Milo turned his mask over in his hands as the report came in on the news about his perfect robbery. He grinned, turning off the tv. His colleagues were all laying low, except for "Green" who was now in a police body bag. Their escape from the bank was far from modest to say the least. A hole had but cut straight down through the bank's roof, which was not an easy feat as it took months of preparation in order to get it all done in under an hour. The structure was weakened and the roof was blown away with previously placed small explosives. None of their hostages became casualties which was a plus but it was not exactly a goal. Once the roof was in ruin "Supes" and "Aqua" (who were lucky enough not to need to wear masks) flew in on a helicopter, dropped some lines, and flew the surviving league out.

The man clasped his hands behind his back as he walked over to his window, staring down at the city below. Four million. That was their total pull from the heist. One for himself and three to split among the remaining five. Milo sat down in his chair with the perfect view and soon fell asleep knowing with absolute certainty he had made it away clean. All that was left was to snuff out his gang and claim the rest of his money.

    "What are you reading?"

Henrik looked up from his phone, putting it away, as he watched Iris come to sit by him. Between trying to train and the constant moving the group had been doing, it was difficult to keep up with any kind of news. He shook his head to try and dismiss Iris's question but she only responded by giving him a look of concern. "A bank was robbed back in Chicago. Given its scale, it's making international news."

    "Was anyone killed?"

"One of the thieves was killed by another in their gang. Some woman was shot in the leg too." It hardly seemed relevant to them given that they had more important things to deal with than heists but something in the back of his mind bugged him about it. Henrik believed that with what Lei had told them about their power, he was feeling on edge about it just because the criminals deserved to be punished. There was a second story going around about something in Arkansas but with so little details Henrik felt it best to not worry Iris about anything more. "Life goes on. It can be easy to forget that when we know what's coming."

"I know..." Iris didn't seem to be in the mood to talk any further so the couple turned in for the night after getting settled.

Soren allowed the rose to fade into thin air happy in knowing that Cal liked what he had done. He folded his arms and watched as Cal dipped her feet into the river wondering what was the worst that could happen by taking a swim in there. His curiosity died off when Cal said it would not be a good idea. He scratched the back of his head, thinking it over for a moment. It was true that they had no idea if it was really safe for them. "You're right."
She placed his hand on his shoulder as she pulled her feet out of the river. Soren smiled at her and looked at her hand, reaching over to take pull it off. "It was nice." He agreed. Soren hoped that Anna and Caius would be asleep by now so the two would not come searching for them for being gone so long. He stared down at Cal's hand in his own going quiet for a moment.

"We should do this again sometime." Soren scooted closer towards the girl and eyed her. A lot had changed since they first started getting to know each other. For one, picking on Cal turned into them doing something like this. Unsurprisingly, Anna had been right about why he had been acting that way towards the girl. He wouldn't admit being wrong to his sister but it was a good feeling. One of the only good feelings he ever had. If Soren had not begun to control his own anger he would have just thanked Cal for being with him and left. But even that had changed. The anger was still there but he felt something more than that. More than just a fondness for Cal.

Soren took a deep breath and moved closer to Cal, pausing as his free hand clenched his leg. It stung how cold his hand had become now it was going to betray him and show how nervous he really was. Soren leaned closer still to the blonde before touching his lips to hers briefly, pulling back to whisper quietly,
"Sorry. I missed your cheek." A quiet but almost forced laugh came. "No...I'm not sorry. I wanted to..."

Intervals would be a better word for it than tempo.

Anyways, that's just a keyboard. Probably a MIDI keyboard with some effects going through it given the year that game came out. Though, honestly, a MIDI keyboard could probably be used for all those instruments.

Anna shook her head at Caius's compliment, laughing to herself. "Thank you." The boy seemed to be glad upon hearing that Soren was not truly angry with him. She knew what kind of impression her brother had made and was happy that she could at least comfort Caius. She looked once more at the trinkets on Caius's bed when he offered to give the locket to Cal together. "Really?" She smiled at him and nodded quickly. "I'd like that." Anna picked up one of the pieces and held it up towards the boy. "Where would this go?" She asked, eager to help.

His eyes focused on the large marble doors even after Cal had pushed them open. He had rarely ever been this way and even then he had never put much thought to what was beyond these doors. He regretted never having gone through them until now. The River of Fire seemed to be the main source of light around the area, the flames appearing to have some kind of liquid quality as they actually flowed like water. Unlike Cal, Soren had never seen a river, he had never used the mirrors for such a purpose anyway. Cal knelt down and began to reach for the river. Soren quickly stretched out an arm to keep Cal from touching the fire, freezing when she only smiled as she dipped her fingers into the rolling flames.

He went over to kneel beside Cal as he held his own hand over the flames and rather than feeling searing heat there came a comforting warmth rising from the river. Soren had never imagined something so...nice could be in a place he hated so much. He brought his own hand into the flames and smiled back at Cal.
"I don't know anything about romance." He admitted, though Anna did once mention that girls liked flowers. There weren't any flowers around and he had only seen a picture of them once so he was unsure of how Anna could say something like that. There seemed to be nothing he could actually give her. Soren sat down and crossed his legs, an idea coming to mind. "But maybe there is something I can do."
Mist trailed down Soren's arm and condensed into the palm of his right hand. He closed his eyes as he visualized what he wanted to make, it had not been the first time he had created something with the mist, but it was the first time he tried anything like this. He opened his eyes to find that the mist had now begun to rise into jagged shapes as if they were broken shards of glass. Soren shook his head and willed the mist to flow closer to the center of his palm, rising into a stem as rounded petals began to take shape leaving a monochrome flower resting in his hand. Its form was not exactly stable as it continued to waver about as if it would dissipate at any moment. "I'm sorry I can't give you the real thing right now." Soren sighed and looked down at the river.

"Maybe we should take a swim." He suggested, only partly serious.

Anna eyed the gear Caius started to toy with, kneeling down to pick up one of the many trinkets laid out on the floor before turning it over to gaze at it. "That's sweet." She spoke quietly before placing the small thing on Caius's bed so they would not step on it. It would be a shame if anything got broken. Her thoughts wandered over to Cal who was likely with Soren now. She was glad to have her around as that meant even when she could not be with her brother, someone else was there to look after him. Even though Soren had gotten so strong and took the role as the elder sibling between the two, she often felt like she did all the worrying.

"I feel terrible. I haven't thanked her." Anna sighed. "Cal's done a better job keeping an eye on Soren than I have." She glanced at the locket. "He doesn't hate you. He's just..." Anna crossed her arms and hunched over to stare at the trinkets Caius had gathered. Though she had offered to help she had no idea how to do anything with those things. "...Angry." She closed her eyes and hummed softly as it made her feel better. The melody that came forth was one she had the vaguest memory of hearing when she was little. Something she had known even before she could form words but she knew she had never heard it from anyone she had met. It was a slow and simple tune, Soren even called it depressing, but it reminded Anna of home. Not where she slept but the idea of home, the idea of being with family. She liked to think that her mother had taught her that song and only held onto the hope that someday she might see her.

The pained look in Cal's teary eyes soon vanished as did the knot in his stomach when she smiled at him. Even if everything wasn't alright they could still make something out of this moment. "I would like that. We could do something now. It would be nice to cheer up. I even - I think I might know why you're so angry all of the time. I could tell you, if you want to know." She spoke up as she took his hands in hers and tugged gently to lead him out of the room. He followed without questioning where they would go, nervously glancing down at their hands.

"I just thought something was wrong with me." Soren looked back up at Cal and picked up his pace to walk beside the girl. "If you have any answers I'd like to hear them." He bit on his lower lip as he eyed Cal, thinking over something he should have done or said days ago. Before he opened his mouth Soren turned away feeling like he would only look like a fool if he tried anything. Taking a deep breath and reminding himself that the only ones around were just themselves, Soren refused to let his nerves get the best of him.

Even so, looking back at Cal only gave him a strange mix of feelings none of which were easily distinguishable for him. None except for fear. Fighting demons was becoming more like child's play to him, ironic considering his true age, but not once had he ever been afraid. "You're a good person, Cal. Much better than me." No, that wasn't exactly what he wanted to say. He smiled slightly looking her in the eye hesitantly. "You don't just look nice." For the longest time that was the only word he had for Cal and he thought it was time to change that. "You're the prettiest girl I've ever seen." Though he had not seen many one of which was his own sister. "Just...don't tell Anna I said that." He lowered his head, trying to keep his face from burning up.

Anna raised an eyebrow upon entering the room to see Caius...doing something. She tilted her head watching as he tried to hide what he was doing upon realizing that she was really someone other than he had expected to come barging in. "Hi little one." Anna sat on her bed as her eyes shifted to the things the boy had begun to drop. "What are you doing?" She smiled faintly. "Do you want any help with whatever that is?"

She walked over to the boy and ruffled his hair, frowning at how long it had gotten. Soren did not seem to care how long his hair was getting but maybe Caius did. "I could cut it for you." Though, admittedly, she had never tried such a thing before and would likely make it look terrible. But Caius did not have to know that.

Soren froze as Cal embraced him, he could sense something bad had happened but he had not expected it to be enough to get Cal to do anything like this. He slowly wrapped his arms around the girl and sighed deeply. She admitted he was right but even that did not leave a good feeling in his stomach. "I'm working on it, Cal." He stared down at girl and squeezed her gently. "It'll be okay. I promise." Soren assured her softly as he ran a hand through Cal's hair feeling more than just uneasy by having her so close, but whatever word for that there was had been lost to him. After a long moment Soren pulled back and placed his hands on her shoulders.

"I know this isn't a good time but there's a lot I want to tell you." Soren's eyes met with Cal's before he averted his gaze. "I know I've been a jerk. I know I haven't said any of the right things to you. I've spent more time training than speaking with you or even my sister." He lowered his head and chuckled. "So much is eating at me that I don't know how to process it. I've always been angry and most of the time I don't even know why. I'm sorry." He shook his head. "I feel something different for you and I've been meaning to talk to you about it ever since you kissed me." Soren took in a deep breath, realizing this had been the most he had spoken in days.

"Can we...do something? Today...or even tomorrow if you want. Just us. No training, I promise. Anna can take care of Caius." Though his sister would probably ask him for a favor in return if he asked her to do that. To Soren, trying to deal with any emotion other than anger was foreign to him, it was as if he was stuck with every negative emotion while his sister remained the most normal out of all of them it seemed. Soren sat down on one of the desks in front of Cal which put that at even height for once and stared at her, saying nothing more.

"Alright everybody, just calm down. This is America, this can't be the first time you've seen a gun being waved around." Frantic shouts and screams of people ducking for cover in the corners of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Already Manhunter had made short work of the security, not by killing them, but by shooting each and every one of the guards in the arm. Milo was glad to see that their investment in a little extra muscle for this heist was paying off.

"Tie 'em up, Wonder." Looking at that mask made him cringe behind his own, why did she have to pick something so creepy? Even if she was the only woman on the team, that didn't mean she had to play the part. As Wonder lassoed the tourists and employees Green and Flash stood by, rifles at the ready, to ensure no one tried to play hero and ruin the fun. As he passed Flash by, yet again he had to resist choking from the nightmarish mask chosen by his colleague. Apparently being part of the most elite organization of thieves in the world meant that they could not get a decent mask.

Leaving the four members of their league behind to deal with the hostages and sure-to-come coppers Milo (aka "Bats") headed towards his first stop at a display of a full one million dollars in singles that was meant for tourists to stop by and take pictures with. He smashed open the glass bulb with the butt of his rifle. He planned on letting the others worry about the had job of collecting the cash as there was another easier target for him. A briefcase with yet another million, also on display, full of Benjamins. Milo cracked his knuckles and tilted the case on its side to check the bottom for any trace of attachment to the stand in which it was displayed on. Nothing. He turned his head to the sound of sirens and cracked a smile. "Two million out in the open and all I had to do was break some glass and pick up a briefcase." He flicked the locks on the case and carried it out to the lobby where his partners were. "No wonder this economy's in the dumps."

He tapped Green on the shoulder, "Any word on Aqua and Supes?"

"They're coming." And in a hushed tone the masked man added, "What kind of cut are the rest of us taking?"

"Seeing as how I'm the bigshot around here..." He counted off the numbers in their league and nodded contently. "It'll be a six-sway split."

    "There's seven of us, idiot."

A muffled gunshot rang out, the barrel of Milo's rifle being pressed into Green's gut. "I don't count dead men." The others turned around to look at their dead comrade. "That's for the shitty movie. You know your jobs, get to work people."

    "Soren?"

"Huh?" Soren lowered his fists, turning towards the sound of Anna's voice. "What is it?" He did not have to ask. The look on her face was plain enough to see that she was concerned for him.

"This is all you've done. You said you'd even talk to Cal about how y-"

"I only said I'd talk." He looked down at the faint scars on his hands, the day before he had pushed himself a little too far but already they had healed up. "Do you feel it?" Anna blinked at his question and shook her head, confused. "Never mind." If she did not know what he was talking about, even with such a vague question, then that must have meant she could not feel that same anger he always did or sense the same things he could. He was glad for this, it was better to have his sister be oblivious to it than to feel something so dark.

"Cal's not in the room. It's just me and Caius there."

"Go back to our room. Play with Caius. I'll...I'll just try and...I don't know. I'll find Cal."

Anna nodded slowly, whispering something barely audible but he knew that it was something about him being careful. Anna headed back, she got along with the younger boy just fine when her brother--who surprisingly didn't pick on Caius--just avoided the lad. Soren followed Anna out of the training room, having nothing left to do as he did not want to slow his progress down by injuring himself again. The two went their separate ways, Anna going in to the bedroom to greet Caius, leaving Soren to figure out where Cal could be. Something that was not too difficult given that both Alistair and Lu, who was dragging the man, left the classroom.

He had forgotten the room had even existed. It was difficult to remember that there were other places besides the bedroom and the training room these days. Keeping quiet as to not draw attention to himself, he waited for the two to pass him by before heading inside, finding Cal alone with a red mark on her cheek as if she had been hit. He stood at the doorway and knocked on the already open door. "Hey," He quietly spoke up, "is there room for one more here?"

Iris stared at the door as someone knocked on it, refusing to come out just yet. She knew they had to move before something else happened but without Henrik, she saw little point in it. The only reason she had made it this far was because of him. Without her children and husband she lacked the will to get up. The only thing that kept her from ending it all was the fact that she knew Henrik was still alive. He was out there somewhere.

After a long moment Iris finally stood up, knowing she had to stay alive to find him. She pushed her door open and went with the others, folding her arms. She didn't belong with this group but unless Henrik found them, they were her only chance to reunite with her husband.

There were rumors of new clothing for Sora being orange. It had apparently been shown but since no pictures or videos emerged, take it with a grain of salt. Honestly, I really don't want red being the primary color again for Sora's outfit. And I always thought Mickey's clothes resembled Sora's not the other way around. Plus it's part of Nomura's style anyways.

Can't imagine any of the villains even having any offspring. Though it isn't canon to the animated movies so I guess in live-action canon it could make sense. Still, sounds like a terrible setup. Just make a Kingdom Hearts animated series, Disney. It'd be infinitely better than any this stuff.

Call, Beck's female partner, now has an official appearance. Sadly, it's a little too close to Roll but I still like the design. Oh and the official site mightyno9.com is up. It's been up for awhile so if you want to follow this game closely, that's where you should go.

Yeah, there really aren't any games similar to Kingdom Hearts. If you want a great fast-paced action RPG though, Dragon's Dogma is where it's at. It's more realistic than Kingdom Hearts and isn't as focused on combos as KH is, but it has lots of action and it's easy one of the best ARPGs out there.

Outside of that though, you're going to just have to search around. From Square there's really only Crisis Core, Type-0(which is a massive improvement over Crisis Core's combat but is only out in Japan), and FFXV.

Well, if you feel like going old school, play Secret of Mana(or even Legend of Mana). It's one of the first action RPGs ever made.

Oh, forgot to add in the Dark Cloud series as well. For PS2. Check those two games out.

Also, don't get an electric guitar unless you already know how to play guitar. Electrics offer too many distractions...*looks at gear* >> ...Just some friendly advice.

Anyways, I don't have any resolutions of my own. I never do because there's nothing really different from one year to the next. It's just a change of calendar. The best time to start change is always now, not when the next year comes about. That being said, the only thing I really want to do next year is get in some more practice time. I'm letting my 8 string go to waste by not being creative enough. It deserves better dammit.

Yet even more demons than the previous day littered the floor of the training room. Cleaning things up enough for himself to have enough room to put some more practice in took more time than he wanted. Soren gave it a running start, sprinting from one end of the room to the other. Just before he crashed into the wall Soren vanished in a swirl of mist that engulfed his body.

He landed hard on the other side, having to roll once he touched the ground to keep from hurting himself. Soren looked down at the crack in the ground where he had just reappeared. After regaining his composure and making an attempt to fix his ruffled hair with some help from his reflection, Soren stepped outside of the mirror room.

"We're not going to be running, are we?" Anna was already waiting outside.

Surprised that his sister was up, Soren scratched his cheek and stared at her. "No. Standing still is what I have in mind. But if we have to run I'll have trouble with...landing." He paused, he had never told his sister about having learned that ability. She had never seen him use it. No one had. The last thing he wanted was to get everyone's hopes up over a one-time fluke. Over the past week he had been doing his best to get better at it and while his first successful attempt had not done anything more than leave him drained, Soren was far from being confident about bringing anyone along with him, let alone traveling distances larger than one room to another. "How did you know?"

"You've been getting more serious about leaving. You wouldn't do that if you had no way out."

"Oh...well I haven't made any progress on it this morning. I'm as good as I'll ever get without actually trying to leave." Soren sighed and leaned against the wall, sliding down slowly to sit.

"Then there won't be a better time than now to try, will there?" Anna crouched in front of her brother, placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Are you serious? It could get you killed." Soren moved his head back to hit it against the wall in frustration. "I can't get better without going farther. I can't know if I'm able to bring anyone along with me unless I actually try. But we only get one shot at this..."

"I'm ready to leave. We can't take a ladder out of here anyways." Anna smiled. "If you're so worried, why don't you ask the others?"

Soren breathed out and nodded slowly. His sister was always right and he wished she wasn't. Greater than his desire to leave this place was a fear that he would hurt the others. After rising back to his feet Soren looked at his sister for a nod of approval before heading back to their room. "Cal." He nudged the sleeping blonde. "I have a way out but it might be dangerous. I...I need you to say you'll agree to it." As he spoke to her, Anna went over to Caius's bed to get the boy to wake up.

Henrik turned over towards Iris once more to make sure she was still close to him. Their eyes met once more he turned forward to cut down an approaching demon. Alone they could be slain without much thought but they weren't alone. Henrik gripped the neck of one of the possessed and threw it towards the mob with a telekinetically backed push. Henrik tossed his blade in the air and caught it as a spear before impaling the knocked down group of their enemies.

"Henrik!" Iris screamed behind him. He spun around just in time to decapitate another demon with an axe. In another instant it morphed back into a sword. Just before he could ask his wife if she was hurt yet one more demon lunged forth at the couple. A barrier of mist came between them, knocking the demon back down for Henrik to finish it off.

"God dammit Danel. After we're done with Lu you're next."

Of course trouble came along with Danel's appearance. Once more they were reunited with the familiar possessed and this time around they brought friends. Danel was the least of their concerns now. Henrik drew Nakah and turned towards Iris, watching as she stepped closer to him. "Stay near me. I'm not letting anything hurt you." She was all he had left now, if she died...

Henrik's eyes narrowed on the closest demon and stabbed his blade into the floor causing a rock spike to erupt from the ground and impale it. His other hand summoned the mist, Lei made no complaint to his using it. There was no voice to offer any advice anymore. He swung his sword in a wide arc, cutting off the head of one of the possessed and severing an arm of another. He thrust free hand outwards sending a wave of mist to slaughter several of the beasts before him. Leon's shouting cut over the sound of the chaos. They were already outnumbered.
"Come on!" He took Iris's hand and pulled her forward to run out of the mess before they were overwhelmed with Henrik cutting a path through out of the hotel.
