Lol, I just had to reply to this even though it's a tad old.. At the time of eruption, I was stuck in the Netherlands, so in order to come home to Norway, me and my entire class had to take the bus for 17 hours through Germany and Denmark, followed by ferry for 4 hours and then 3 hours by bus, + approx 7 hours in waiting. All of this instead of the quick one hour and 45 minutes flight. Don't we all just looove volcanos? Worst part was that our travel time was extremely little compared to other people that had travelled for 3 days because of the volcano, poor things. http://theoatmeal.com/comics/volcano_name Got to love that comic strip xD And oh yeah, all air traffic in Norway was closed for at least 2 weeks, and it rained ash, yaaay!

Okay, now that I have you guys attention, I need some help. I have to do a short presentation on murder statistics and reasons for murder for my social science class (which is due tomorrow :/) And I've got the statistics and reasons and everything (so I'm not asking you to do it for me, ha) However, since I have had about 3 hours of sleep per night the past month, I am running a bit low on creativity. WHAT I NEED YOU GUYS TO DO is suggest, but also discuss various ways of presenting this in a fun way (Blurting out statistics and facts is soo boring, and also even more boring to listen to, we all know that) What do you think would be a fun way to present it, while still being serious, do also come with suggestions about what I SHOULDN'T do, and last but not least what do you guys consider something that would be fun to listen to? And if you can't think of anything fun, then maybe something creative/interesting? It's an oral presentation, but we're allowed to use power points. Abortion can be wrong and right completely depending on the situation. However, people have got to start thinking before they do anything. Abortion is taking away a life, however it's not always desirable to live. If the baby is born into ****** consequences (and that is probably why the mother wanted an abortion in the first place) why isn't it better to be aborted, than born into misery? Not everyone have parents that can help them take care of the baby, some women are still in school and without an education how the heck are she supposed to take care of that baby(I know about child support, but that doesn't get you too far). A lot of teenage fathers often flee, and again, the mother is alone. It's incrediblly hard to bring up a child all by yourself. A lot of people should never ever have gotten kids and a lot of pregnancies happen unintentionally. It should be up to the mother, or couple if an abortion is right. People should get kids out of love, but also because they feel responsible enough to take care of another human being, and bring it up to be a good person. Girls that get pregnant because the condom broke, but keep it because babies are cute, isn't always cut out to be great mothers or couples that accidentally get pregnant and think "why the heck not" are not in all cases good for the baby. You have to consider that it's actually another human being you're taking responsibility for. Of course many babies that could've been aborted grow up to have nice lives, but a lot of those babies don't. As for right now, I'm not even sure if I ever want a baby, just look at the world, it's basically tearing apart (yet it's beautiful) but kids that get born these days have to solve one heck load of problems. If a woman is forced to bring up a baby, it can be the best that ever happened to her, but also the worst. She might have to give up her entire future to take care of the baby, and that is just what ithe baby deserves, not all people are ready to commit to that. So isn't it better to have people that love each other and feel like they're ready for to bring that kid up properly and take responsibility for it, have a baby and support it through the rights and wrongs of the world, instead of having a woman that in reality was raped/never wanted a baby/isn't ready for it/possibly has no boyfriend or husband/isn't cut out to be a mother/ take care of that baby she never really wanted. Instead, she's forced to, and maybe doesn't even love the kid and place it in a foster home or orphanage. Or maybe they both end up on the street. Really, that is not always a good way to live, wouldn't it be better to have the abortion? Women that get raped and doesn't get babies out of love, how do those kids feel? "My father is a rapist and I live alone with my mother in a trailer park, sometimes she hit me and I don't think she really loves me" isn't exactly the best way of life. Everytime the mother look at that kid she's going to remember why that kid is alive, and maybe that kid isn't doing so well. Personally, I think abortion is sad, however if it's between abortion and bringing someone into a life that's miserable from the very beginning, I prefer abortion. We can all 'console' ourselves with the fact that the heart isn't developed until 2-3 weeks into pregnancy (I'm not trying to be a cynic here, it just might be a bit easier accepting before the heart is made, which we humans look upon as a very important thing). Abortion can be right and wrong in many different situations, but one has got to think of the consequences.
