It's called a retcon. Not everything in a teaser trailer *has* to be in the final product. The entire secret movie at the end of KH1 was just a concept of what Nomura had at the time for a sequel. It was eventually worked into what we have today. I don't care if the capes are optional; then people who want them can have them, if not (like me), we can ignore them. And AS a fan, I don't want the capes. I know they were removed because of the limits of the PSP, but I honestly don't miss them. They looked tacky to me and they really don't serve any purpose. All I'm saying is that it would be more cost effective to remove the one cape from one model used in one fight, with a limited moveset mind you, than it would be to add capes (animations if you don't want it to clip hideously into the models) to 3-5 models (Terra, Aqua, Ven for sure, Armor of the Master/No Heart if you want consistency with Keyblade Armored beings) that would be used more.
Wouldn't it be simpler, then, to remove the cape from the Lingering Will/Sentiment/Whathaveyou in KH2 and give it a keychain for it's keyblade? Much less work, still makes things consistent.

Well I found something related over in the KH2:FM thread; but I'd really like to get something for regular KH2. Like getting those randomly rare weapons, and maybe those "detection" removed weapons to mess around with. I really don't want to go thread diving to find it, though... I don't believe it's on the first page. EDIT: And I also saw over in that thread people changing the animations of enemies. Was anything done for regular ol' KH2 or no?
If Nomura's definition of "reaching consoles" is to take one of the games and turn it into a HD Theatre mode, I think he's missed the point. But enough of my whining.
What dumper? Ask root. 1. I haven't found that, myself. I'm just searching through the iso with a hex editor. 2. Ask root, no idea. 3. What? 4. Can't help you with that either.
Possibly. I'm not sure honestly. I'm also not sure why root would start with the original Kingdom Hearts and not Final Mix. Speaking of, root, if you ever come back, I can't translate the magic. The gummi blocks, yes. The individual journal entries (at least the name), yes, but i need to find the magic and abilitites. Any help with that would be great.[DOUBLEPOST=1363365476][/DOUBLEPOST] Possibly. I'm not sure honestly. I'm also not sure why root would start with the original Kingdom Hearts and not Final Mix. For me, I liked looking into how the Organization worked. How the members treated each other. The relationships. I'm still actually playing it, although I know the ending, just to see how much more interesting it gets. One of my favorite parts of the game was the very beginning; the tutorial missions with those doomed members who got shipped off to Castle Oblivion. Larxene was wonderfully dry and evil, Marluxia was mysterious and interesting (to me at least), Vexen and Zexion were very very smart and understanding, Lexaeus... Still not that interesting.... Honestly if they would remake 358/2 Days on a superior console, something that would allow for more enemies on screen and less lag when there are too many effects (5+ heartless + Roxas using a limit... My poor DS cried.), and changed up the missions, maybe sent Roxas and crew to some different worlds, it could really work. That and multiplayer. I want to play as Xemnas (or even Ansem, that would be awesome [a guy can dream!]) with my KH-loving friends.
At the very least, *if* Square ever does decide to remake Days as a game and not a movie, they have all the cutscenes and voice work left over. For the in-game quotes they probably have higher quality versions left over from the original (or they could reuse sounds from RE:CoM and KH2:FM). I'm probably the only person who actually liked Days. But finally getting back on topic, I can't wait to see BBS in HD. I wonder if it will still have multiplayer?
Calm down, jeez. Do you have a hex editor?
Although also not technically the final boss, Young Xehanort still kicks my ass. I've actually been able to beat Julius with less stress than Young Xehanort; that guy is tough.
...
If more worlds means that I get to stay as far away as possible from Wonderland, then bring on the new worlds.
Speak for yourself; I still want to PLAY 358/2 Days in HD and, since it seems like this is how it's gonna go, Re:Coded should be a game too.
Um... Well. I tried to translate Firaga (magic) into English but only managed to find the Firaga Gummi piece. I guess I can translate those for now.... EDIT: Some progress. Still haven't found out where to translate the magic commands though.
So if I use the "Equipped mod" with one of those weapon digits, and changed the weapon to something else, would I keep the weapon in stock?
I know that there is a code to grant yourself 98 copies of all the keys, staffs and shields, but is there a way to give yourself a single copy of a specific weapon? Specifically, the Heartless/Nobody weapons that Donald and Goofy get from random drops.
Right now, without the new text table, it'd be like that first KH2FM patch (the all caps one) rather than Xeeyamo's, but it seems like it, yes. I wish that root would come online more often so we could discuss what we're going to do, but so far, we have the start menu translated on both the original release of Kingdom Hearts and Final Mix (albeit with FULL CAPS).
Oh okay cool. I'll check it. What should we work on next? Does any of those values help? Also, I've finished porting the translation (of what we have so far) over to Final Mix.
