Sure, it could all be possible with just a touch of canon from the comic universe and continuity. But in the end, it's all about Disney vs. 20th Century Fox vs. Paramount vs. Marvel movie rights.

Again, I'm not saying that they shouldn't do marketing for 2.5 or for any of the other remakes they wanna do. For me, I still believe it's a little too soon to release 2.5 for next year as I am still engaged with 1.5. And I know it's a Square-Enix thing to announce something new and then let it aside for a long period of time. I was just hoping that they would at least mention anything (again, even something small) about KH3 along with showing off some stuff for 2.5.
But then again it's content that's technically not new to the general public. I'm not really trying to ask for a new full trailer or something, but perhaps like a small press release of some photos and Disney world concepts or something. The cat's already out of the bag, so Square really shouldn't be allowing things of this case to be let aside at this point.

Ugh, shame that they pushed away showing content for KH3 in favor of KH 2.5. Granted, it's not a bad alternative, but I was hoping to see possible announcements of the worlds to be appearing in the next installment. But quite exciting regardless.
Teh, about as fake as announcing Kingdom Hearts 3--- oh. But seriously, this came and gone like the wind. More than enough proof exists that it is certainly called just Kingdom Hearts.
