Gonna leave this open so you can reply to your last few questions @hatok, lemme know when you're done and I'll lock this badboy up. Hope you enjoyed your QT~
Hey, welcome to the site! My name is Plums, although I don't think I'm quite the Plums you're speaking about since I'm not a school counselor (yet!). If you have any questions about the site, feel free to contact me or another of the lovely rainbow assorted staff. Hope you enjoy your stay! :]
Question Time with... Karuta! A couple of guidelines before you begin.. 1 - Keep it within the rules of the forum, nothing over PG-13. This is still KHV, which means that you must not use this thread as an excuse to berate or harass the Question Time participant. That being said... 2 - ...The Question Time participant does not have to answer all of the questions. 3 - The Question Time participant must maintain some level of activity within this thread. Don't leave all of your questions unanswered. You're in the spotlight, baby, so shine! 4 - Give the Question Time participant some time to answer, and let others have a chance to ask. Remember that they are in the spotlight for at least one week, so do not feel the need to barrage him/her with a lengthy list of questions all at once. And now that you have read the rules, you may ask away!~ @Karuta
I wouldn't be surprised if they released it on the 3DS or as a downloadable on PSN/Xbox Store. If Square is trying to do yearly KH releases along with FF, it's possible we could see a port of Dream Drop Distance to PS4/XBO and Chi going to one of the above venues. I'd probably bank on them both going to PS4 if they do ever get re-released, since the touchpad should work well with the Dream Eaters/Reality Shifts, and Chi could utilize the multiplayer features (if there are any in the browser version, I don't know, lol) But I'd very much like a localized version of Chi since apparently it's going to be relevant despite Nomura promising it was 'no biggie' v:
This was my fault. ;c I had fallen asleep while in the process of uploading the file to the radio last night, and only woke up about an hour ago. If it'd be alright with you, I can let you have your show in tomorrow's timeslot (or whichever one you'd prefer). Super sorry again for this happening. :C
My wakeup music throughout senior year of high school was: Part of it because it got me pumped, part of it also because it pretty much captured how I felt about high school by that point. 8')
Try to crop and stuff in imgur, save, then open it in paint and save it from there.
Vote vote vote. What is Question Time? Note: Mixt in danger of removal for lack of votes! iwantedtoexplode in danger of removal from last week's save! Karuta and Laplace added to the poll! read this new information on how removals in the poll will work
I JUST NOTICED THIS and i am Upset
I believe it may have something to do with what program you saved it with or how you saved it. I used the avatar you uploaded here and it did have the same issue, however when I uploaded and saved it in Photoshop as a new file, I was not able to replicate the problem.
It's a weird mix of all three to me, though imo the empowering aspects, while certainly not canceling out the more problematic scenes, do end up shining much more as a whole. From the creators standpoint, they said in an interview at the Anime Expo that they weren't purposefully saying anything about sexuality through the show (nor was it anything to do with post-war Japan as someone else asked). I read this somewhere, and am searching for the link now. Anyway, I could see why the Kamui themselves and the overall sexual nature of the show can be exploitative; Senketsu's introduction had overtones of sexual assault (which, can be explained as Senketsu/Junketsu not having had blood for years and only just awakening, as we see Junketsu literally try to drain Satsuki the minute it arises, but it's still very sketchy and a disservice to his character for those who only watched the first three episodes and only view him as the Sexual Assault Cloth), and similarly the gags that Mako's dad & her brother do on peering into Ryuko and the shot of Ryuko unconscious with Mako's brother/dad shadowed over and grinning are definitely unnecessary. There's also, forspoilers later on, Ragyo's sexual abuse of Satsuki, which Satsuki never reacts to or really acknowledges. The only time her safety in that regard was brought up to her was Soroi back in episode 6 when Satsuki visited Ragyo to explain why she took Junketsu out. The Elite 4 even had more of a recation than she did when Ragyo took her captive and kept her in a basement nude and battered for a whole month. I dunno, I'd feel a lot better about the Ragyo stuff if the creators focused on that aspect of Satsuki's hell beneath Ragyo as they did her main motivations for rebellion. Even if Satsuki is hardened as much as she is, there has to be some part of her that feels something strong towards that abuse. At the very least they showed Ryuko react to it quite lividly, but still. If they wanted to show Satsuki was powerless to her mother, the producers could have either showed her react to this or just have made Ragyo only physically abusive without the incestual sexual abuse.. On the other hand, I do think that the "get naked" speech and Satsuki's speech about the Kamui do end up being pretty empowering. Ryuko's held back in the first three episodes due to her embarrassment of wearing Senketsu; she's brought to almost 'bearing it all,' and has most of the students (males and even Mako on occasion) leering after her.* When Satsuki transforms, the male students do blush and have nosebleeds, but the aura is still professional and they clap out of respect; Satsuki is in command of both herself and thus the way other people see her. Even the shots of Satsuki, while still sexual in nature, emphasize her as this towering figure, of this person who demands your respect and will get it. That's what Satsuki's speech came across as to me; that she doesn't (nor should Ryuko) give a damn about what she's wearing or who is staring, that the Kamui is her tool, it's her way of seizing power and using it as she pleases. She doesn't concern herself with how she looks in it, because the important thing to Satsuki Kiryuin and to everyone else is Satsuki Kiryuin. And I think this does help to inspire Ryuko to bring the focus and demand the attention onto herself rather than what she looks like. I don't think it a coincidence from this point onward that there is hardly anymore leering from men aimed at her and even when it does happen again in Episode 9, Ryuko doesn't even notice it and just goes back to fighting with Gamagoori, at which point the male leering stops as soon as it began. I can go into why I (and the characters) think the Kamui themselves are, but that will dive into plot heavy spoilers, lol. *Although, I do think there could've been more effort made to make us sympathize with her conflict more, as the way it played out did make it feel as though she was at fault for this setback rather than the males who are actively leering at her figure.
The boxart looks so goooooooooooooooooooooood. ;~; Even if everyone does look weirdly young, I like it just as much as the 1.5 boxart. That's a Keyblade from Re:Coded that you're awarded upon completing the game, iirc.
Given that I am both heteroromantic and heterosexual, I'd be fine dating a transsexual woman provided she had already finished physically transitioning. While I am open to having relationships without sexual/physical activities, it's very likely that I'd eventually be more inclined towards ones with it, and I am very turned off by male genitalia. In the long run though, I'd imagine that I would likely end up marrying a cis woman due to wanting to have children outside of adoption, selfish as that may be.
Ping Pong the Animation
Watched last week's Korra episodes Pacing was kinda awkward between 4 and 5, but goddamn I have been feeling this Book so far. It's still too early to say definitively this is the best Book of Korra, as the last few episodes are often where the Great Plot Fumble begins, but it's going well so far. plus i want to marry suyin
I saw the TFiOS movie. rip my feelings
