This is pretty much what I was thinking. Jabby shall reign.
Thank you guys. It's appreciated. :c I'm...Sorry. I don't know how I did that exactly, but yeah. I'm sorry for any mistakes.
Moved to OOC. Good luck.~
Last night I had a dream that I'll try to keep brief. I dream often of KHV members so I think this is a good idea. Here's one from a few nights ago, first. One dream I remember is that Ghetto signed up to sing in Under the Sea and instead of singing his parts he did this whole...rap solo and it was awkward for me, as I was wondering whether to include it and ignore everyone else singing the parts he rapped over, or to tell him "lol no". Thing is, the rap sounded really cool and I wanted to include it. That's the only relevant part of that dream. The rest is kind of ... not worth discussing. Now, last night's dream is very strange because it was like I was 'playing' two people in the dream (neither one was me) and I'm not exactly sure what was going on. It was also extremely vivid and kind of horrific, so apologies. I won't get too into it. Basically, I was Fuzzy's daughter and I was dying. In order to keep me (it wasn't actually ME, I was seeing it through the eyes of this girl) alive via some Satanic ritual something, Fuzzy had to kill people. He was apart of this institute/University and he would manipulate the students and brutally murder them, draining their blood and somehow not getting caught. I don't know the exact process, but somehow this was keeping the girl alive. She, however, wanted him to stop. She just wasn't sure how to go about asking him to let her go because he was so consumed by her. Apparently, he had gotten some girl pregnant when he was a young teenager. Like 15. The girl didn't want to abort and her parents didn't make her, despite the fact that she wouldn't have been able to handle childbirth for some reason (lol). Anyway, after knocking her up, Fuzzy's family pretty much disowned him. So after she had the baby and died, he was distraught and kind of snapped, I guess. Especially after being told the baby was going to die. Anyway, the second person I was seeing things through was some guy who was best friends at school with Fuzzy. This is where I get confused, because I don't know if I was myself trapped in this guy's body, or if I was just his guy friend. I say this because 'I/ he' was gay for him ... so. He didn't know and I was afraid to confess to him. FAST FORWARDING BECAUSE YOU GUYS DON'T CARE LOL. It eventually got to a point where gay!Jayn and Fuzzy were talking. gay!Jayn knew Fuzzy had a daughter and this conversation happened: f "You know something, man?" g!j "What?" "My daughter...she's really sick." "The medicine isn't helping?" "No. But there's something else." "What is it? You can tell me." "I can't tell you. You have to guess." /half-Jokingly. "Hmm...She's not real?" "..." "Dude?" "She's real." "Oh--" "Just dead." Multiple 'what the ****s' later, Fuzzy explains this awful ritual to gay!Jayn and gay!Jayn is like "Omg you've been killing everyone. IT WAS YOU" And Fuzzy was all "You want to help with the full Resurrection of my daughter?" Because apparently the girl was not only sick, but she was actually dead and he was keeping her alive with this ritual. So she was like a zombie. And that's all I'm going to share. lol.
Interesting, but...Kind of intense for me, lol. (/enjoys the spirals. /finds schoolgirl ***** too disturbing.)
Enjoy. :c I'm sorry. Spoiler Also...The people at the end when the logo pops up = Saxima (yeah!), Midnight (giggle) and Andrew (love the little mermaid btw). There were some other's who recorded random things at the end but sometimes I can't tell if it's for the actual chorus or if they're just talking to me as some of you do. xD;; Also, I feel like I'm missing something but I'm just going to hit submit before I drive myself insane.
Thank you. ;c So...I remixed it later today after all. I'm still not happy with it, but it was either start completely from scratch and take even longer or just release it ... so that I am doing. Releasing it. Forgive me for the mistakes. I also rendered the video twice, which is why it took so long to post. Made a couple of mistakes and switched the audio track. There's still a mistake in the video but I won't point it out--please don't look for it either, I apologizeeeee. It's currently uploading to YT.
It's alright. I just have a hard time communicating through VM with people now adays. I'm more of an MSN/Skype person. xD You're not a bother,...
^^^^^^^ And even if it wasn't, who cares? There are a lot of people who don't like anime.
You guys don't have to apologize. Honestlyyyy. I just thought maybe if I explained things better it wouldn't seem so complicated. xD @Myst; You're fine. c: Everyone is fine for Under the Sea. I'm working on it right now. Edit 10:23pm Mmkay, video placement is donnnne. Edit 2:03am Name placement -- done. Edit 5:20am Mixing is done. (aka; jayn quits )
@MoK; I'm glad you liked it. ;__; I know you honestly don't care about the picture, but can I have...some kind of guideline? xD Like a certain character or series or something? @Thread; I'd appreciate it if you guys told me what you were ordering before the form(s). Just want to be sure.~ hurrr. Once again, be careful with this code. KHV hates HTML. Alrighty. Tutorials and rule revamp is done. Linking here, just in case anyone wants to look it over before Hey Jude! I'll be working on the video a lot tomorrow/today.~ Also, thank you GB. c: It's all good.
Rules&General Information|In-Progress/Completed|Voting and Suggestions|Applications|Tutorials May add more. I dunno. May this help you. How To Record Spoiler: Video Tutorial Spoiler: Written Tutorial ▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐▐ THE PROGRAM 'Kay so I use Sony Vegas to record now, but I used to use Reaper. This tutorial will be for that. I've been told it's actually a lot more complicated than Audacity, but it's what I know best and I hate Audacity with the vastness of a billion galaxies. You can find Reaper here. It's not free, but the trial won't ever run out so it's kind of free ...except not.Anyway, I'm using version 4.21. It should look like thiswhen you launch it.CHECKING SETTINGS First thing is first! You should make sure your input and output are correct. This means...You should make sure the program will be picking up sound from the microphone you want to use, and the sound should come out of the speakers you want to use.To check this information, go to Options > Preferences. This should pop up automatically. As you can see, there are two drop downs. Just double check and make sure that looks okay. Keep how to get here in mind in case you record and it doesn't work right. Adjusting this is most likely how you'll fix it. ACTUALLY RECORDING This is the part that gets confusing, so pay close attention. The way I do it is probably the more complicated way of doing it, because I know a lot of KHV Chorusers don't actually download the song they're singing. They usually play it on Youtube and sing along with it. My way is more tedious, but will leave you more room to actually fix any mistakes you made without having to start completely over.I usually sing with the instrumental because singing with the original singer makes me nervous, but for the sake of the this tutorial, I'll pretend that I do sing with the singer, haha. First, add two new tracks to the project. Track > Insert New Track (do it twice for two new tracks). On one track, you'll be recording. On another track will be the song you're singing. In your case, this is With Me by Sum 41. I don't know you personally, so I'll just say there are various ways to download this MP3. You can buy it from Amazon, or iTunes, or you can use a Youtube to MP3 converter and delete the track when you're done with it. I don't encourage any 'illegal' methods but you know, do what you will if you don't already have it. c;To import the MP3, click on track one to make sure you have it selected, and go to Insert > Media file. Find where you saved the song and select it. When it's inserted, your screen should look something like this. (Except your media should have peaks...which is the white line thing, ugh so hard to explain, haha). Now click play. (Bottom left). Make sure you can hear it. Good? Good! If it's not good, head back to Checking Settings. If it's all good though, then continue onward! Note: MAKE SURE YOU USE EARPHONES/HEADPHONES WHEN YOU RECORD.The next step is to arm your recording track for recording. ...This is pretty much just telling your computer to pay attention to your microphone. Click on Track 2, the track that the song IS NOT on. This assures that you will be recording on a new track and not over the music. To arm track two, make sure it's selected and then click the record button on that track. That's the red button on the left. When you do that, you should notice a response when you talk. The meter should now be another color and responding to your voice. Now comes the fairly simple part. All you have to do at this point is sing. Sing your parts and the black lines. Just hit the record button at the bottom after making sure the song starts from the beginning. If you hover over the buttons at the bottom, what they're called will pop up if you get confused. But yeah, hit record. You do NOT have to have the recording window up while you sing, meaning you can pull the lyrics up if you don't know them and sing while you record. If you cough or something during a part that's not yours, don't bother with it. I'll fix it for you. You don't have to worry about things like that. All in all, when you're done recording, just hit the stop button at the bottom left corner. If you make a mistake, the nice thing about recording my way with the music right there is that you can just keep singing if you mess up, then you can go back to the part you messed up on and re-record. There are a few ways to re-record...First of all, if you want to delete a mess up without deleting everything, simply find the part right before you messed up on and hit 'm' on your keyboard. A marker will appear so you know where the mess up started. Make another marker where your mess up ended. Markers look like this. After you do that, click the first marker and hit 'S' on your keyboard. Click on the second marker and hit S. There should be a clear difference section cut off. Click that section (the section between the two markers) and delete it. Now only that section is gone but everything else is there. I highly suggest that if you sing a part over again you make a new (third) track and record it there after you delete the mess up. This way you don't have to worry about any weird overlap if you don't hit stop soon enough....You should be done now, lol.SENDING LINES Please send your lines in MP3 format to Chorus@KH-Vids.net.Before you save your lines, MUTE or DELETE the song you were singing with. I only want YOUR tracks, not the instrumental or the original, I should only hear your voice. After you delete the instrumental/original track, hit play. You can skip (just click where you want to listen) to where you want to here. Just make sure your voice is the only thing heard. Now you're ready to render it.Go to File > Render. This thing pops up. Change Output Format to MP3 and choose where you want to save it. Hit Render (1 file...) After that all you have to do is send it. It'll save in one long file. I don't want a zip file or for you to split it or something weird, just send it as it is.~...*Ices fingers*Ask me for any clarification you need. x: There are definitely other ways to record, but yeah. That's how I do it. PICTURE RESOURCES & GUIDELINES I would like you to chose a render image. This means it's completely transparent in the background. Full body (from the head to the shoes/feet) would be preferred and the best. You can find some renders here. It's in French but it's not that hard to navigate. The search bar is in the top right corner. You can also find renders on DeviantArt, BakaRenders and Google Images. There are more sites too, but yes. Here are some guidelines on what your picture should look like (this is also in the video tutorial above). Full body. From the top of the head alllllll the way down to the feet. Yes, yes. Standing up. Not crouching, not ... doing something weird. Standing up, please. HQ. Aka, high quality. No jagged edges or anything. Only one person to represent you. No background. Completely transparent (in the back). I'd prefer it to match your gender voice type. It's just awkward when someone with a super deep voice has like...a loli, lawl. Not cut off at the top or the bottom or sides or anywhere. TIPS & TRICKS// Try not to sing too closely to your microphone. It makes certain words/letters 'puff/pop' which can make your quality sound lame. // Similar to that, stay still! If you can help it, no cords should be touching you and you should try not to touch your microphone. Try to find something to prop it up on that'll keep still. We can hear you move and it also messes with the quality of the entire performance. // LISTEN TO YOURSELF. When you're done recording, go back and listen to it all of the way through. If you messed up, go back and FIX IT. Put a little effort into it, yeah? If you trip over your words, it's really considerate of you to go back and re-record. If you were moving too much/too many pops and clicks and restlessness, try to go back and re-record. //On that note, try not to sing too loudly. When you're peaking, it distorts everything and it's really hard to fix. Step away from the microphone, kids. <3 Reversing that, if you sing quietly, it's 'okay', but try to sing at a normal volume. When you're whispering it's not singing, it's whispering, and you blend in with whatever hiss or buzz your microphone may give off.
【OOC: N/A】 While Krowley gave his usual tour, Annalynne listened cheerfully. She was always genuinely interested in the history behind the pieces--and gallery itself, and the tour never bored her ... though she would often forget most of what was told. She stayed near the back as Krowley led with at the front. This was routine, and this way she could make sure no one wandered off--though they never did. Again, she was surprised at how many interesting and contrasting personalities there were in the group. She found her attention drifting away from Krowley's voice and directed more towards the mutters and whispers of the group before her. Most of the group for today seemed positive. ...Well, positive enough not to frighten her as Krowley used to, but there were a few personalities that she found intimidating. The girl in purple, for example. She didn't seem as venomous as she did as irritable. The girl in green also set off a few alarms. What was she so jumpy for? It was making Annalynne nervous. The rest were okay from what she could tell ...though she wouldn't be able to tell much from just a few minutes with them all.As they approached the elevator, the small girl took a deep breath. The elevator door was this large, steel thing with dark silver patterns carved on the outside. The door sat perfectly below a row of neatly placed numbers--going all of the way up to the eight floor--that lit up respectively (the shaft was currently descending from floor 5). Being that the exhibit was still fairly new, the buttons on the outside were still pristine and shining and as the doors started to part open, the faint scent of new (royal red) carpet wafted towards the group. Even so, elevators--and heights in general--made Annalynne nervous. She would always have to suppress any discomfort in order to remain professional."Here we go," Her voice was melodious and full of energy as she waited for Krowley and the others to step into the elevator. She stepped in herself at the end, and placed herself near the controls. "up to floor number two."For some reason, she couldn't help but glance over to Krowley for confirmation that that was where they were going -- even though it was and it never changed. She was never too sure of herself, though she subconsciously attempted not to come across that way. Her finger reached out to press the big, round '2' button. Spoiler ...That was weird and didn't usually happen. She was about to apologize before she felt something strange. It was like the feeling you get right before plummeting to your (possible) doom from the top of a roller-coaster track. It made her feel dizzy and disoriented, even though it didn't seem like they were moving at all. Actually, it felt like they were stuck in between something. ...And then that changed. Spoiler Before anyone could really register that initial weightlessness, the elevator jolted and a loud scraping noise was heard from above...or below. Actually, Annalynne couldn't really place it. She just winced and stumbled back--hoping she wouldn't hit any of the visitors. The motionless feeling of before was long gone. The elevator jolted, and Annalynne felt nauseous. She stayed close to the ground as the elevator shaft seemed to shoot upwards. She wasn't much of a screamer, but she found herself curling up into a ball and inching herself close to one of the back corners. She could feel herself trembling, but she only buried her face deeper into her knees."Oh dear...K-Krowley?" She had no idea what he could possibly do about it, but it was reflex to consult him (however mean he was) when things went wrong. She had been so quiet and mousy that she wasn't sure he would hear her.
Aw...No, it's okay. My fault. :c I spent all today making a 20 minute video tutorial for KHVC so it's all good. I'm going to rewrite the rules/information sticky tonight.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. <333 I'm going to update the OP when I save them to my computer. v: But otherwise, thank you guys. Edit; Mixing. You guys are going to give me a heart attack. I think I'm going to rewrite the rules just to make things...easier to understand. I'll do a bunch of examples to help you guys. Edit2; I don't feel like bothering anyone individually anymore. Just. In the future, please. Spoiler: ********** > If you sing the entire song, send me one version with JUST YOUR LINES and another with all of the lines. It's hassle to cut them up and the entire process takes longer. Please. I. Just. Want. Your. Lines. > Stop sending me your lines in a long file. Space them out with the instrumental. No back to back lines meaning singing "the seaweed is always greener in somebody elses lake, under the seeeea, the carp plays the harp" etc, please stop. Sing your lines, and only your lines, and let the silence stay there. > Please don't sing lines that aren't yours unless they're in another file that you send. Just sing your lines. Only your lines. > Black lines = sing them please? ;c It's a hassle to pick apart who sang them and who didn't and then only show those who sang them instead of showing everyone at once, so I usually just show everybody--which is stupid because it's obvious when everyone is not singing them, lol. Please sing them. > Pay attention to the notes at the top of every song. I will tell you if it's okay to sing along with the original singer or if you should try to sing with the instrumental only. If you ever need a reference, just ask and I'll sing you one. > If I provide a reference for extras like harmonies and stuff, please follow it. That's why I provide a reference. Not to be a control freak, but just...sometimes it sounds really bad. Really, really bad. Harmonies should be in-sync and they're more technical than ad-libs. Ad-libs you can have fun with and be individual about. Harmonies, however...Uniform and leveled. It's like the difference between a solo and a quartet. You can be as unique as you want in your solos, but if you're singing with someone else and decide it'd be a good idea to go full-out screamo then it sounds bad and it's unfair to whoever you're singing with. There's a time to be uniformed, and a time to break free. I try to balance out the 'uniformed' and the individual parts. > I've been lax about the renders, but it's really helpful to pick one where the character is standing up. Head to toe is the best. It's better if there are no weapons or unnecessary...accessories. A good example is the 500 miles video. So awkward when your render has a sword or something. There should be absolutely no background. Noooo backgrounnnnd. I'd render our images myself, but I'm horrible at that so please help out. ;c I've considered just drawing everyone a render to use because that would be a lot easier for me in the long run--but would take much longer. Anyway, due to these...issues, I may take a tad longer with things than I had wanted to. I'll be working on the mix and the video as often as possible. I'm not really busy lately, so it should be fine, but I'll let you guys know when I have an exact date in mind for posting the video. Some people have approached me about KHV Chorus lately, and I just want to point out, I'm not mad right now. lol. I'll put together a better tutorial and better rules and information for you guys so that...it's clear and I don't have to keep reminding everyone. I appreciate it. I know a lot of these don't sound like a big deal, but it's not an individual thing. There are a lot of people to deal with and a short amount of time. For example, I run another chorus, there are over 10 people helping in staff and 16+ participating in the actual singing, etc, but full choruses take up to 4 months. I try to compress all of that into one week and unless I ask some of our volunteer to help, I'm doing everything that the 10 people do together in the other chorus in that amount of time. So I admittedly get a little ... hair-pull/slitslit when I try to find way to help this run smoother and to stay consistent and quick and it's like ... "*ignores all guidelines*" But part of that is my fault for not being clear enough, SO I'MA GET STARTED ON THAT MASSIVE TUTORIAL/RULE-RE-WRITE. But... with the exclusion of Dinny, there were no drop outs this time, so that's really good!
Thank you. Saxima Sabby Fearless Mish Waiting for your lines. Tell me if you've sent 'em already. Today is the last day.

Isn't there a difference between a 'homophobe' and someone who just doesn't agree with that lifestyle? I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the hatred associated with homophobia is not okay, to me. Yeah, you don't have to like gay people, and you can have another stance on their rights--I guess, but if your argument is that we should let homophobia be as it is, then I don't think you're using the right term? I'm honestly not sure... Maybe I'm wrong, but I've always associated 'homophobia' with hatred and intolerance and that is not okay. I don't think racism is the best example either. I guess you can not like a certain race, but being prejudice and placing an entire group of people into one stereotype shouldn't be okay either considering with all of the hate crimes and inequality that comes of that. Racism, like homophobia, is kind of associated with hatred, to me. So, um, in my opinion, 'if you are racist, you're racist' shouldn't be okay, either. If you don't want to associate yourself with a certain race, or you don't want your family marrying a certain race, I guess that's your business. But when it turns into such a hurtful thing, then no. You don't have to like it--but being tolerant of it is better than treating other people like crap. The Church/certain religions can disagree with homosexuality but telling people they're going to burn in hell and 'God hates ****', etc. No. If that's someone's opinion, then okay but you can't tell supporters of gay-rights to back off when those against it are putting up the same amount of struggle + hate. So...all in all I think it's okay for people not to agree with homosexuality. But being a homophobe is different. Everyone just needs to calm the **** down. /opinion
