    Kids

Just about hit a couple because one of was just walking with their head down not looking and the other was just walking backward into the street without looking.

Kids on our street just stand out there instead of standing away when waiting for the bus. Today of all days, their parents weren't out there with them. The roads are covered in snow and slippery, and I wouldn't have been able to stop.

We're going to complain! This has been a problem for a long time, and I've almost hit kids before. I didn't almost hit this one, but on my way to get my mom one day there were kids in the road, and they all moved out of the way when they saw me, with the exception of this stupid little boy who just stayed standing there in the middle, and I was forced to go around him.

What depends on how much it hits and how many people it hits?

For example, at 16:10 here it hits everyone, but not that much; however, at 19:40 it hits Sora and Goofy a lot, but doesn't even hit Donald:

I am getting really fed up hearing about shootings! My condolences to the families and everyone affected. It's terrible.

Oh, man! At least one person confirmed dead.

In addition, in Roscommon, Michigan, a minivan was dragged 16 miles after it rear-ended a semi due to the blinding conditions, with the semi driver unaware.

    Admittedly, I'm a bit jealous.

If you're in Michigan (not sure if your area's getting snow, @Sanya, but tagging you, anyway), stay home! If you do have to drive, keep it within city limits or on minor highways, but stay off the freeways, passes, and major highways.

In Microsoft Word, which my mom has on her computer, you can double-click on one of the column lines to automatically adjust to the exact amount of width the column needs. However, this doesn't with on OpenOffice Writer for me, and I was wondering if it's possible to do and just requires something else.

It's 1:21 AM, and tonight I wanted to be in bed about an hour and 20 minutes ago, but nope! Still up from computer problems that started last night.

    • My computer suddenly started locking up and freezing.
    • I restarted it and that seemed to fix the issue.
    • I recorded Crash Bash with Roxio, one of my current YouTube projects.
    • While the video was processing, I just watched TV in order to not have to deal with the lockups I get for the first few minutes of the processing, which is normal for me because processing (and the subsequent saving I do on Windows Movie Maker) takes up RAM, and well, I don't have that much RAM, though they do go away as I use the computer.
    • After it finished processing, the lockups did not resolve and persisted.
    • I had to kill the processes of the applications I had open (Firefox, Windows Live Mail, and Skype) because they would not close normally and finally got everything closed after, oh, I don't know, 10 minutes!
    • I had enough and after clicking on the start menu and waiting for a minute or two for yet another lockup to resolve, I clicked Restart like I did last time.
    • It just sat there on the log off screen for over an hour (I watched more TV in hopes that it would be restarted in a few minutes like last time) with "Shutting Down."
    • I gave up waiting and manually restarted it with the restart button on the tower.
    • It got to the starting Windows screen and had to do a disk consistency check, which, I guess, isn't anything to be too worried about. It's happened with my mom's computer before a number of times, but this was a first for me; however, remembering it's happened with my mom's computer, I wasn't too worried. I think it found some corrupt files and fixed them, but I'm not too sure. I didn't understand it.
    • About an hour ago, I finally got back on the computer and haven't had issues since.

It never completely froze, though, and I could still navigate around and stuff, it just took forever, so rather than waiting for my computer to get its **** together, I just restarted it.

Hopefully this was one of those weird one-time things and the computer being off all night after I go to bed in a few minutes will further help it. My mom's computer has been having similar problems for the past week, though, so not sure what that is from. In her case, it doesn't completely freeze, either, it's just very sluggish and all that "fun" technology jazz.

I've dealt with blue screens quite a few times before -- and I haven't had any since -- but at least that's just a matter of letting the computer restart and boom, you're up and running again! Don't have to wait and wade around a computer that's locking up every five seconds.

I do know I need more RAM. I only have 2.00 GB with 1.75 GB usable, which is why when I'm processing a video on Roxio, saving a video on Windows Movie Maker, or the computer is running its daily AVG scan in the morning, it locks up, but if I just let it sit there for a minute or two, it resolves. What happened tonight wasn't from RAM issues, but another weird issue.

Lately, but not every time, just sometimes, when Roxio is processing videos, my color scheme changes to Windows 7 Basic (I use Aero), sometimes without the message even popping up. There is no way I can change it back to Aero, but when the video is done processing and I close Roxio, it fixes itself.

It's not really a big deal, I'm just curious as to what could be causing it. Additionally, even more lately, but, again, not every time, when my color scheme changes to Windows 7 Basic, I'll get some error regarding Microsoft, but I can't remember what it is. I'll try to get a screenshot of that the next time it happens.

Is there a way we can see what our milestones have been -- for example, what our 2,000th post was -- and can we filter them? As in:
    • Can we see what our 2,000th post was in all forums?
    • Can we see what our 2,000th post in post-counting forums only was?

This is something I posted back in March 2014, but I had @Korrasami™ delete it when he was still staff because @Lightning Farron offered to critique it, which he did, but he never got back to my last response due to being busy, which is understandable.

Now @Calxiyn, who can post her thoughts if she wants, has offered, but I also wanted to see what others thought and how I could improve it:

And these were Hero's thoughts on it:
