"Cal."

There was a voice stirring her from her slumber. She yawned and stretched. Cal rubbed the backs of her hands on her eyes, blinking the sleepiness away. She sat up in bed and looked to see Soren and Anna waiting. "Soren?" she asked in a daze.

He looked nervous. "I have a way out but it might be dangerous. I...I need you to say you'll agree to it."

Her features tightened and she looked hesitant, but nodded slowly. "Of course I agree. I said I wanted to go." She pulled herself out of bed and glanced around. Mali and Caius were gone. Cal stepped behind the divider to change quickly. "We need the others so that we can go right away. I don't want to stay here longer than we need to."

    "Hello?"

Lu turned in the shadows at the sound of the voice. A dark smile stretched across her face and she moved silently forward, kneeling down in front of the boy. "Good morning Adam." she greeted coldly. Her slender fingers wrapped around his arm and she dug her nails into his skin as she pulled the teen to his feet. "So glad we could get a moment together before the others started to wake up. I've missed our quality time together Adam." Lu pushed him forward and mist wrapped around them until they were outside in the light. The bindings stayed in place, but she released him at the edge of the step.

"Are you enjoying your time with your little friends, because it's just about over now." She tilted her head to the side and licked her her botom lip in anticipation.

LEON RECEIVED LITTLE SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE. HE WOKE TIRED AND WEARY. WITH A HEAVY SIGH, HE ROLLED OUT OF BED AND PULLED HIS SHOES ON QUICKLY, HAVING NOT CHANGED BEFORE SLEEPING. THEY NEEDED TO LEAVE. THEY WERE ALL IN DANGER STAYING HERE ANY FURTHER. NOT TO MENTION, THERE WERE OTHER ANGELS TO FIND. HE MADE HIS WAY OUT OF THE DESTROYED HOTEL QUICKLY AND SAT DOWN ON THE GROUND BESIDE THE SPOT WHERE HAY SUN HAD BEEN BURNED. HE DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE IT -- LEAVE HER. WHAT OTHER CHOICE DID HE HAVE? HE WOULD FIND HER SOON. WHEN ALL THIS WAS OVER, HE WOULD GO LOOKING FOR HER AGAIN. WAS THAT HOW HE WOULD SPEND HIS ENTIRE EXISTENCE -- ALWAYS SEARCHING FOR URIEL?

HE HOPED NOT. LEON SCOOPED UP A HANDFUL OF DIRT FROM THE SPOT WITH SCORCH MARKS AND RAN IT THROUGH HIS FINGERS. HE WANTED TO KEEP THIS. HIS FINGER DUG THROUGH THE DIRT, TRAILING SYMBOLS WHEREVER HIS HAND WENT. THEY WERE PROTECTION AND GUIDANCE RUNES. HOPEFULLY LIKE THIS, HE WOULD BE ABLE TO FIND HER EASIER. URIEL WAS OUT THERE SOMEONE, A NEWBORN WAITING TO BE AWOKEN ONCE MORE.

Marina watched as two others joined Kuru and herself -- Asterion and Ursa. She liked him for the simple fact that he had been Casey's player. Poor Casey. Greetings, psychic Mari, so nice to see you. Her greeted with a bow.

She forced a small on her face. Asterion, she replied curtly with a nod. He was the only one that really referred to her by that name. It gave her both a sense of nostalgia and remorse. Casey was a kind soul and did not deserve to be ripped apart. Being unexisted was the most horrifying thing she had ever experienced. Never did she want to go through that again, even if she hated it here.

Rising, Asterion turned to the other two and gave them a smile. And nice to see you two as well. he greeted the others before turning back to Marina. Asterion crossed his arms leaned in closer. so how are you feeling today? Nervous?

Now was not the time to show signs of anxiety. She needed to contain herself. She was calculating once before, she could be it again. It was time to strategize. Marina collected herself and smiled sweetly. I am well. As for nerves -- She was interrupted by the entrance of a certain alcoholic Valen.

The pink - haired Valen with the ever so constant air of inebriation sat down beside her. Marina scowled briefly, before tugging the corners up her lips upwards into a tight - lipped smile. So you are the one who recently achieved immortality, is it? She began, taking three or four bottles of water out of her purse and placed them gently on a nearby table.

    I am,

It is a shame you have to come here. It has been a while, but everyone here doesn't know a good time when they see one, hun. Sangria flicked her wrist and the first bottle of water turned into a pale rose. She grabbed it and uncapped the top, sipping it tenderly, before quietly placing it down. From what she had come to gather at the various social gatherings, Sangria was a talker. That would be both annoying and an advantage. Right now, it was just simplying obnoxious. Tastes like water. I'm not surprised that I can't form a good brew when all this dirty negation is ****ing everything up, huh? Try a little, will you? You look tense as a board, dear. She flicked her wrist and the second bottle of water turned into an even paler rose liquid, giving it to Marina. Marina pushed the bottle aside. She eyed the bottles skeptically, unwilling to fall under any of the other Valen's spells right before the start of her game. Marina needed a clear mind. I made it extra weak just for you. We don't want our coordinator ... shall we say, keeling over, do we? Hehe. She winked and leaned back in the chair, taking off her sunglasses and holding the frames to her scarlet lips. Not like I have a chance to make anything that strong here anyway ... and you folks needed water, right hun?

She was starting to tune the alcoholic out when she mentioned something allowing herself to exist. Sangria looked to Marina after winking or something at Asterion. This [i[woman. She sighed. It takes quite a bit of willpower to achieve that, hun. I expect delicious things from such a lovely-looking fresh-meat coordinator. Ah ... it almost hurts to say I couldn't see you in action through my own pawns! She giggled. But then I wouldn't be able to pursue my own enterprises. We Valens do have lives, you know. She took another swig of the weak wine. It's why we decide to play games like these. God can only divide paradise in a certain way, you know. Beats me if I knew the reason why, hun.

Was she going to be done any time soon? Marina did not care to listen to Sangria any further. She was boring her and the woman felt the need to push her 'alcohol' onto her. She is the Coordinator, not a drunkard. There was a faint air of curiosity as to whom Sangria had chosen for pawns, but not enough to ask. She would rather not know. The few that had openly expressed their distaste for her winning because their pawn lost was enough. Most of the things Sangria spoke of were all just a repeat of what she had been told upon arriving anyway. Sangria placed the bottle in front of Marina, next to the weak rosy wine. Still weak, but you might like vodka instead. You'll definitely need something strong and sensory-depriving to survive in this cut-throat place, dear.

Marina pursed her lips. I know what I like and I do not need your help or magic alcohol to get me by. She was sick of this woman. She took a moment's reprieve in the fact that Sangria got up and walked away, only to return by her side a moment later. Marina looked exasperated.

Don't tell me you're nervous about this little game, are you? she repeated Asterion's question.

I need not be nervous. It is the rest of you that should be. Marina replied bluntly. She brushed a lock of hair out of her face and felt relieved when Sangria became engrossed in conversation with others. The room was filling up. Things would be starting soon. She was thankful for that. Marina was tired of waiting. She had been waiting since the moment she unfroze -- before then even. Her mind started swirling and flashing back to the letter in her dress -- the way tears fell and her hand shook as she wrote. The loneliness left her feeling a void. It was not until Kuru's voice rang out in her ears did she return back to the moment.

So if you can help me out lil miss, then we might have somethin. said Kuru, rather full of herself.

She set her hands down flat on the table and rose to her feet. I neither need your help, nor do I plan on giving you any. With an expressionless look on her face, her blue eyes flicked from person to person. A good number had already arrived, but there were a few key players yet to make their grand entrance. Marina let her lips turn up into a smile and run her hands over the front of her dress. Thank you to those of you that have already arrived. It is much appreciated. I do believe we should be starting soon, so just hold tight.

Anticipation was making her feel sick to her stomach. Marina was not sure how much longer she could last without throwing up. She had not been this nervous in a long while. The others would be joining her soon and she was about to give the greatest performance of her lifetime. Everything had to be perfect. Each detail needed to be exact. Her game would be the only one that mattered to her. She was only giving it one shot. Marina had little land and it was not worth fractioning it out. If she did lose, then that just meant she would no longer have a need to be around these other people. That part never seemed so bad. No longer would she have to have anything to do with these damned games. That actually seemed like the best part. If she lost, then her life could receive a means of normalcy. This was no way to live.

Her shaking hands twisted around her most recent letter. She wrote one every day -- or what seemed like days. It was hard to tell time in this place. She was never one for journals or diaries, but the letters have been a way for her to catalog her time spent here. As time passed further, more guilt and loneliness set in. She did not know how to spend her time in this foreign place. They all expected her to be like the rest of them -- enjoying the fact that she won. She could not. Marina despised this place. She only went to gatherings out of obligation and socialized with the men when it was convenient for her. As much as the Valen liked to think they were better than one another, it did not really take her much prying to figure out some of their secrets.

Marina's own secrets were few. These monsters had plenty of time to learn every detail that made her clock tick before she even did. She needed to make some serious game changes so that they could no longer read her. While aspects of her personality remained the same, she withdrew from her desire to be the center of attention and withdrew to the life of a moderate recluse. This life was not for her, but that did not mean she would let it destroy her. She could play their silly games in an attempt to get what she wanted -- who she wanted.

At the sound of footsteps, she folded up the letter and slipped it in her dress. She straightened out at the sight of Kuru entering the room. It was beginning. Soon, they would all arrive. The curtains would draw. The show would begin. All the pieces would be set in place. Now was the time for no more anxiety. She had to do the best she could to give the others a show just as good as her predecessor. Marina could not compare to Crestatia, but she would try.

ONE MINUTE SHE WAS THERE AND THE NEXT SHE WAS DEAD. HE FAILED. HE FAILED ENTIRELY. LEON DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE OTHERS WERE MISSING. HE WAS A FAILURE. SHE LOST HER HAND BECAUSE OF HIM AND NOW SHE WAS DEAD. HE WAS USELESS AND TROUBLESOME AND THIS NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF IT HADN'T BEEN BECAUSE OF HIM.

HE HELD HER IN HIS ARMS, NOT LETTING GO. VOICES SOUNDED AROUND HIM, BUT LEON WAS TOO INCOHERENT TO UNDERSTAND ANY OF IT. HE BURIED HIS GOLDEN FACE INTO THE CROOK OF HER NECK. LONG BLACK HAIR SHROUDED HIS FACE AND HE BREATHED IN HER SCENT, TEARS STINGING HIS CHEEKS. HAY SUN. URIEL WAS GONE, AGAIN. URIEL WAS ALWAYS SLIPPING THROUGH HIS FINGERS. HE COULDN'T KEEP DOING THIS. ALL HE WANTED WAS TO FINALLY BE WITH URIEL AND WHOMEVER THE ARCHANGEL WAS HOSTED BY.

HIS ARMS TIGHTENED AROUND HER TORSO AND HE KISSED HER CHEEK LIGHTLY. SHE WAS GONE. HE SNIFFLED AND LOOKED UP WITH BLURRY EYES. "WE HAVE TO - WE HAVE TO BURN HER. SHE NEEDS A FUNERAL PYRE. I JUST -- I CAN'T DO IT." HE LOOKED TO SAM AND RICHARD, THE ONLY OTHER TWO CAPABLE OF PRODUCING PROPER FIRE. HE COULDN'T HANDLE IT AND WHEN IT WAS OVER, HE WAS DONE FOR FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT, WEARILY FALLING ASLEEP.

"One fly, two fly, the spider gets a snack. Hmm ... How many bugs can I catch in my web?" Lu let the mist disappear into the shadows, wrapped in the ancient souls. It didn't take long for her mist webs to spin their ways around others from the shadows when she felt a tug and knew that there were a few Fallen on the other end. "Alistair finish up. You're going to need your rest." When the shapes were pulled through the shadows and presented in front of her, a dark smile spread on her lips.

"What a successful catch of the day. Too bad there aren't more, but this will do for now." The mist was coiled around their bodies and one sleeping spell later, they were no trouble for her. Things were about to get a whole lot more interesting.

Hey all, just posting an interest check here. It's for a House of Night roleplay.

For those of you that do not know what House of Night is, it is a series of books about a vampire academy. Now, this is going to be original and does not follow the plot of the House of Night books at all. There will be aspects of it that are similar, like the setting, curriculum, and history; but the overall plot is irrelevant. @cstar and I will be the GM's and we don't want all that light/dark, evil/good, vampire/raven-people/gods/angel, bull - honky that makes up HoN. No prior knowledge of the books will be necessary since this will be entirely original.

Basically, it's going to be a vampire academy based roleplay. You'll go through the days of a student learning about the vampire world and preparing for the biggest change of your life -- becoming a vampire, or dying.

Just looking to see if anyone is interested.

Um, okay, so I was working with the table coding as well, but my problem is unrelated to Amauary's. Currently the Line Break coding [ br][ /br] does not work. When you submit the post, the coding disappears from sight, as if it would work, [[ but is of course still there in the editor ]] but there's no break. It just continues to be a wall of text. So if I wanted text with a border split into multiple paragraphs, I am not getting the paragraphs portion. Even with the code in place it just ends up like this:

THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST PARAGRAPH.
THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH. THIS SHOULD BE A SECOND PARAGRAPH.

THERE WERE STRANGE NOISES AND LEON LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW TO SEE DEMONS RISING FROM THE GROUND AND DRIFTING OUT OF THE SHADOWS. HIS KEEN ANGELIC SIGHT ALLOWED FOR HIM TO SEE THE APPARITIONS OF SOULS APPEARING AND LATCHING ONTO UNSUSPECTING HUMANS. HIS FINGERS WRAPPED AROUND CONTEGO AND HIS PARTNER SHIFTED INTO A SWORD. THEY BURST THROUGH THE DOORS AND LEON STEPPED IN FRONT OF SAL -- EVEN IF HE SUSPECTED THERE WAS SOMETHING GOING ON WITH HIM AND HAY SUN -- TO DEFEND HIM. THEY NEEDED TO GET OUT OF THERE. "THE DOORS!!" HE SHOUTED. DEMONS FLOODED IN AND RICHARD AND BRANDON RUSHED FORWARD, WEAPONS BLAZING. THERE WAS A FLASH OF LIGHTNING, FOLLOWED BY THE INDISCERNIBLE SIGHT OF THE MISTS OF HELLFIRE.

KAI STILL WASN'T WIELDING HIS WEAPON, BUT HE RUSHED OUT WITH SAL. SEEING THEM LEAVE, HE LET CONTEGO SHIFT BACK INTO A SWORD AND USED IT TO THRUST INTO THE FACE OF A HELLHOUND. IT WHIMPERED AND ROARED BEFORE TURNING TO MIST AND DISAPPEARING. HIS GOLDEN EYES SEARCHED FRANTICALLY FOR URIEL, NOT WANTING TO LEAVE WITHOUT HAY SUN. WHEN THEY FOUND THE ASIAN BEAUTY, HIS CHEST TIGHTENED. "HAY SUN GO!" HE RUSHED FORWARD AND SLICED WITH HIS SWORD AS HE MADE HIS WAY OUT OF THE HOTEL.

Souls began to possess those nearby and clusters

"You arrogant asshole, shoving all of your dirty work onto us!" Samuel snapped in a relatively calm manner. Danel rolled his eyes. It wasn't the first time he handed out dirty work that this bunch so diligently obeyed. "What, afraid you'll get yourself killed trying to off her, or are you hoping that will happen to us if we go to stop her?"

Danel shrugged looking indifferent as ever. "Please. I could care less if Lu kills me. No need to get so excited Sam. It's not like I broke my promise. I said no harm would come to Xathanael here. No one harmed her here. She was brought safely to Harbonah's room in the palace where she would have remained just fine had you not pulled that stunt."

"Get to the point Danel. Your time freeze is wearing off and so is our patience." Ariel chimed in.

"I'm just saying it's an opportunity for us all to work together towards a unified goal is all. We need Temeluchas gone and so do you. Would you rather have one enemy, or two? Think about it." He saluted before disappearing.

Danel watched them go with a sigh. If this was how she was going to play, it was time to offer her up to those that wanted her most. As long as it meant he didn't have to do anything, Danel was all right with that. He arched his back, stretching the sore muscles and rubbed at his bruised face. He didn't exactly look fit for appearances, but there wasn't much for him to do about it at this moment in time. Mist swirled at his ankles, wrapping around him like a blanket. He sighed and fully extended his wings as it cleared outside of a hotel.

    FREEZE.

The doors flew open and the large group stood in the lobby. The humans around them were frozen in time. Mortals were so easily manipulated by time freezes. He gave them all a strained smile, only to receive dirty looks by many. Danel held up his hands in a sign of surrender to show he meant them no harm. "Relax. I just come with good news is all. I'll be out of your hair in no time." His dark eyes landed on Adam before shifting to Joslyn, a dry smile spreading on his face. "How's that compass treating you?" he asked Joslyn haphazardly before turning back to everyone else.

"Temeluchas has been breaking and is unstable. She has 'gone rogue' as you would say and no longer works for our cause. While this may sound good to you, it isn't. She is acting only on her own behalf with no regard for anyone else. Yesterday she nearly wiped out all of Little Rock, Arkansas; stealing souls and burning buildings. That is only a taste of her power and it'll only get worse as time goes on. She isn't helping anyone but herself and it doesn't matter who gets rid of her, so long as she is out of the picture." He took a step back and slipped his hands into his front pockets. It was always a risky move to pop in on them, but after their last encounter Danel figured he had a few minutes before anyone would try to pull anything.

They moved through the mist quickly, but there was still enough time for Alistair to pop off an annoying as ever question. "Temeluchas, ... If I may ask... what are you planning? You do see awfully calm that Lucifer wants you dead..."

She smirked and the mist cleared. The air was cool and the sun was shining on them. Ancient stone layered the ground beneath their feet. A devilish grin spread on her face as she raised her arms to the Aztec pyramid behind her back. "I do not fear the Morning Star. He sits there on his skeletal throne looking intimidating while the rest of us do all the work. If anything he should fear me -- he does fear me. If he didn't fear that I would mess up his plans, which I am, he wouldn't be wanting to get rid of me. He sent Danel which was Lucifer's biggest mistake. Danel won't touch me." she said still smiling.

Lu cracked her knuckles over her head and turned to face the pyramid. "Now, as for our work, what we did yesterday was just a test. I presume you have been strengthening your bond with Azazel which will be helpful. What Harbonah did in England is child's play. She just allowed for a bunch of demons to crossover easier and possess the mortals. These grounds are riddled with ancient spirits and a goldmine for death. You are going to call on all those souls and raise these dead. No one gets to win but me, not Heaven or Hell. This is mine." She pointed to the ground. Tourists shuffled about per usual.

Her grin shifted darker and she snapped her fingers. Mist shot out and a large tree branch fell on an elderly man. He landed on his back with the heavy branch pinning him down. His wife screamed and knelt to his side, shouting for help. Lu laughed and turned to Alistair, pleased with herself. "You should get to it. We have more than just a city to wreak havoc on. We won't be returning to Hell any time soon, so get comfortable."

The blonde thumbed the locket around her neck. She glanced over at her half - twin - sister and just shook her head before turning her attention back to Anna. "Do you like my brother? I mean it's kind of obvious what he thinks. Soren's bad at subtlety." Cal blushed and sucked on her bottom lip. Anna lowered her voice so Mali couldn't hear, though Cal doubted that would stop Mali in the least bit. "Like-like?" Anna scooted closer. "I won't tell, but I want to know you aren't messing with him." She narrowed her eyes at Cal.

She suddenly felt like she was under interrogation. What was this? Cal swallowed and cleared her throat, tugging at the short ends of her blonde hair. "Well, um ..." she stammered, "I mean ... I like Soren. None of us really have any experience with anyone other than each other, but I like him. I would never mess with him Anna. I care about all of you." She set a hand on Anna's shoulder and smiled. "No matter what happens, I would never intentionally hurt any of you, especially Soren."

Cal tossed the sheets back and swung her legs off the bed. She got to her feet and pulled the folding divider in front of her person to change. "Anna, I think you should know that your brother is planning something," she said from behind the divider. Cal pulled the shirt over her head and smoothed it over her torso. She slid the divider aside and gave the raven - haired girl a wary look. "We're all going to leave," she announced.

"Why would you do something as stupid as that?" Mali asked from across the room, sitting up.

She shook her head and reseated herself on her bed. "We need to go Mali. We don't belong here and terrible things are starting to happen. We have to go." she urged her sister.

"Go where? What do you expect to be waiting for us out there?" Mali asked.

Cal stood silent for a moment, then remembered her talk with Alistair. "Alistair said --"

Mali burst out laughing. Somehow the mention of Alistair amused her.

Lu sat up in her bed and looked to see Alistair sitting across the room. She furrowed her brows and ran her fingers through her long brown hair. "Are you watching me sleep?" she asked him. Her blue eye blinked a few times and she threw back the bedsheets rising to her feet. With a snap of her fingers, Lu was dressed. She wore the same cashmere sweater and pleated skirt from when she first met Henrik. Her wings flapped lightly behind her back and she approached the man in the chair with her hands clasped behind her back. Lu leaned in, her face inches from his and she lifted his chin with the tip of her finger. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting long, Pet." They had much to do today -- worse than yesterday -- and she needed to get started immediately.

There was a knock at the door and Lu snapped her head in the other direction, looking dissatisfied. Everyone should know by now not to interrupt her when she was in her room. She marched to the door and it flew open. Danel was standing on the other side, taking off his ring. He looked at her with dark eyes and she groaned. "What do you want?" she asked in annoyance.

"Lu, you've gone pretty postal and he wants you gone." Danel warned.

"Please, I'm just getting started. Speaking of which, it's time for us to go." She grabbed Alistair and they disappeared.

Soren smiled at her and Anna began to snicker. Cal cleared her throat awkwardly. Apparently his twin could see right through them. "Hey..." He greeted her, turning towards his sister and coughing -- probably for the same reason she did. He motioned to Cal while facing Anna. "Anna has something to give you."

Her eyes widened. "Oh really?" she asked curiously. Cal had never received a present before -- unless a smokey rose that disappeared after a few moments counted.

"Actually, it's from Caius and I. It was his idea. I helped...a little." Anna corrected, stepping closer to Cal and placing the present beside her. This was awfully nice of them. She didn't do anything to deserve it. The small box was wrapped neatly with a white bow on it. The packaging was so pretty she almost didn't want to open it. "He wanted to thank you for looking out for him." Anna glanced to Soren and poked at his side. "And I thought I should thank you for keeping Soren from becoming more of a jerk."

"This really isn't ne -- " she started, only to be interrupted by the bickering twins.

    "Really? I'm not that bad."

"Not anymore. Especially since you two have been having fuuunnnn~" She teased in a sort of sing-song manner. Soren could only frown at his sister and shake his head. "Anyway, open it up Cal."

Cal's face burned as she held the package. Soren rolled his eyes and patted her shoulder, whispering that he would be back shortly. She wondered where he was going, but decided not to ask. She was also confused as to why Caius wasn't helping Anna give her the present when he helped with it. Her gaze shifted to his bed briefly to find it empty and it further confused her. She shrugged her shoulders and nearly choked on saliva at Soren's departing words. "Maybe I might not miss next time. Or not."

Her face turned beet red and she had to look away from Anna to compose herself before opening the present. She undid the ribbon and opened the small box to find a necklace inside with a locket for a pendant. Her red eyes widened and she ran the small metal object through her fingers. "This is lovely. Thank you Anna. I hope Caius comes back soon for me to thank him as well." Cal brushed her short hair out of the way and hung the necklace from around her neck, letting the locket fall flat against her chest. "Fits perfect," she said with a smile and a thumbs up. The door to the bedroom opened and Mali came strolling in. There was a smug expression on her face when she turned to see Cal and Anna at her bed. Her sister's black eyes fell on the locket and smirked.

"That's cute. Which boyfriend got you that?"

Cal narrowed her gaze at her half - twin - sister. "Shut up Mali. I don't have a boyfriend, let alone more than one."

Mali rolled her eyes and made her way back over to her bed, flopping down on her back.
