Ooh...the OSTs remind me of a mix of Uncharted and The Walking Dead, except a lot more dark and depressing. Now this makes me crave for the game even more. A good game isn't complete without a beautiful variety of songs and music.
Sanctuary, all of the XIII battle songs, and The Struggle
Just a quick update to them peeps out there. There will be a Collector's Edition that will be released in North America.
Hmm...it looks pretty interesting, but I'm gonna be honest, the whole aliens-attacking-Earth genre is kinda being wrung a bit too much in media nowdays. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's kinda wearing me out a little.
Having a simple name, I may not fully understand this, but I can see why people can be annoyed by this fact. I know many people who I know for years and I still cannot pronounce their name. It's not really their fault. It's how their parents named them. Not to mention it could also be pronounced differently. For example, there were two people with the same name, Arei. One pronounced Ah-ree and the other Air-ee. Hence, that's why they go by their nicknames. I guess having a unique name sets you apart from others, but it gives others a difficult time to pronounce your name as well.
Bleh a month in and I'm still not fully integrated back into this site @_@
Personally, I think this could be a horrible turn for future Star Wars Games. EA has gotten a lot of crap the past few years and it may spread to the Star Wars games. I can already see potential games being swamped with overwhelming amounts of microtransactions and DLCs. The only thing that shall raise my head to EA is IF they manage to bring back Battlefront 3...IN A GOOD WAY. Not some crap where 20% of the game is bought and the rest through DLCs.
Hmm. It's an interesting concept, but kinda sketchy. I mean...what if some crazy guy decides to trap like 100000 people in a MMORPG? In all seriousness, this is a hit-or-miss. It makes you see things you wish you could see, but then again, this will be used as an excuse for people to not wanting to embrace the world anymore and become addicted to virtual reality. It can be disastrous, but with some work, it can be a revolutionary product.
I don't want to hate G4, but I gotta be honest. It's been a downfall and still falling. It's like taking away cartoons from Cartoon Network. No one wants that, but that's the path they decided to follow. I haven't watched G4 in years and I don't plan on watching it in the future.
1. Electronic (includes dance, dubstep, house, progressive house, melodic dubstep, electro-pop, and like 50 others that fall under this catagory) most favorite genre 2. OSTs (I LOVE music from video games and movies). 3. Pop/Rock (Not really pop, but not really rock either. Kinda like a good mix of both) 4. Covers (Not really a genre, but I really enjoy those who make covers of the songs out there. Heck, many of them are better than the original) 5. Alternative (Kinda of a hit-and-miss. Either I really like it or I really don't)
I think how we advertise games today needs to change slightly. Many games give us a false sense of what a game contains whether it's through game trailers or information seen. One example is The War Z. It said it had massive maps, different servers either PvE or PvP, and much more. When people bought it, they were lied to. it had NOTHING what was told on the Steam site. Even now despite it's been fixed mostly, people can't trust what a game's faults have done. If a mistake has been made, it stains a company very seriously. Trailers need to be more realistic and show what a game REALLY has. Take Dead Island for example. When people saw the trailer, people were amazed and even emotionally turned by it. Except the game was nothing like that. It was just another zombie hack-and-slash game. I'd be lying if I said I hated it. I enjoyed the game, but I wish people and gaming industries would stop sugar-coating the game and be more straightforward with us. Long story short, they need to me more honest with us. More and more industries are resorting to giving us a false sense of a gaming's content and it really needs to stop.
Music plays an extremely strong role in our world. We cannot live without music. In some areas, music is their main source of communication and integrated into their lifestyle. While we may not go to that extreme, we adapt music into our lives. Music somehow defines how we are feeling. Sad? We play usually a sorrowful tune. Happy? We play an upbeat and cheery song. Angry? We play a somewhat violent song. It also defines what kind a person listens to. Every person has their personal preference on what they would want to listen to. Some like rock. Other likes metal. Another may like classical. It all depends on that person. No matter how much I try to imagine it, we cannot live without music. It's everywhere. For example, take MGM from Youtube. He can create awesome music with simple house objects such as cups, rulers, and more. Any sound we hear can be transformed into a type of music. On radios, video games, TVs, and everything else, it all needs music to help establish a stand on their point.
Yea you're gonna have to give it some time. It just came out recently so it's hard to give it a clear conclusion.
I can list so many. So many accidental wins in COD such as across-the-map knife throws, random no-scopes, and all that kinds of stuff. Me murdering like over 200 guards in one sitting in AC3 Mario Kart. 5th Place. Finish line in front of me. Blue shell flies by and hits the four players in front of me. I finish first. BOOYAH GTA 4. My car flew off the highway. Landed perfectly in a parking lot between 2 cars. Combat Arms. Getting so many Unbelievable killing sprees, my account got banned :c Vindictus. Me and my guildies killed Glas in like 2 minutes Fallout: New Vegas. VATS with an Anti-Material Sniper targeted a Legion soldier far away to a point where there is only a 1% hit rate. Needless to say, it was a beautiful bullet cam as it flew into his head. Final Fantasy XIII. Killed the Patriarch when we had less than 5% of our health and he was gonna finish us off with his LOLBLARGELAUGHATTACK. (Might post more if I can think of more)
To be honest, I don't like it how people define the word "friend" nowdays. I see people with over 1000 friends on Facebook and it's very doubtful they even talk to them face-to-face in real life yet they consider them "friends." Here's the thing. I think online is what people would say the "first step" in making friendships (unless you're a social media hater.) You can look at them on their profile, see what they do, their likes, dislikes, and others. If you see many similarities, then you could chat with them online. The real problem is that it stops there. A lot of people don't want to take their friendship to the next level and connect with them due to "awkward" moments. I see it as a lame excuse to not talk with them. A good example would be this site in fact. We make a lot of friends here and some even get closer than that. The chances of one of us meeting in real life is very low because of many factors such as location, timing, and maybe internal issues with contact with people. People nowdays find it much more comfortable talking to people when they aren't "really" there and I don't blame them. It's hard to connect with a person you just met online, but people need to learn to break away from that shell. Call the people online whatever you want, but true and honest friends lie in real life. I'm not saying that as if every single person you meet online is not possible to be a real friend, but face-to-face connection is what really ties the bonds of friendship the closest.
Yea right? Dubstep is a pretty cool genre, but how she does it makes it even more awesome and more graceful. It seems she knows where to put in the violin at the right places to make it sounds a lot better. On a side note, congrats on getting 1000 posts xD
PETA is a bunch of crap. CRAP. What's worse is that they target VIDEO GAMES. ARE YOU (insert not-so-nice language) KIDDING? They literally do nothing to actually "help" the cruel treatments of animals in the real world. Even if they do, they do a horrendously poor job at it. The most they will do is hold up signs and just protest. It's like the protests we have now, except no one cares. I literally want to puke every time PETA is mentioned on the news. They're just as bad as the Westbero Catholic Church. All they do is complain. When has PETA done anything right? Especially in the video game industry. It's like every time an animal (or meat...) is introduced in a game, they make some stupid excuse to get all fussy about it (like Cooking Mama...seriously...there's not even living animals in it). I'm sticking to the belief that PETA is just a bunch of easily offended vegans. What personal gain do they get from this? NOTHING. PETA needs to die and rot away. No one cares what they do and no one ever will at this rate. Kay I think I'm done ranting on PETA.
My parent's are like total hypocrites when it comes to technology. My mom says that technology ruins our minds and is a bad influence when she herself sits in her room like 3-4 hours a day just using her iPhone. Video games, she's always on my case on this. Every time I boot up a game on my computer or my console, she starts her (dear god) 1-2 hour rant on why video games are bad for me and they will make me a serial killer in my future. Call it her being concerned, but I don't see it that way. I don't want to get into a huge debate on video games and stuff, but I just think my mom uses technology as an excuse on why I'm doing poorly at school. At least my dad doesn't nag me too much on this case. He's mostly chill with technology.
NeverShoutNever - The Yippie EP I don't know what to really say to this cover. It just puts a smile on my face every time I see this art and I don't really know why. Maybe because of the songs it holds? Maybe just because how silly this art looks? Or maybe it reminds me of how great an artist Chris was before he went down a path no one wanted him to go down on? Whatever the case, one of my favorite album covers.
Heroes was my LIFE when it came out on NBC. I would actually do my work just to watch that show when it came on. I'm gonna be honest, It started to fall and tumble a bit after Season 3, but that was no excuse to stop watching it. Overall, it was a show well worth watching (btw, Sylar is on my top ten villains I love in media :D) Now about a reboot. I'm kinda skeptical on this one. Seeing how the last one went, it could just get completely haywire. I don't know how it'll work, but I am defiantly interested in a reboot of the series.
