Ananta looked at Kross as he spoke to her. She stood there and stared at him as he told her to not worry about Karina. "You say that now, but I bet if she gets the choice between saving herself and saving us, she'd choose to save herself." she said, stomping a Rapid Thruster that she had slapped with her keyblade. it disappeared and the heart inside of it floated away. As she looked over at Kross, she saw he was launching Rapid Thrusters into the air, dizzying them. "Okay, so I need to take them down, huh?" she said, looking around herself to see if she could find something to use. "Can't use magic, there are like, 7 of them up there....oh!" she mumbled to herself, saying 'oh' loudly as she noticed a Hook Bat flapping about, looking as if it was about to use an attack. Jumping up, Ananta latched her keyblade onto it's hook and spun around in the heartless that Kross had launched and dizzied. She watched as each one exploding and disappeared, leaving their hearts behind. Landing below, Ananta watched the poor Hook Bat try to get away, looking pretty dizzy. Taking her keyblade, she swung it and bopped the Hook Bat on it's head. It disappeared and released the heart within it. Ananta looked up at the hearts floating away and tilted her head. "Why does that happen?" she asked out loud. "Kross, do you know anything?" she asked. "I mean, why are there hearts floating away? What even are these things..." she questioned, looking at them as they mucked about. A hoof stomped down in front of Ananta and a deafening roar was heard. "Oh shi-" she said, hopping away, trying to not get hit. "Stupid thing, you almost hit me!" she said, stabbing at it with her keyblade, swinging at it and trying to deal some damage. "Well, they say the bigger you are, the harder you'll fall..." she grumbled, hopping back to catch her breath. This was going to be a long battle. Ananta grunted, feeling a heartless shove her backwards in an odd attempt at trying to unbalance her. Watching Karina run off, she sighed and thought about what Karina had said. Karina didn't think of anyone as her friend. Ananta could see why she didn't. What with Beuce and Glen being their comrades and all, but still, isn't it a little unfair to not at least try and become friends with somebody? Looking around herself, Ananta looked at everyone that was still in the area. Some of them she still hadn't fought or explored a world with, but she still trusted them all. Most of them were better wielders than her anyway, with years of experience. She only had maybe a year's worth of experience. She only received her keyblade because her world was ending. Her grandmother said so herself. Ananta looked at her keyblade and frowned. If her grandmother hadn't been taken away from her, if her entire world was still around, Ananta would probably have never gone on this journey. She'd still be at her home, eating breakfast each day, going to work, having fun, and training to be a Sage. Maybe she wasn't fit to wield this keyblade. After all, if none of this happened, maybe Ananta would be just a normal person. Then again, her grandmother herself told her that some day she'd do great things. Ananta figured she meant as a Sage, she'd do some pretty great stuff. So maybe, being a wielder was what she meant? Ananta shook her head and turned towards the West Gate. She just couldn't take being around Karina for now. The girl is a lost cause at the moment. Maybe Ananta could try and patch things up later, but right now, Karina was too headstrong about fighting some heartless. As she approached the West Gate, she saw Kross fighting heartless. Instead of saying anything, she simply stood close by and began to fight heartless, still lost in her own thoughts.
"Actually, you didn't say that. But I guess you don't care if you die." Ananta said, slashing at a few heartless. "I do listen, but I'm too stubborn to sit here and let a friend fight alone. Especially if she refuses to run. And keep talking like that and I definitely won't help you and I definitely will let you die, Karina." Ananta said, turning towards her, hopping back from a heartless that lunged at her. "I'm sick and tired of you acting so damn tough all the time. I've seen tougher people, for instance those masked people, and they didn't act as cocky or self centered as you." she said, destroying a heartless in front of her. "You may be strong, but you're not strong at all. Physical strength won't make up for a lack of friendship. That's what our hearts need to continue fighting heartless. The way you keep pushing everyone away, that won't help you at all!" Ananta called to her, hitting the wall and frowning. Who was she to talk about friends and strength of heart? She didn't even believe in herself. Ananta stared at a heartless and threw a fireball at it, grunting when one slashed at her leg and left a small mark. "Fact of the matter is, Karina, is that you think you've got it all, you think you can beat everyone, but you CAN'T." Ananta said, standing beside Karina once more, watching the few heartless that were there disperse and scamper away momentarily. "You have to have faith in your friends and comrades, you can't just keep thinking you can beat everyone and everything. That's foolish and childish." Ananta said, staring at Karina. "I'm not the smartest person on our time, nor am I the strongest, but I don't sit here and believe I can defeat everything with strength alone. Don't forget that it was because you had friends and comrades beside you that you've even made it this far. It's thanks to everyone trusting each other that we're all here and in one piece." she glared at Karina. "But if you are going to continue thinking that you're the strongest and don't need anyone, than you're going to get yourself killed. I don't know who you're trying to prove yourself to, but getting killed definitely won't prove anything. It'll only prove how stupid you are, in the end." Ananta finished.
I didn't realize somebody could win player of the month twice in a year?
Ananta was going to retort, but she was cut short by a white haired pest. She had spied him out the corner of her eye. She was about to ask him what he wanted and why he hadn't already ran through the mirror, but she was too late. His hand was cupped around Karina's breast and it looked like Ananta couldn't stop Karina. Especially after Beuce decided it was smart to slap her butt before running off to the mirror. "Beuce why did yo-" she began before Karina swooshed by her, anger emanating from her. Ananta couldn't blame her. That was sexual harassment. Instead of standing around, wasting time, Ananta began to run after Karina. Skidding to a halt, she saw Karina fly into the mirror. "Did she trip?" she wondered, following behind Karina. Listening to Karina, Ananta frowned. "Karina!" she said, standing beside her. "I don't get why the hell you think I'm trying to act all motherly towards you. I'm not. I'm trying to be logical in this because apparently you can't think when you're this angry. The fact of the matter is, if you stayed behind and fought alone, what if you died? Whatever happened in your past, I'm guessing some pretty bad stuff, whoever you're trying to prove yourself to, that wouldn't work. They'd think you're weak for getting yourself killed. I won't let you get killed, that's for sure." Ananta said, putting her hands on her hips. "I'm staying too. And I'm going to sit here and make sure you don't get killed. Besides." she said, raising a fist. "I have a score to settle with Nequa anyway." she had a sinister grin. "Now, Karina, are you going to trust in your comrades or are you going to continue pushing us all away?" she asked, pushing the door open.
Ananta turned to Kross as she felt his hand slide from hers. "Kross?" she said, looking at him as he walked back to a mirror. She was about to ask what he was doing when she saw him go through the mirror. "Kross!" she yelled, reaching towards where he used to be. Grabbing thin air, she frowned. Looking around, she noticed Karina was standing not too far. Shaking her head, she huffed a moment. "What am I going to do?" she thought out loud. Opening her eyes, she watched Karina walk away from the mirror and the others. As she disappeared, Ananta felt something ping inside her head. "Whatever Karina is doing, she isn't doing the right thing." she said, walking fast before breaking out into a run. As she grew closer to Karina, she listened to what she was saying. "Karina!" she said sternly. Ananta knew Karina was strong, but she didn't know she was happy to throw her life away for nothing. "Stop, you can't do anything. None of us are strong enough to fight these people and monsters. I can tell you hate running, but if we don't run, we will die." she said, stopping behind Karina. "Look, I can tell something is troubling you. Something has been troubling you the entire time we've been here. I thought maybe if you went to the training ground, you could get rid of some of this unnecessary anger, but it looks like you haven't really improved." Ananta said, stepping to the side and looking at Karina. "But all this talk of not running away and winning is foolish. We've all been ordered to flee. We can fight another day when it's actually clear we stand a chance at winning. As it is, none of us will win." Ananta said, sighing. She put a reassuring hand on Karina's shoulder. "I know you don't want to run, but I don't want to see any of my friends get hurt. So please, leave this place with us. You'll get your chance to fight another day." Ananta finished, hoping her words reached through Karina's thick skull.
Oh boy!
Ananta looked at Kross and listened to what he had to say. A keyblade master? Sounded important. "A master...like Master Xehanort and Master Yen Sid then?" she gasped, looking at the book. If she could become a master, then maybe she could return her world to what it once was. Maybe Crystallis could come back and Ananta could live peacefully for the rest of her life. Staying home and helping her mother and grandmother. What she wouldn't give to go back to the way things used to be. "What I wouldn't give, to go back to living my life the way I lived it once before. I'd trade this keyblade if I could be back on my world and not have a care for anything. I'd love that." she sighed, staring at the book. She closed her eyes for naught but a moment before she heard yelling from behind her. Standing up, she looked to see Dewey was yelling and running about, like his he had seen a horrible event happen. "Something's wrong. I can feel it." Ananta commented, noting how things didn't seem so bright anymore. She looked at Kross, confused by his words. "How? It's pretty easy if one of them...wait..." she stopped speaking, thinking. "What if one of the bad guys is actually a person from this world? Or what if they tortured Mizu...!" she gasped, gritting her teeth and turning to Kross. "Alright, we gotta hurry. We can't let them get away or hurt anyone!" she said, grabbing his hand and running off with him.
Ananta waited for R to begin the process. Holding hands with Anta and Kross, she did not close her eyes like many others had. She watched as the black beam shot at each person's body and chest. "Anta, close your eyes." she said to her son. Looking at Anta, she saw he had closed his eyes just before the beam shoot through his crystal and chest, his heart emerging from it. Ananta watched as everyone else had their hearts ripped from their bodies. Every person floated there as their hearts floated towards the source of the beams in the middle. Ananta was last, looking determined at the beam that shot at her crystal and pierced her body. The last thing she remembered seeing was her heart, drifting towards the place with the rest. Opening her eyes as she floated down an endless ocean. Her eyes were fixated on a stained glass platform underneath her. She saw herself, curled up with a picture of the Mother Crystal in the middle of a circle with pictures of her dearest friends. Kross, Eon, Dawn, Dusk, Anta, and Karina's faces were there. There was a picture of her world behind even this circle, that focused on the park at the base of the Mother Crystal. Readjusting herself as she made it close to the platform, she landed and looked around at the others. They were all approaching a door of their choosing. Anta was just walking through his door. Kross was nowhere in sight. It was just Ananta now. Stepping towards the doors that appeared in front of her, Ananta looked at each one. Sword, staff, shield. "I'm a Mystic, so I'll choose...staff." she said, stepping forward as the door opened in front of her. Closing her eyes to the bright light, she stood stood in a room, devoid of anything but white walls and floor. Letters and words began to appear in front of her, creating a riddle. At the bottom, a symbol blinked and a keyboard appeared, prompting her to input an answer. Ananta walked towards the floating words. In the end you will wonder At my feet you have blundered In the beginning you did laugh As if I was a gaff But lo and behold Weeping and crying Did not stop the shaft Blinking at the puzzle, she scoffed. "This one isn't too hard." she said, looking at the keyboard. Her fingers tapped at the letters, spelling out her answer. "Death." she mimicked her answer, pressing enter. The puzzle seemed to accept her answer and soon disappeared, revealing a door that lead out of the area. Ananta stepped into the door and closed her eyes, the bight light stung. Anta closed his eyes and gasped as he felt a sharp pain in his chest. His mom didn't want him to see what was going on, but he could imagine it. His grip on her hand and the person next to him loosened as he felt his body lighten. Opening his eyes once more, he was staying up at a bright blue light far above him. His body rolled over and he looked down. A platform beneath him appeared as light spread across it. It revealed a picture of him curled up. Behind him was a circle that had the faces of Dawn, Dusk, Ananta, Beuce, and two circles were hidden behind him. Behind that circle was a view of a tree that he used to sleep under. The Mother Crystal was in the distance, behind some buildings. He landed on the platform and looked around. His mother wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Mom?" he called out. None of the others seemed to be listening, or rather, they couldn't hear him at all. In front of him, three doors appeared. Looking at the doors, he came to his own conclusion. 'The sword must mean strength, the wand probably meant smarts, and the shield means protection. I guess.' he thought. Closing his eyes, he spun around in place and stopped, pointing his arm at the shield door. 'Well, I've always wanted to protect people. Especially Dawn...' he trailed off, shaking his head. Stepping towards the door, he looked to see a platform appeared next to him. Looking up, he saw his mother floating down. 'Good luck.' he thought, grabbing the door handle and walking in. His eyes closed at the sudden change into a bight light. His eyes opened again to see he was in his home. Shaking his head, Anta looked to see the study room door was open and a fire was crackling inside. The smell of a cigar wafted through the air as he approached. Knocking on the door as he entered, he heard a voice that was one he missed dearly. "Come in, my son." he said, blowing a puff of smoke into the air. Anta kept stepping in, approaching a large chair staring at the fire. The chair turned to reveal it was his father, Beuce, speaking to him. He wore a dark red robe with a purple ascot tucked in. He had dark blue pants underneath the robe and loafers on his feet. A bottle of wine and glass half empty was sitting on a table with matches and a cigar case. "I've been wanting to tell you something. Something important." he said, sucking on the cigar and blowing smoke at Anta. "I've never liked you. Never liked your mother either. Could have had a better life. But look, I died because of you and your mother. Neither of you tried to stop this. And here I am, stuck in limbo, smoking cheap cigars and drinking rotten wine while wearing a cheesy father's attire." he grumbled. Anta couldn't believe what he was hearing. "But, dad, you loved mom. You said it to her every day! And you always had time to play with me. You said you loved me too!" he retorted, stamping a foot. "I tried my best to protect you and mom! I really did! It's not my fault you died, it really isn't!" he said, tears stinging the corner of his eyes. "You just...appeared and...then...a younger you killed you...I didn't want you to die...I really didn't." he sobbed, hiccuping and wiping his eyes. "Don't lie, I read your diary. There were some words about me you wrote that I don't like" "It's a diary I write in when I get angry. Of course there's bad things in it!" "Then what about that time when you smashed that vase?" "it was an accidental keyblade swing, you know that!" "Then what-" "Stop!" he yelled out, holding his hands in front of him. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't protect you, dad. I really am. But you're gone now, I can't bring you back. None of us can. And mom's moving on. I think. I don't know. Anyway, yeah, you were my dad, but to be honest, I didn't really like how sad and unhappy you were. I sort of think you're happier now that you're dead. So please, don't say mean things to me. I know they're not true. I'm sorry, I should have protected you better. But I've found somebody else to protect and I will protect her, I will. Sorry dad, I have to go. I've got a big bad guy to defeat. Have fun in limbo." he waved, looking to see the door he entered was back and it seemed to be leading out into another bright light. Anta stepped towards it, the study began to melt away as he walked through the door, eyes closed.
Ananta sat at a table and looked around the library while Kross looked at the books. If Master Xehanort hadn't done this, then why would Vanitas make such bold moves? Perhaps it's a cover up. Perhaps he's feigning innocence in the whole thing? But who was Ananta to sit here and suspect him of anything. She was a fresh keyblade wielder, she'd only started using it some odd months ago. Maybe even a year, considering they don't keep clocks or calendars around. "If it wasn't Master Xehanort, then who gave Vanitas the idea to go and do such things? Why would he actively search for accomplices? It just doesn't make a lot of sense. What made Vanitas be so evil..." she sighed, turning to see Kross had started to head towards the table she was at. He sat down on it, the table barely moved an inch, and he looked at her with a tiny frown. "Don't know if we'll win, Kross, but we may as well try, right?" she said, frowning a little too. It's not that she meant only a few of them could fight the big bad guys, it's that she meant they would need to all work together to take down the final enemy. "Karina may be strong, but her defense is lacking. She really needs to learn to block attacks sometimes." Ananta said, sighing and crossing her arms. "I know that Kross, but what else can we do but hope and believe at this point?" she said, her eyes resting on the book on the table. "What's this book? 'Mark of Master'? What's that?" she asked.
Ananta watched as Kross rubbed his neck and seemed to be okay again. When he reassured her that he was fine, Ananta took caution not to mess with his neck again. She really didn't want to hurt him, considering they needed everyone to be in tip top shape for any and all fights they would face in the near future. Things were getting serious and now wasn't a time to hurt your comrades. Although, thinking of that, reminded Ananta of the training grounds that many of the others had run off to. They were over there, fighting each other and training. Yes, that helped them in the long run, but hopefully none of them got too hurt. If anything, Ananta could help the ones that were hurting the worst. Ananta was pretty proficient in healing magic, she has training in it for a long time. Although, she only knows a few spells, she hopes to someday be able to know more spells. Kross began to explain what Master Yen Sid had told him. "Why would Master Xehanort do this? He's no a bad guy. I mean, I haven't met the guy, so I have no experience with him. But if he's a master, he can't be such a bad guy....right?" she said, crossing her arms. As they entered the room, Ananta took a gander at the shelves and terminals. Everything seemed to be swelling with information, Ananta was curious as to how they fit so much in such a small place. At least, it looked small to her. Kross mentioned this was his duty. His duty was to investigate Master Xehanort and why Nequa, Aux, and Vanitas were going around and messing up worlds. "Kross, I don't understand, why can you be the only one to do this? Can't others help you? I hope you don't think you have to do this all alone. You have comrades who can and will help if you ask. Don't worry about asking me, I've already made up my mind to help you." she said, placing her hands on her hips. "With our magic, we can do a lot of stuff. You can fight, I can heal, we'll be really powerful." she smiled, laughing heartily.
"An enigma should try and speak with his pupils more than speak riddles, honestly, but I understand I guess? He wants us to figure things out ourselves with the hints he's given us. Now that he's gone, we'll never get any new riddles or hints..." she seemed a little sullen, thinking about the possibility that Yen Sid is now gone. He was a gentle but firm guy, so now that he's gone, what will happen? How will they know what worlds need help? Those were all questions in Ananta's head. "What three jerks?" she asked Kross, having heard him express wanting to learn about them. She only knew of Nequa. If there were more like Nequa, then she wasn't really prepared for that. But it didn't matter, she wanted to take down Nequa and that's that. She'll do anything even put Nequa in her place. After everything she did, she had the gall to laugh at Ananta's attempts to give her some pain. There was nothing she could do at this time. Probably never, for that matter, but it didn't matter, she wanted Nequa to pay for everything. She took Mizu AND excalibur. How was that world going to survive now? What's gonna happen to Wart? More questions flooded Ananta's mind as she pulled Kross along in a neck hold. Halfway through walking, Ananta realized that maybe Kross wasn't comfortable. "Oh my god, I'm sorry, I got lost in thought and I didn't mean to keep my arm around your neck so long!" she said, apologizing to him and checking his neck to make sure it was alright. She even cast a cure spell on his neck, to maybe counteract the pain she inflicted. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry, I don't want to hurt you. I promise!" she said, frowning, continuing to fret other the situation.
Ananta listened to Kross intently. His speech was pretty good for the common language not being his first language. In any case, she listened as he said his name in his language. "Sounds pretty." she said, looking at his arm tattoo. She hadn't really noticed it until he mentioned it and she took a close look at it. "It looks beautiful." she said, staring at the tattoo. It was simple, but that's what she liked about it. Ananta didn't like very intricate designs, she would prefer something be plain and basic. But at times, she would be fine with something being intricate. If the occasion demands it, at least. "I don't even know anything about the keyblade. Mostly because I wasn't able to ask anyone about it before. Master Yen Sid wasn't very talkative either, from what I understand. He seemed to talk cryptically too. But maybe that's just me." she chuckled, standing up. "I guess we better watch out for each other, being minorities and all." she jabbed at him, making a playful punch at his arm. Looking over, she saw Hikaru return and start to talk with Kaida. She noticed his exchange with her, being pretty bashful and giving her an item. As Kross stood up, Ananta turned back to Kross and smiled. "You know, those two over there look like a cute couple, huh? Wish I had somebody like that. Somebody I could depend on, I mean." she said, placing her hands behind her head and smiling at Kross. "But I guess that'll happen someday, right? Anyway, Hall of Records is where we're supposed to go. C'mon." she said, swinging an arm over Kross' shoulder and sort of forcing him to follow along with her.
Let's see what the weirdest picture I get for typing Krowley and Crowley into google images. Spoiler: Oh god
Ananta tilted her head as Kross spoke in his world's language. "Your world has a different language than the common one?" Ananta said, smiling a bit. "My world had a different language too...once used ages ago, before the common language became predominant. Now, only the sages use it regularly enough to speak it. In some cases, sages and their underlings and their successors will have full conversations using only the language. Take for example you say 'magic is everywhere, just know where to look' and it can roughly be translated to..." she stopped to think for a moment. "Nakik is...ipilioaxaili... ia..ost...kno-oa oaxaili...to lo-ok..." she cleared her throat. At the same time, she had written down the sentence to show Kross what it would look like written and so one could see it was pronounced differently than the way it was written. "in my language, my name is pronounced "Aahnoaahnotiaah"...a mouthful, really, so my mother just said my name in the common language...usually." she sighed, thinking about it all. She still had a bit to go before she could speak sentences with confidence in her world's language, but for now she could only think of how to say things. She then thought about the rest of the things Kross had said to her. She responded to him questioning about the natural things and chuckled. "On my world, we don't have a sun or moon. Technically, we don't even know if it's night or day most of the time if it were not for our clocks. The Mother Crystal is very bright." she said, holding onto her crystal. "And everything springs from her water that's full of energy. So, everything on my world is made of energy. Even me. We can recover energy either from the Mother Crystal, our main source, or from other people by converting their mana to energy. Although it doesn't give as much." she said, tapping her crystal. Kross mentioned someone named Aux. He made it seem like Aux and Nequa were quite strong and could possibly be related somehow. Perhaps together in the same organization or something. "I have a feeling Nequa and Aux are both working for the big bad guy. They both were really strong from the sound of it." she grumbled, grabbing another energy from her pocket. Munching on it, she heard Kross' question. 'Why did you want to be a wielder?' he asked. Taking a hard bite out of the energy bar, she frowned. "I didn't ask to be a wielder. It was forced onto me when I watched my world crumble. I don't know who did it, but at the end, my parents both died. From dark beings I guess. When I went to the Mother Crystal, Elder Anta was standing beside the Mother Crystal and told me I had a power to wield keyblades, and I fell. I passed out and appeared in the Castle of Dreams, still clutching the keyblade. I got up and left the castle I was in front of and found a carriage being attacked by creatures. So I helped and well...that's all history." she said, finishing the energy bar. "Did the same happen to you or did you know you could wield one for awhile? I seem to be a minority around here, lots of people had theirs for a bit before they left or were asked to help Master Yen Sid. I didn't get a letter or at least didn't know I had one..." Ananta trailed off, crumpling the wrapper to the energy bar.
Why am I here, I am no whore.
At least then they wouldn't be on the homepage.
If I had the money I would. And a PS3.
Or maybe stop normal members from posting threads in the news forum...
Why wouldn't they be high quality if they came from the soundtrack? That's what I'm talking about. :P
