Well information you gave was missleading enough to make me check if there is new banlist. Right now there are speculations about new OCG banlist. Lots of cards get erata and get moved to one if they are right.

You are still bound by common rules of world. And between GX and Zexal they seem to have working anti-cheat system. So yes you can have cards from any time, but systems should immediately render you cheating when you would try using those cards in duel. But I agree that I also don't see any way for this RP to work. And if it somehow does, it probably will go with just Jaden, Latias and Abby, unless reasonable plot will be present.
Lack of synchros and clear follow-up don't automatically means its not a follow-up up in the same universe/timeline. (However I personally think its not in the same universe/timeline, I will stay objective and say that unless it will be revaled clearly that it's in alternative universe/timeline we must threat it as part of canon.)
I'm not taking about if Yuma can or cannot be in it. I'm talking about cards alone. Placing RP right after BBT kills a big chunk of cards. Plus whole situation about Zexal being on orginal timeline is questionable topic. There's no evidence that universe is not the same as in orginal one.
Again by what those two decided it takes place as BBT just ended. No Xyz, no Pendulum, no Quasar. Knowing what they decided I will be suprised if anybody except you would go with these conditions.
Actually he is. To be more precise, his deck is. It's WATER Xyz Spam deck as I remember. After BBT but before Zexal means no XYZ, Pendulum and killing all the good cards. No question asked.

1st Arena RP =/= any other RP. 2nd When I used that character I went with keeping it's strength on really easy rule. It's strength will for most of time exceed your chars combined power. Meaning more chars you have I get more strong char. If you think that was godmoding, then there is no hope for you to understand my point of view.
