people were a pile of knobends so it could be expected. He looked up and could see the manor ahead. So, there were people outside. That meant that they were leaving! He had to hurry! If he didn't get there in time, then he'd miss his chance. Kellan flapped the letter around as he ran past, using that as hopefully an excuse for people to let him through. The door drew close and the sprinting man leaped through the doorway and into the big hall where there were a few people gathered. He waved the tattered letter around as explanation and caught his breath, resting his arms on his thighs as he huffed and puffed from tiredness. Eventually, he looked up at them.
"Hi, all of you. I don't know you, you don't know me but..." He said, still out of breath. "Who's up for an adventure?" Kellan gave them all the best smile that he could manage.
"Basically, there's a tomb up North in the Hinterlands. Fogwarden Keep it's called. There's valuable treasure in there, and has some secrets. The problem is, there's another group heading for it now! So, we need to be quick or we'll never beat them to it!" Kellan explained quickly. Maybe he could sell them all on it. Maybe. He could only hope. "So yeah, who's with me?"

"Well, personally I think that we ought to get going. The quicker we're there, the quicker we can help your friends." Derrick said. He offered her a hand to help her get up and prepared to lead her to the horse in the stables. His RPer had no idea what else to do at this point and so ended the post here. They really needed to get down to Oxenfurt. Like really. Okay, I'm done with this post.

Carissa looked behind her. Everyone was running, with the exception of Zahariel who was distracting a couple of opponents. He squinted. One of them looked familiar... Like... Aster! Her eyes opened wide in alarm. Zahariel better not kill her. Wait, he's not here. Even if she does die, Aster will never know any different. However, there were more immediate problems. The armoured man, one of the Knighthawks, was chasing her down at this present time and he showed no sign of giving up. The ceiling had fully collapsed now, cutting off the rest but that still meant that three of them were trapped on their side, one of which being this armoured pursuer. Normally, this would be a problem, however now that they were slightly numerically superior she wasn't as worried. Also, she had a counter. She reached into her quivers and recovered one of her Armour-Piercing bolts and drew forth a second one. She loaded the first, stopped, aimed and fired one at the Knighthawk's leg and loaded the second one, firing it at his arm to cripple his fighting ability if he caught up. She was agile enough to dodge but she didn't fancy her chances.

"You should take that lance out, you'll only blunt the edge and rust the weapon doing that." He pointed out. Kalak did not advance. Instead, the Demi-God took a couple of steps back. He would deal with this from range. Getting close was impractical at the moment, meaning that it was a better idea for him to deal with this from a distance. He summoned forth his magic and reached into his memory of forging weapons. The material took form in the air around him. The sound of the forge rang in his head, called forth by the process of remaking a weapon. The first took shape, a long spear in a spiralling pattern of black and white. He then replicated the weapon above him twice. He positioned the three to strike from different angles, then fired them towards the lone man in front of him. Blocking all three would be difficult, nigh on impossible. He made sure to aim one towards the weapon so that if he did move it, it would expose his body. This human would die, and swiftly. He didn't have time for his attitude.

Dale nodded in agreement with Caleb's assertion. As far as he could tell, there was nothing to suggest otherwise. Although, he did think it perhaps odds that she would open the door for them when they had been loitering about the street. Sure, she had smiled at him and he back at her, but that was no reason to go around opening doors for random strangers. If anything, that seemed a particularly poor idea. However, this was their best chance at information and the judge wasn't in the house right now. Without any further ado, Dale opened the door and stepped inside.
"Hello?" He said as he stood in the hallway, holding his staff slightly ahead of him.

Spriggan, that was the leader of her society that he saw at the tavern. Apparently he really was a leader of sorts. And also, he noted, a competent mage of some sort. If he knew how to monitor his people through a mass spell of some kind... That man commentating the tournament and heading up that bar was more powerful than he would have ever suspected. That, he supposed, was why Evanora allowed him to get involved and tolerate him, even allow him to commentate. Shani had just divulged by accident something very, very interesting. Something that he was curious about, and slightly concerned about. That meant that if any of those Roma people crossed into Dorian lands, then there would be risks that his family were in. Depending in the temperament of the man, it could be potentially dangerous. And also for him. He would need to investigate this Spriggan. The more he knew about their magic and their magical information network, the better he could take care of his house when dealing with these people. As he had remarked before, the common folk were their greatest asset but their worst enemy simultaneously. Aside from those thoughts, she had also been reprimanded for their brief contact. He chuckled.
"Reprimanded were you? It seems that he doesn't approve." It became clear to him in that moment, that what Florica had said was true. He had passed it off at first, but now it rang home. She was impossible, and so was he. He looked down at the woman below him. There were a certain amount of regret that he felt when he realised this and he allowed it to show. They came from two different worlds. Neither he or she would change. Nor would either be expected to. "You live in a harsh culture, Shani. Though I suppose we're both bound by our own chains." Vance's feet finally touched the solid ground beneath him and he breathed a sigh of relief. He wasn't going to fall.

"I see... Interesting." Vance said, considered what she had said. It sounded like some sort of cultural phenomenon that he was not aware of. Not that he was an expert in such things. Truthfully, it sounded like a bother to him. There was no such thing as a moral cleanliness depending on whether your legs or your arms touched a given object as far as he could see. However, that was the culture she had grown up in and it was not his place to actively question her beliefs and values, as illogical as they may have seemed to him. He could see part of why such a stricture had been developed, but he could not see why it would continue into this day and age. It sounded to him like a relic from past times where hygiene was less frequent than it was now, when those ideas probably would have been helpful in avoiding diseases and infections. However, something that she said surprised him and it pointed a clear inconsistency. If not in her beliefs, then in her behaviour. Upon thought, he wouldn't be surprised if she was the sort that would defy the rules on occasion and the tone of voice was one that was repeating words learnt by memory after frequent scoldings. He chuckled to himself. "In that case Shani, allow me to ask you something."
"If marime concerns occur primarily when it's between Roma and Non-Roma..."
He began. "Why did you touch me when we first met? Not to mention that you pushed your gun up on me, surely causing another concern?" It occurred to him afterwards that this was an awkward question. Vance found himself short of a few ****s to give and was happy he asked anyway.

"I don't think this is El Dorado, but I don't think that Zephyros is wrong..." Vance said as Zephyros prepared to fly down. It was a good call. It was reassuring to know that he wasn't the only one with those suspicions. The thing that struck him was the fact that there was a gate that lead to somewhere. There was nothing to say that there were no inhabitants beyond it. Perhaps they didn't set guards because they didn't feel the need to. The gate would usually be enough, he supposed. Besides, there was more of this place yet and there were clear signs that there was, at least at some point, civilisation here. How long ago... He couldn't say. He approached the rope and began to make his way down, following directly behind Shani. He looked down at her. "I will take the rope and clean it for you if you wish. It shouldn't be too much trouble." It was a small favour, but perhaps part of the way along to fixing some of the awkwardness of before. It seemed to have got better but as he knew, things were not easily forgotten especially offences and slights. He would need to stay in her good books. However, he did think it odd. And indeed, she put a pair of gloves on and asked that they clean the rope. He was mystified. Did she have some sort of cleanliness thing? That couldn't be right. She had touched him before. Not to mention the ship. Perhaps he would inquire.
"So, why does this rope need to be cleaned? Also, why the gloves?" He asked.

Vance eyed Conrad, the other nobleman with a look of concern. The worry he was displaying for Florica was... Surprising. Something was wrong, he could see that. The other man was not one for expressing emotions in public but the way he spoke and looked belay the truth. Not that, he supposed, he could blame him. Were it Shani, he'd show a similar concern. That openly? Perhaps not. In any case, he didn't disagree. They did need to find their companion. And if Damian hadn't actually managed to find anything then... He considered the problem of getting down. He thought about what he could do, but he was exhausted. Between Arc of TIme and the Dark Écriture wings, he was tired and didn't want to risk using more of his magic. He needed enough to be able to fight later.
"Just as I formed wings using Dark Écriture, I believe that you can find a way to create some way of getting down. A rope doesn't seem unfeasible." Vance suggested. If Florica had disappeared, then where could she have gone? She would have followed, or stayed there at the very least. He doubted she'd wander off out of pure curiosity all on her own. They hadn't seen anyone so far, but there were signs that civilisation had been here. A chill ran down his spine as it occurred to him. "Who's to say that they're not gone after all?"

She got massively confused for a moment, thinking that actually they were meant to capture and not kill the monsters. It turns out, it was the animals. Why were they going to fight the animals? They didn't exactly need reminding not to go around murdering sheep? Anyways, she gripped her sword and charged forwards, conjuring a crackling shield of magic around her. She would end this creature and they could move on with the mission.

    Alessia used Thunder Surge.

Carissa Kill Count: 32 (Thanks for the sacrifices Xan)

Their attack was utterly ineffective. The unassuming woman proved to be a troublesome element, against all of her expectations. Jayce was teleported away, and unharmed. The Dwarf absorbed Onamakritos' flames and Zahariel's fire seemed to do absolutely nothing. Jayce was leading a charge, Throda was heading for the Fire mage and Lucien was engaging Zahariel. Jayce was helping the Dwarf and now, one of the Knighthawks was after her. In short, it didn't look good. The only plus side was that half of Jayce's men had been blown away. The Demi-God demanded a surrender. There would be no surrender here. If they gave up, they would die. If not now, then executed in a Hammer prison cell. That could not be allowed. It was time for a tactical retreat. This battle was lost. She gritted her teeth as she admitted it to herself. This battle was not one that could be won, They were outnumbered, they had breached the tower and it was only the three, now four with the late arrival of assistance. But it wouldn't be enough. No, it was nowhere near enough. Carissa with expert speed reloaded her crossbow and pointed it at the ceiling.
"Not today, Jayce Reaver." The Huntress spoke, pulling the trigger. She leaped back as the Explosive Bolt sailed towards the ceiling. "Shards, with me!" They had an escape transport further up near the cannon. They'd make it there, get as many as they could out alive and retreat. She dreaded returning to the base. Jaden was not going to be happy with this turn of events, but what other choice did they have?

"We can arrange a method of payment of some sort. I'm sure that we can come to an arrangement." Derrick replied, handwaving past the issue of payment. He did need payment, however he knew that such things didn't have to be resolved immediately. In any case, her home sounded bad, but there might be something there yet. They would see after everything was done. For now, the real question was at hand, and that was one of when they started. "Now then, when are we going to get going? The sooner the better obviously, but I'll leave it to you. If you need rest, I can use Axii and put you to sleep on the horse to Oxenfurt if you want." There was a sorcerer, but he didn't plan on asking for a portal service. Besides, he very much wanted to bring his horse because portals were all well and good up to the point at which he didn't have a practical way to get back. There was no point buying a second horse, and he didn't have the cash for that. This wasn't going to be a well paying job either, so the chances of him being able to get a temporary mount were slim at best.

Carissa head a thunk as the bolt hit something metallic, and then Jayce's voice echoed down the corridor. He didn't sound in pain at all, and he would. Or at least, a little fazed. She could only assume that the bolt had failed. She cursed. A lot. She could hear them charging down the corridor. The only really good thing about this whole situation was that Zahariel had showed up out of seemingly nowhere as usual. She peered around the corner. They were coming, and Jayce had a shield. Judging by the looks, it had absorbed the wave of fire that her enigmatic ally had sent flaming down the corridor. That needed to be out of the way, as soon as possible. She reached into her quiver and loaded another Explosive Bolt. She would blow that shield off his arm, and maybe take the arm with it if she was lucky. Then, they would be all Zahariel's. And, she remembered, Onamakritos.
"Once I fire, you send one of your explosive flame blasts down there. Between the three of us, we can wipe them out before they even reach us." The Huntress hissed to the other man. Zahariel would catch on, he was that sort. Jaden had given him an annoying amount of free rein for a reason. She peered around again, aimed the crossbow and fired at Jayce leading the way. We'll have you this time you son of a *****. I'll make sure that this is the last time you screw with the Shards of Hope. And I'll put an end to the hellspawn that was your family. I never knew Aidan. But I know that his reasons were good. You're the spawn of that monster Xanatos. You're a two faced traitor just like him. I wonder if you'll turn on your own people too. Aston rolled his eyes. He was the suspicious person? He was one of the organisers! That was it, this woman couldn't have actually been invited! Surely Sanderson wouldn't have brought someone this infitessimally stupid along surely?
"My name is Aston Venger and I'm one of the people organising the Adventurer's Society." He pointed out bluntly and put a hand on one of his swords, raising an eyebrow. "Now that you've made yourself seem very, very silly, I suggest that you come with me. After all, it seems like there's something we ought to be talking about with Sanderson." He gave her a hard look. He hoped that she would choose the easy way out here. Anything else would be horribly, horribly inconvenient.

Meanwhile, the Druid explored the tables, hunting around and picking out particularly tasty looking morsels of food. A little cake here or a piece of meat there. Some of the food was entirely unfamiliar to him and he welcomed the new experiences. They didn't have the materials for things like this at home. A small part of him feared that he would get too used to this. Admittedly, it seemed like they piled far, far too much sugar on to some of these delicacies. What they were able to get was sparse and so was used sparingly, but it seemed that this Sanderson had plenty of money to spare on such things. One would have to though, he supposed. After all, there were quite a few of them in this society that he created. There was a small village's worth of people gathering in this big room by the looks of things. Lots of other people were talking, but he couldn't say that he had a lot to say at the moment. He was content to simply watch people go by. Eventually, something was going to happen. Once it did, he would finally act.

As they were milling around talking outside the Judge's house in a manner that was no way suspicious at all, plot convenience struck at its finest. For you see dear readers, our angsty hero spotted just the man that he had been looking for. The enigmatic beadle who they had heard so much about was walking down the street just as they were standing there talking. He even had a helpful nametag on! Beadle Bamford. Well, that's convenient. Of course, this led to a dilemma. He could either talk to the child kidnapping, extortionate and downright suspicious character that was this Judge Turpin, or he could interrogate this Beadle for more information. Frankly, he felt more like kicking down the Judge's door. Also finding out who that girl he kept locked up in there was. It was entirely possible that it was the girl that Ms Lovette had mentioned earlier, but that was just a theory. A Game Theory! Bad jokes aside, Dale did in fact have something to say.
"Caleb, you're with me. Trevor, can you take the others? I just saw the Beadle going down the street and we should find out what he knows. I want to figure out what's going on with that girl, and the judge." Dale stated.

"There must be another way across there. I could try and restore the bridge, but I don't fancy my chances. Not after the flying." Vance answered. "We need to get down and out of here and find another way around and the plot while we're at it." The Nobleman couldn't really add anything else that was helpful. The nature of what happened was truly eluding him, and he was starting to come to the conclusion that there was no way he would be able to figure it out, even if they looked around the place. Right now, he just wanted to figure out if there was in fact a city of gold here, even though the prospects didn't look terribly likely. It seemed like the whole navigation had gone wrong. This didn't look much like an island from what he had seen.
"I assume that we're on the other side of some sort of river or channel Thea." Vance noted, answering her question. "Although, I'm not sure that we're on an island at all to be honest. You might well be on to something..."

It seemed that the universe was trying to inconvenience him indeed. Here, he was faced with another person. Like the girl from before, this one radiated a different sense that the rest of the Shards of Hope that he had encountered. Unfortunately, that last one had taken a lot out of him with her clever manoeuvres, so he was going to be fighting this one with an injury. However, he was confident that he could defeat a second one. He was a Demi-God, and he could rely on his magic to a certain extent. The mere thought of it made Vasher stir, which reminded him that he couldn't afford to let Black Vasher be unleashed again. Either White Vasher, or himself would have to fight this one out. He sized the other man up. Those around him were burnt to a crisp, which suggested that he was going to be fighting either some kind of Light magic or Fire magic wielder.

"Your overconfidence will be your undoing mortal. You've already let a handful of our best through." Kalak pointed out. He smiled. "I'll give you this chance though, as I gave to your friend. I'll let you live if you surrender and get out of my way. I don't have time to play." The Demi-God reached to his back and drew the Zweihander that was suspended there, narrowing his eyes. It was going to be a fight, he had no doubt. He'd let White Vasher take control. A peaceful takeover wouldn't be painful and besides, White was far, far more gentle.

As she headed down towards where she had set the soldiers, she heard the bursts of gunfire and nothing else but the pounding of footsteps. She readied her crossbow, but as the steps turned she saw two of the men she had dispatched. The others were dead presumably, and the reason was all to obvious. They were coming. They reached her and stood before their Captain, panting.
    "Ma'am, it's them!" One panted.
"They're coming! They got Steven..." She looked blankly at the two of them. As if she particularly cared about Steven, or either of these two for that matter. Right now, there was bigger prey at hand and she fully intended to hunt them. Carissa reloaded, placing the Magic Suppression Bolt back in its quiver and replacing it with one of her most precious pieces of ordnance. One of the two Immuno-Collapse Bolts and she held a Magic Supression Bolt at the ready. She'd fire off what she could in rapid succession to cripple Jayce. The rest of them... She had Onamakritos. One thing did bother her somewhat. Where was He? He should be here, at least, she believed so. The one person that even she couldn't control effectively.
"Then you'll have your chance to avenge him. Onamakritos, you two, you're with me. We're going to meet them head on. They go no further." Carissa crossed the remaining distance between the corner. She took in a deep breath. From here, the intense fighting would begin. The Huntress tightened her grip on the crossbow and stepped around the corner. Immediately, she saw the group of attackers. One woman, Jayce, Throda the Dwarvern warrior and the other man, she believed his name was Lucien. And a Knighthawk, which meant Ashleigh Outnumbered, ****. And two Demi-Gods. I have myself and Onamakritos. I'll need to keep moving. She focused her eyes on Jayce, aimed and fired before diving back around the corner. Here we go.

"There is a precedent for an unconventional payment. I will ask you to grant me that which you find at home but least expect. We call this the Law of Surprise. You've probably heard of it." Derrick explained. It was one of the things that their order was most famous for. That was how the Witchers gained new Witchers. Not many people willingly gave their children to the Witchers. His parents were the exception. He wasn't at all bitter. He saw that she was sitting herself down in the blankets again. He wanted to get going personally, but they had to negotiate the terms a little more. "Is that acceptable to you?"

Carrrak and Alanna had finally reached the Kaer. Someone else, a woman, had rode past. The Witchers were leaving it seemed. It was as good a time as any to slip inside and start their work. He led the way, not heading immediately for the entrance to the Great Hall. Instead, he started a circuit around the castle and the gates to evaluate the opportunities. There wasn't anything out here from what he could tell, but that didn't mean that there wasn't a chance inside. In fact, that's what he was betting on. However, looking at it, destroying the castle was a bit out of his league.

Perhaps killing them all would do.

Vasher's grin only widened as he began to gain the advantage. Finally, this irritating mortal girl was where she was meant to be. Falling back, being overwhelmed beneath his raw force. The mind of the ancient spirit never considered once that it was a weakness that Ien had found. He presumed that it was his arrogance, his laxity that would lead to the grievous wound he would take. Kalak, a prisoner inside his own body, could only watch as events unfolded. That confounded scabbard was gone and Vasher was pleased. He was impressed with the mortal's determination. As far as mortals went, she was certainly a worthy foe. This one perhaps, would be worth his remembering. The one who managed to land a blow. She was paying for that. Smaller cuts, wounds that snaked past her defences and would wear her down slowly, but surely. Perhaps she would bleed to death before he was able to land a decisive blow. Now that would be something worthy of remembering. He was struck by her resistance, her unwillingness to back down. But right now, she needed to die.

And then it happened. Even as he hammered down blow after blow, the girl would not relent. Her voice full of pride, she spoke out against him. Declaring that she was human. He had never seen a mortal move so fast. His body lunged into the attack, drawing him into her strike as she ducked beneath his strike. A perfect manoeuvre, executed with skill and precision. Raikiri cleaved through his chest and through his lower ribcage. A little higher and perhaps she would have struck the heart. He fell to one knee, the swords disappearing into midair and he clutched his side, trying to stem the gushing blood. An unearthly howl was ripped from his throat. Vasher wavered, and Kalak broke through.

All vision blacked out for a moment as he reasserted control over his body. The redness faded from his eyes and skin and his clothes returned to normal. The darkness seemed to lift away for the most part, leaving only a faint shadow hanging over him. Kalak looked down at his wound. It was bleeding, profusely. He remade his armour again and wove some of the black material back into his wounds to stem the bleeding and hold himself together. The battle wasn't over yet. Another fight like that and he may rip the wound open again. The Demi-God looked back at the girl he was fighting, she had collapsed. Logically, he should kill her. Perhaps it was some of Vasher's influence, but she had earned the right to survive the fight. Besides, it looked like they were breaking through. She could be a prisoner yet. He stood up again, groaning and headed towards the breach in the tower which Jayce had made quite obvious by now. Jayce. He called.
"Jayce, this is Kalak. What was it you needed?" Kalak asked as he drew closer to the entrance. "I'm nearly inside. Got held up." That was the understatement of the century.

Once Onamakritos has fired off that blast, it caused some chaos below. The soldiers, now unsure of what happened and confused as to where to direct their fire, were halted in their onslaught of firepower. She was able to get up and fire off another five shots from her crossbow, and another five fell. However, as she did, she saw soldiers falling. But it was from the wrong direction. Curious. If they survived this, she would have to look over in that direction. Now that she noticed, there were a few bodies that had fallen in that direction. Someone, she had no idea who, but someone was helping them. She came away from the wall and looked at the man speaking to her, feeling a little relieved. The fact that they were getting fire support was invaluable.
"Yes, we'd better intervene personally. They'll be coming soon. We should get ready." Carissa reloaded her crossbow with one of her Magic Supression Bolts. I know you're coming Jayce. It's time I dealt with you. "I doubt he's alone. Take no prisoners."

The creature was repelled by the force of her attack, to her pride. She was glad that she had managed to have an effect on it. It showed that her new techniques were working excellently. Now that she found herself close to the creature, she laid into it with her sword once again, trying to weaken it. Once it was sufficiently weakened, she could use her gravity magic to hold it down. What did surprise her that her attack seemed to do more than even Zephyr, who defeated her. Not to mention Beucette. Being a Slayer it seemed, was not the be-all and end-all of fighting magic, though it was very good from what she could see.
